A strange fish, over two meters long, was casually tossed onto the office floor by Chen Mo.
Smack
The strange fish also performed two Splash on the floor.
Ashley had just pushed the door open when she saw the thing rolling its eyes on the floor, and she froze on the spot.
"Sir, this, this is..."
"It's obvious, Ashley, that's a fish."
Chen Mo sat in the boss's chair, looking bewildered.
Ashley stared at the fish on the floor, its body covered in bone spurs and its eyes still glowing green, and her lips trembled.
"Sir, I know it should be a fish."
"Then what are you still asking?"
Ashley pursed her lips and fell silent.
That's because you threw this thing on the floor. Calling it a fish is a bit too abstract!
Edgar stood by the desk, glanced down at the fish, and then looked at Chen Mo.
"Sir, it seems your progress in exploring the new world is not ideal?"
"My goodness, it's more than just unsatisfactory!"
Chen Mo leaned back in his chair, his face etched with the exhaustion of a free-to-play player humiliated by a gacha pool with no guaranteed rewards.
"You know what? I seriously suspect now that this thing is deliberately messing with me."
Since he completely opened that invisible world passage, he has tried it dozens of times.
The results were unsatisfactory.
Of all the possible outcomes, a desolate starry sky is the most common.
The moment the clone appeared, all that was visible was the vacuum of space, with not even a single edible meteorite in sight.
There is also a post-apocalyptic wasteland.
There's a city, there are buildings, but there's not a single living person.
Chen Mo had his clone wander around for a long time, and in the end, all they found was a nest of mutated, glowing cockroaches that were almost starving to death.
Even cockroaches can't survive here.
Even more outrageous is that it can even be drawn from the center of a star.
The moment the clone appeared, before it could even finish uttering a curse, the connection was severed.
It has even been to the edge of a black hole once.
Chen Mo stared at the ever-elongating clone in the sensory image for a full three seconds in silence.
Then he decisively cut off the connection.
"That last one was even more disgusting."
Chen Mo pointed to the strange fish on the ground.
"We finally found a planet, but look what happened! The entire planet is water, not a single clod of mud. I had my clone dive down for half an hour, and all we saw were fish, and they were all incredibly ugly."
Ashley instinctively looked down at the fish.
The strange fish happened to be looking at her with its dead fish eyes.
Ashley quietly took a step back behind Edgar.
Chen Mo clicked his tongue.
"Don't you think this is like a customer winning a prize in a raffle and then getting a bag of dried seafood as a consolation prize from the supermarket?"
Edgar pondered for a moment.
"From a resource perspective, a the Deep planet is not entirely without value. For example, its unknown biological gene pool, adaptability to extreme environments, and the Deep pressure structures can all be compiled into samples for use."
Chen Mo looked at him.
" Old Ai, you really have a knack for finding gold in garbage dumps."
"Sir, this is my job."
Edgar spoke calmly.
"Additionally, I suggest you assign a number to each exploration. Mark it as barren, dangerous, resourceful, huntable, or strategic. This will prevent you from repeatedly wasting your energy on meaningless explorations."
Wow, this sounds like you're making a game walkthrough.
"In fact, we can also understand it as cross-world asset management."
Chen Mo's lips twitched.
"By changing that word, the original adventurous feel suddenly became more sophisticated."
Edgar did not deny it; he picked up the tablet and began creating a new categorization table.
"Sir, you may continue exploring. I will organize the rest."
"Okay."
Chen Mo raised his hand, and a drop of dark red blood dripped from his fingertip.
The blood spilled onto the ground and quickly swelled into a clone identical to him. The clone then vanished from the office in a flash.
The next second, Chen Mo closed his eyes.
Switching perspectives.
Before the clone could even open its eyes, a piercing scream rang in its ears.
Finally, it's not a vacuum, nor is it the center of some shitty star.
This time it's on the streets of the city! Wow!
"Cheer for me! Cheer for me! Hahaha! Oh dear, where did this come from?"
The clone opened its eyes. Overturned cars were parked by the roadside, and the streets were littered with wreckage and flames. In the distance, soldiers with guns were hiding behind armored vehicles, and urgent shouts could be heard coming from their communicators.
"It's here again! Stay hidden!"
The clone hadn't had time to observe the situation further.
An exaggeratedly large monster, covered in a yellowish-brown color, suddenly crashed down right in front of him.
The opponent was over two meters tall, with bulging muscles all over his body, a row of bone spurs growing from his back, a face full of rage and murderous intent, and a pointed head, suggesting he possessed the power of nine dragons.
The clone looked up at him, and the monster looked down at the clone.
The two stared at each other for a second.
The clone blinked.
"Hey buddy, which gym do you work out at? You've been using a lot of performance-enhancing drugs, haven't you?"
Bang!
A giant fist slammed into the clone's face.
The clone flew sideways, smashing a taxi on the roadside, then shattering the glass of a convenience store, before finally crashing into the middle of the shelves.
Potato chips, drinks, and chewing gum were spilled all over the floor.
In the office.
Chen Mo opened his eyes, his expression somewhat bewildered.
Ashley asked cautiously, "Sir?"
I think I've won the grand prize!
Chen Mo stroked his chin.
"The initial experience isn't very user-friendly."
After saying that, he immediately switched his consciousness to that direction.
Inside the convenience store.
The clone—no, the body now taken over by Chen Mo —sat up from a pile of shelves, looking disheveled.
He glanced down at the Coke bottle he had somehow managed to grab; the cap had been knocked off.
However, there is still half a bottle left.
"It's alright, not all of it spilled."
Chen Mo stood up, patted the potato chip crumbs off his shoulder, picked up the Coke that the machine had dispensed, and took a sip.
Heavy footsteps could be heard outside.
The monster is walking towards the convenience store.
On the other side of the street, several men in black suits stood behind cover. One of them, an agent carrying a longbow, stared in the direction of the convenience store with a rather grim expression.
Who is that guy?
"I don't know, sir. There's no record of him in our database."
"How did he end up in the center of the battlefield just now?"
"Um, we didn't see it clearly either; it seemed to appear suddenly."
The man paused for a second.
"Things are getting increasingly out of control. Let's report this to the chief."
The nearby reporters were even more excited.
The camera was originally filming the yellow monster, but suddenly a strange man who had been beaten into a convenience store but was still alive appeared. Now he's definitely going to be the headline tomorrow!
"Take a picture of him! Quick, take a picture of him!"
He stood up again!
"My God, is he drinking Coke?"
"Yes, it's still Coca-Cola!"
The soldiers were also dumbfounded.
They fired for a long time, using heavy machine guns, Rocket, and grenades.
The monster just got more and more violent.
Now, a man who appeared out of nowhere, after being punched away by the monster, actually walked out as if nothing had happened.
Is this reasonable?
Chen Mo walked out of the convenience store.
He looked at the monsters on the street, then at the damage left by the yellow-skinned monster not far away, and quickly made up his mind.
Yellowish-brown, with bone spurs, and a large size.
The city was destroyed, and there were a few sleazy secret agents nearby.
"Oh."
Chen Mo suddenly realized.
" Abomination!"
He glanced again at the soldiers and agents around him.
"Did this mean I got the Hulk role in the movie?"
This is getting interesting.
I just don't know which timeline it is.
If it were a comic book storyline, he'd just be a slightly bigger grasshopper.
If it's a typical Marvel Cinematic Universe, then it's not a big problem.
Abomination man looked down at the man who had come out again, his anger growing even stronger.
"Who are you?"
Chen Mo took a sip of cola.
"I'm just a Kamen Rider's passing by."
Theoretically speaking, the two things on his eyebrows furrowed deeply in Abomination.
"Just passing by, what what?"
"Right."
Chen Mo nodded, his tone quite serious.
"I was just looking for something to eat, and you punched me in the face right off the bat. Honestly, this place isn't very polite."
The reporters in the distance laughed even more excitedly.
"Hehehe, being able to record this kind of scene, I would have no regrets even if I died now!"
Hawkeye, the leader of the special agents, stared at Chen Mo, his gaze becoming even sharper.
There was neither tension nor fear.
Even after being hit head-on by a Abomination punch, he can still speak as if nothing happened.
This mysterious man's level of danger is probably even higher than Abomination.
Abomination took a step forward, and the asphalt road beneath its feet cracked.
"You dare to underestimate me?"
Chen Mo tilted his head.
"No."
A look of utter Abomination spread across his face.
"Then why are you still standing here?"
"Because your punch just now was too ordinary."
Chen Mo offered a sincere critique.
"Your strength is okay, but your technique is terrible. If you played like that in a gym, the coach would probably yell at you for wasting protein powder."
The street fell silent for a moment; even the distant sound of helicopter rotors seemed less noisy.
The expression on his face was completely distorted with Abomination.
"You're asking for it!"
He suddenly bent down, used his legs to propel himself forward, and charged towards Chen Mo like a cannonball.
The ground was blown apart.
The wreckage of the car was blown away by the blast wave, and the streetlights on the roadside bent instantly. The soldiers instinctively ducked down.
"Fire!"
Someone shouted.
But no one actually pulled the trigger.
Abomination had already rushed towards Chen Mo.
That fist, bigger than an average person's head, slammed into Chen Mo's chest with terrifying wind pressure.
Chen Mo stood still.
He held up the bottle of cola with his right hand.
The next second.
boom!
The blast wave exploded between the two men, clearing away all the debris and cars in the vicinity.
The soldiers watching were blown backward, and the reporter's camera almost flew off its screen.
When the smoke cleared, everyone saw what had happened.
The fist of Abomination froze in mid-air.
Chen Mo only extended one finger.
The finger pressed against the fist, remaining completely still.
He was holding a Coke bottle in his other hand.
The liquid in the bottle slowly disappeared.
Chen Mo put down the bottle, looked up at Abomination, and gave him a mocking look.
"So, that's it?"
The nearby groups of people were all stunned.
The camera lens was fixed on the man in the middle of the street.
Nobody knows who he is.
But everyone had the same thought at the same time.
What exactly is this thing?
