• Chen Mo negotiated part-time work for Death and learned that the Ancient One was his first debtor, then discovered the Ancient One owed power and lifespan to numerous creditors.
• Chen Mo infected the Ancient One with Blacklight cells to protect his claim, but Shuma-Gorath and then an alternate-world Strange and Ultraman arrived at the New York Sanctum.
• Chen Mo defeated Ultraman while the Ancient One studied his interdimensional cape, and the Crime Syndicate attacked S.H.I.E.L.D. before Chen Mo tracked them to their base.
• Chen Mo killed Superwoman, Power Ring, Death Stormfront, and Atomica, then learned their access to interdimensional travel had been arranged by a hidden mastermind.
• Chen Mo captured the real Nite Owl and recovered coordinates and equipment designs, but a hidden safeguard erased Nite Owl’s memories of the mastermind and destroyed his ability to function.
• Chen Mo told the Ancient One, Odin, and S.H.I.E.L.D. that the Crime Syndicate had been pawns, then called for the Interstellar Plan to prepare Earth for further threats.
• Fury presented the World Security Council with evidence of Chen Mo absorbing stellar energy, and the council unanimously handed global defense control to S.H.I.E.L.D. at 6:10 p.m.

Chen Mo helped Earth and Asgard prepare for Brainiac’s invasion, then traveled to a cybernetic Gotham and joined the Joker Gang to find a mysterious man. The arc ended when a black crystal appeared in the District Nine data center and addressed Chen Mo.

• Chen Mo stopped Brainiac’s transmission from exposing Earth, helped defeat its machines in Wakanda, and revealed the threat posed by Brainiac’s collection of captured heroes and destroyed worlds.
• Fury launched a worldwide crackdown on dangerous groups while Tony, Reed, and Banner built a giant mecha with Asgardian troops and dwarven craftsmen.
• After the mecha’s dangerous first test, Chen Mo left his avatar on Earth and sent a clone into a damaged city in another universe.
• Chen Mo learned that corporations and gangs ruled Night City, killed Bloods collectors and gang leader Buck, and headed toward Nite Owl’s tower.
• Lex Luthor sent Obsidian troops to capture Chen Mo, but Chen Mo killed them and accepted V’s invitation to the Joker Gang’s headquarters.
• Joker told Chen Mo that a mysterious man had offered to help him in exchange for delivering Chen Mo, then proposed cooperating to find the man and destroy Nite Owl and Luthor’s rule.
• Chen Mo agreed to break the city’s strongest defenses while leaving the rest to Joker’s gang, and they attacked the District Nine transit hub to disrupt surveillance.
• Chen Mo disabled the scanners and entered the data center with the Joker Gang, where a black crystal appeared on the screen and said it had been waiting for him.

Chen Mo dismantled the Batman Who Laughs’s control network in Night City, defeated Lex Luthor and Doomsday, and left Joker to take over the city. He brought V to the Marvel Universe, then entered a hostile universe as a weakened clone and confronted Barry Allen.

• Chen Mo disconnected Night City’s 1.37 million identity chips, copied the data center’s servers, and escaped as the facility collapsed, while the Batman Who Laughs vanished.
• Joker’s Gang raided the All Foods Processing Plant, discovered that its nutrient paste came from human captives, and resolved to change the system after Chen Mo agreed to help.
• Chen Mo destroyed the forces surrounding the plant, defeated and consumed Doomsday, then killed Lex Luthor and consumed Nite Owl before returning to Joker and V.
• Chen Mo gave Joker’s Gang a Nite Owl clone to help seize Night City, then sent V through a passage to the Marvel Universe and told Joker to take control.
• V met Tony Stark and the Avengers at Stark Tower, while Chen Mo fused Blacklight with Tony’s custom armor before leaving to hunt the Batman Who Laughs.
• Unable to enter the hostile universe directly, Chen Mo weakened a Blacklight Clone until it passed the barrier and crashed into a city street.
• The clone, still called Chen Mo, tried to scan the planet and altered his body to create biological sonar ears before Barry arrived and questioned him about the wreckage.
• Chen Mo fought Barry, adapted to track his speed, generated red lightning, and grabbed him by the neck.

Chen Mo entered Barry's world, uncovered the Batman Who Laughs's plan to spread Doomsday transformations, and fought The Devastator while a living canopy shielded Earth. The crisis ended with the Kryptonians defeated, the heroes gathered in Metropolis, and a black fighter jet arriving overhead.

• Chen Mo subdued Barry, learned that Batman and Superman were not yet established heroes, and used Barry's knowledge to track strange events before General Zod announced his arrival.
• Chen Mo and Barry found Clark in a church, where Clark chose to surrender to humanity, but the Foundation's attempt to harvest his Kryptonian genes awakened Doomsday.
• Chen Mo killed Doomsday and discovered that the Batman Who Laughs had distributed 376.4 million doses of a serum carrying Doomsday's genetic seeds, triggering worldwide transformations.
• As Doomsdays overwhelmed Earth, Chen Mo spread a Blacklight Virus canopy around the planet, which killed more than forty thousand monsters while Faora attacked Clark in Metropolis.
• Chen Mo boarded Zod's ship and fought The Devastator, a Batman variant infected with the Doomsday Virus, first in space and then inside the sun.
• Chen Mo destroyed The Devastator, while the living canopy blocked Zod's forces from reaching Earth and forced them to flee the star system.
• After the canopy receded, Clark stood among the unconscious Kryptonians with Diana, Hal Jordan, and Barry, while Chen Mo challenged Clark's plan to give them a fair trial.
• A black fighter jet emerged from the clouds and hovered above Chen Mo and the gathered heroes.
