A torrent of violent lightning poured down the hammer, covering the entire sky in white flashes. Mjolnir slammed into the transparent shield, and the terrifying power instantly spread throughout the borders of Wakanda.
The first layer of the shield dented on the spot.
The second layer of shield followed immediately, and the large expanse of pale blue light quickly dimmed. Countless energy nodes simultaneously lit up red, and system alarms blared frantically inside the palace.
[Defense against network overload.]
[The border shield is about to collapse.]
[It is recommended to immediately disrupt external attacks.]
T'Chaka stared intently at the screen, watching helplessly as cracks appeared on the surface of the shield.
The cracks continued to widen, quickly covering the entire shield.
"Your Majesty, the shield has reached its limit!"
The technicians' voices trembled. "If we continue to endure the attack, the main power network will be completely destroyed!"
T'Chaka gritted his teeth.
He certainly knew the consequences of continuing to resist.
Wakanda's technology was indeed far superior to that of the outside world, but the enemy was no ordinary army. There were several Helicarrier in the sky, countless unmanned combat aircraft and fleets surrounding them, and a god covered in lightning stood in front of them.
Not to mention the monster behind them that can turn the sun into a smiling face.
Even if the entire opposing fleet were suddenly wiped out, Wakanda would not survive against Chen Mo.
"Disarm."
T'Chaka closed his eyes briefly and said in a deep voice, "Surrender to the coalition forces and immediately cease all defensive attacks at the front."
The technician was taken aback.
"His Majesty?"
"That's an order."
T'Chaka reached out and pressed the communication button on the main control panel, preparing to transmit the surrender order to all frontline troops.
However, at that very moment, a string of unfamiliar code suddenly flashed through the control panel.
The surrender option on the screen disappeared instantly.
Immediately afterwards, all the lights in the entire palace turned a blinding blood red.
[The highest level of combat readiness order has been confirmed.]
[All border troops, fight to the death!]
Even if it means using self-destruct weapons, the intruders must be destroyed!
For Wakanda!
T'Chaka suddenly raised his head.
"No, this wasn't my order!"
His voice was transmitted to all the tribes via internal channels.
But by the time it reached the front lines, it had become a different, cold voice.
" Wakanda will never surrender! All warriors, launch a counterattack immediately! Even if it means self-destruction, we must make the enemy pay the price! We cannot allow ourselves to be oppressed and slaughtered!"
A brief silence fell over the border positions.
A few seconds later, the glow of energy munitions began to illuminate the position, and all the anti-aircraft guns simultaneously rose up.
T'Chaka's face turned pale instantly upon seeing this.
"Shut down the fire control system!"
He grabbed the communicator and roared, "That wasn't my order! Ceasefire!"
No one responded.
The next second, attacks from different units rained down from the sky, densely bombarding the Wakanda positions.
The shield, which was already on the verge of collapse, completely lost its stability during this round of attacks.
boom!
A massive energy explosion erupted, and the transparent shield, like a shattered piece of glass, instantly dissipated into countless fragments of light.
Tony hovered in mid-air, his armor system quickly locking onto all sources of fire.
I take back what I just said.
He raised both hands, his palms lighting up simultaneously. "It seems they're not planning on a civilized visit."
Dense beams of energy rained down from the sky, precisely striking the anti-aircraft gun emplacements. Before the emplacements could even shift their targets, their internal wiring was burned out by the intense heat, and black smoke billowed out.
Tony didn't directly attack any personnel, but his equipment and heavy weapons were not spared.
"Hey guys, take it easy. We can't let civilians get hurt."
On the other side, Steve led his exoskeleton troops into the border. The new shield blocked the oncoming energy blasts, its absorption layer flashing before releasing all the impact.
With a deafening roar, three armored vehicles were overturned.
Captain America landed, rolled once, and looked up ahead.
Several Wakanda soldiers charged forward, weapons at their ready, their faces contorted with near-madness. They had clearly seen the shield crumble, yet they showed no sign of retreating.
"Put down your weapons!"
Steve raised his shield and shouted, "Maybe we can talk!"
The soldiers at the front did not stop.
He pulled the trigger, and then immediately activated the self-destruct mechanism on his body.
Steve's pupils contracted, and he immediately rushed forward and knocked him away.
A violent explosion rang out in the distance.
The soldier was thrown to the ground by the Shockwave, but he still tried to get up and continue the attack.
"This isn't right."
Steve deflected an energy blast, frowning as he looked around. "They have no idea what they're doing."
"Captain, you finally figured it out?"
Tony's voice came through the communicator. "I've had this feeling since earlier that these guys' tactics are like they've all taken the wrong medication."
Can you think of a solution?
"I'm trying it."
Tony flew above an energy tower and released several miniature probes. The probes passed through the residual electric arc and connected directly to the energy tower's control interface.
A massive influx of data is being fed into the armored system.
Wakanda's defense network was more complex than he had anticipated; all devices were connected using Vibranium circuitry, and its core energy source was even capable of self-repair. However, the code that forcibly overwrote the military orders was a completely different technology from this system.
It left no complete trace of the intrusion.
It's more like it's hidden deep within the system, waiting for a specific condition to be met before suddenly taking over all permissions.
Tony's brows furrowed slowly.
"What is this thing? This isn't their program."
Banner's voice followed closely. "Are you sure?"
"Of course I'm sure, I'm a genius."
Tony zoomed in on the code structure using his armor, his relaxed expression gradually fading. "It didn't directly damage the system, but instead forged an instruction. It also altered the other side's voice in real time."
"In other words, someone is using Wakanda to wage war against us."
Black Widow took over the conversation.
Tony looked down at the soldiers charging relentlessly and said in a deep voice, "They're not just using us; they want this war to spiral out of control."
As soon as he finished speaking, more than a dozen thick energy pillars suddenly rose from the underground city in the distance.
Instead of attacking the combined fleet, those energy pillars simultaneously pierced the clouds, releasing a visible ripple.
All communication devices lost signal at the same time.
The Helicarrier's radar went completely black, the drones hovered in place, and even Tony's armor experienced a brief delay.
"Someone is using Wakanda's energy network to send signals."
Tony's face darkened completely as he stared at the constantly flashing red warning light.
"This battle is not about conquering Wakanda."
Deep in the sky, an invisible wave pierced through the atmosphere and headed straight for outer space.
Tony looked up into the darkness.
"They're reporting coordinates to something."
Inside the palace, T'Chaka finally rushed to the control panel. He ripped open the outer armor, revealing the dense network of wires inside.
One of the previously unseen green chips is embedded in the center of the core interface.
A dim light shone from the surface of the chip.
A line of unfamiliar text slowly appeared on the screen.
T'Chaka stared at the two lines of incomprehensible text, a chill running down his spine.
Damn it.
On the surface of the sun, the enormous black and red smiling face suddenly stopped changing.
Chen Mo's consciousness rose from the depths of the star.
"Um?"
He sensed some kind of unusual fluctuation that transcended space.
His smile widened even further.
"There are more experts?"
