"You want me to speed things up? Chen Mo snatched the Space Stone and used it as a glass ball! Tell me, how can this plan possibly proceed normally?!"
Despite the old God-King's furious roar, the Ancient One's expression remained unchanged.
I couldn't help but mutter to myself.
Why has this guy become increasingly irritable lately?
While Odin's temper wasn't exactly good before, he at least maintained the dignity of the Lord of the Nine Realms. Now, however, he's constantly cursing and has completely lost the majesty of a god-king.
Is it because Odinsleep is approaching and he's going through menopause? Asgardians also have menopausal woes?
The Ancient One coughed lightly and said calmly, "Don't worry, Old God King, I'll contact Chen Mo and explain things to him. You don't need to worry about this."
"What's the point of contacting him? That kid even dares to mess with my son now..."
The Ancient One didn't listen any further; the other person was just venting their emotions, and there was no point in saying anything more.
He unilaterally cut off the conversation, giving the God-King a cold shoulder.
Deep within the Golden Palace.
Odin's voice abruptly stopped.
He remained with his mouth open, his hands still gripping the armrests of the throne tightly. After several seconds, the old god-king slowly closed his mouth, and the anger on his face quickly returned to calm.
For the greater good of the Nine Realms.
He swallowed his anger for now.
The scene shifts to the top floor of Stark Tower.
Chen Mo was comfortably nestled deep in the sofa, holding a glass of iced cola, watching the holographic screen with great interest.
In the scene, Thor sits in the passenger seat next to Erin, engaging in a serious philosophical discussion with the female reporter—a historic step forward and meeting.
This means that something else has finally appeared in Thor's muscle structure and brain, which is cause for celebration.
"So you mortals' courage doesn't depend on the power they possess?"
Thor frowned, his expression serious, as if he were thinking about what to eat for dinner.
As Erin drove, she rolled her eyes at Thor.
"Yes, yes, yes, you are not a mortal, the great Son of Odin. Could you please fasten your seatbelt first? Otherwise, if we crash, you won't have the chance to study the courage of mortals!"
Thor glanced down at the seatbelt beside him and fell into deep thought.
Chen Mo crunched the ice cube, almost bursting out laughing.
This reality show is getting more and more interesting.
Just then, a circle of golden sparks suddenly rippled out in the center of the living room, and the movements of everyone and everything in the building instantly stopped; time stood still for that one second.
Sparks spun rapidly, forming a circular portal. The Ancient One's celestial projection emerged from the portal, her white beard reaching her chest, her face covered in wrinkles.
Chen Mo.
"What refined taste the old monk has, trespassing on private property so early in the morning?"
Chen Mo didn't even look up. He casually took out the dark blue Space Stone from his pocket and tossed it between his fingers twice.
"What, even the Sorcerer Supreme is starting to break and rob people now?"
The Ancient One glanced at the Space Stone.
"If I wanted to steal the gem, it would have disappeared by now."
That won't do.
Chen Mo immediately put the gemstone away, his tone very serious. "Because I'm going to knock on your door, and really hard."
The Ancient One ignored his antics and sat down on the sofa.
"Stop talking nonsense. I'm here to talk to you about something important, Chen Mo. Do you know that the world's timeline has completely spiraled out of control?"
"Oh."
Chen Mo clicked on another image on the light screen, the Ancient One sighed, relaxing the flow of time on the light screen.
In the scene, Thor is studying the rules of a promotional activity at a convenience store. He's holding a flyer filled with 5,000 words of small print, and his expression is even more serious than it was in the car earlier.
"So? How out of control is it?"
" Strange might die in the car accident, or he might be tormented by Dormammu in the Dark Dimension forever. Thanos might launch the war prematurely, or he might suddenly suffer a brain hemorrhage and decide to commit suicide."
The Ancient One paused, glancing at Tony, who remained motionless beside him.
"There's even a future where I see Tony leading tens of thousands of suits of armor out of Earth, trying to tap into the space market."
Chen Mo finally turned around.
"Actually, this future sounds pretty good. It's better to bully aliens than to be bullied by them."
The Ancient One looked at him.
"In that timeline, all the S.H.I.E.L.D.. agents following Tony cried."
"What a loser. Going to outer space with the boss to expand business—that's such a great perk."
The problem is they don't have a spaceship.
"Didn't they drive armored vehicles?"
No supplies.
"How novel! I already have armor; aren't supplies everywhere?"
There is no air.
Chen Mo paused for a moment.
"Okay, that's definitely a bit unreasonable."
The Ancient One rubbed his temples; he was almost used to Chen Mo turning any serious topic into a bizarre two-person comedy routine.
In short, the future is no longer stable. Every choice can lead to a new branch, and you are the biggest variable in all of them.
"Wow, that sounds like a compliment."
I'm just reminding you.
The Ancient One raised her hand, and golden light spread out in mid-air, with countless tangled timelines intertwined like a tangled mess.
"We could have made judgments based on the future. But now, we can't be sure when Thanos will act, which Infinity Stone he will choose, or even whether he will personally intervene."
Chen Mo looked at the beams of light, the smile on his face gradually faded.
So what do you want to do?
"We want to use the Space Stone as bait."
The Ancient One's answer was very direct.
"Spread the word, let Odin's unfortunate adopted son arrive on Earth ahead of schedule. If the Space Stone appears, Thanos might react."
Chen Mo blinked.
"So, you want Loki to cause trouble?"
He's always been one to cause trouble.
The Ancient One said calmly, "The only difference is whether it's a little earlier or a little later."
"Having Loki seduce Thanos by pole dancing with the Infinity Stones is a very creative script, but then what?"
"Let Thor complete his true transformation on Earth, and then, through Loki's actions, observe what cards Thanos will play."
The Ancient One looked at Chen Mo: "If Thanos sends someone to steal the Space Stone, it means he's started paying attention to Earth. If he takes action himself, it means the situation is more dangerous than we anticipated."
"What if he does nothing?"
"Then we'll keep waiting."
Chen Mo picked up the cola again, but didn't drink it.
He stared at the cup in his hand, his fingers tapping lightly on the rim.
The Space Stone is indeed a very good lure.
Once the news gets out, those guys in the universe who have designs on the Infinity Stones will eventually find their way here.
As for Thor and Loki...
One is fighting with the police in the street over a hot dog, while the other is probably still in Asgard plotting how to seize the throne.
Bringing them onto the scene ahead of time would certainly add fuel to the fire of this already chaotic timeline.
This looks like it would be really interesting.
His fingers suddenly stopped.
The Ancient One noticed this detail.
"So, you agree?"
"Of course, with the Sorcerer Supreme personally coming to our door, how could I not give him face?"
Chen Mo answered decisively, then abruptly sat up straight on the sofa.
"I've been so bored lately, I was just looking for something exciting to watch."
He raised his hand and waved, and the Space Stone flew out of his palm, landing precisely on the coffee table.
"Smack!"
The deep blue gemstone struck the glass tabletop with a crisp sound.
The Ancient One looked at the gem and a bad feeling rose in her heart. Chen Mo's easy relent meant there must be something wrong.
"What you up to?"
"It's simple. If you're going to put on a show, it's no fun if you only let outsiders on stage."
Chen Mo grinned, a dangerous glint of excitement in his eyes.
"I'm going to play myself this round."
The Ancient One's brow furrowed slightly.
"You just need to hand over the Space Stone to me, and we'll handle the rest."
That's so boring.
Chen Mo.
"Don't worry, I know what I'm doing."
Chen Mo reached out and picked up the Space Stone, casually twirling it in his palm.
"I won't just tear Asgard apart right away, nor will I storm into Thanos's house and ask him if he wants to eat."
The Ancient One looked at him silently.
This statement doesn't sound like a guarantee at all.
So what are you planning to do?
"It's very simple."
Chen Mo held up one finger.
"First, Loki can invade Earth according to your script."
The second finger is raised.
"Secondly, Thor can also grow according to your plan."
When the third finger was raised, the smile on Chen Mo's face had completely changed.
"But I need to modify the plot as needed."
The Ancient One's eyelid twitched.
"Can I modify it anytime, anywhere?"
"Right."
Chen Mo leaned back on the sofa and picked up his cola again.
"I can accept anyone who wants to leave early, anyone who wants to add extra scenes, and anyone who wants to bring a fleet to Earth."
He looked at Thor, who was intently studying the coupons on the holographic screen, and added with a smile:
"But this invasion of Earth needs a director."
The Ancient One stared at him for a long time.
You'd better not make a big deal out of this.
"Rest assured."
"But don't act too recklessly, as this could lead to many risks."
I'll try my best.
"Also, you can't take the Space Stone and run around the universe."
Chen Mo took a sip of cola and thought seriously for a moment.
"Um, shall I bring the enemy back in a package?"
The Ancient One: "..."
