After feeding them a load of nonsense, Rimuru successfully made contact with STORAGE. Of course, the most important thing was that Mr. Osu had heard it.
Listening from the side, Juggler felt a headache coming on. This was another one who had come seeking help because of artificial intelligence. He had already met Asakura Riku earlier, and that one had also come here because of artificial intelligence. Apparently, artificial intelligence had it in for him today.
"So, do you have any way to catch Gillvalis?" Rimuru took the opportunity to get the plot moving.
"We just received a report that monocrystalline silicon was stolen. Although that monster looks like a robot, it's a super artificial intelligence. The spherical part is its core. Its integrated circuits may have been damaged, so it has set its sights on silicon."
"In that case, we just need to spread false information about silicon online and lure him into a trap."
Yaohui listened from the side with a miserable look on his face, completely lacking his usual energy.
Yoko Nakashima, on the other hand, perked up. "If we can defeat him, STORAGE's stock price will rise with the tide. Doubling our budget won't be a dream."
At last, Juggler gave the order, and everyone put their hands in. Rimuru silently put his hand in too, drawing everyone's gaze.
"I'm going too. If you blow him up, I'll be in trouble. Also, I don't want to stay with her." He silently pointed at Yuka Ohta. Everyone looked at Yuka Ohta, then finally agreed. They had no choice but to agree. They were afraid too: by the time they got back, Rimuru might need to be put back together.
Juggler shouted and even gave the operation a name: "Operation Deceive the Artificial Intelligence and Take It Down in One Go."
Yaohui complained that the name the captain had come up with was too long.
Once everything was ready, Rimuru followed Yaohui to the ambush site. Yuka Ohta began spreading the information, and before long, Gillvalis's core flew in. As soon as it entered, Rimuru felt a chill in his heart. Why does this thing look three or four meters across? It didn't look this big in the show!
Juggler actually ordered Yaohui to catch him. Rimuru had no idea what he was thinking.
While Rimuru was still in a daze, Asakura Riku charged in with a steel pipe. A mighty warrior indeed.
Rimuru didn't care anymore. He hurled a Black Flame Lightning at Gillvalis.
"Yaohui, don't just stand there watching! Hit him!"
Mr. Osu's blood immediately heated up. With a shout, he charged in and unleashed a fierce flurry of attacks, dealing damage no better than scraping therapy.
Gillvalis realized he'd been tricked and turned to flee, only to fly straight into the arms of Windom, piloted by Yoko. Yoko gave her a loving hug.
Seeing that he couldn't escape, Gillvalis changed straight back into his black dragon form.
Rimuru looked at Gillvalis and burst out laughing. What kind of artificial intelligence is this? With that size and weight, what could my little body do if I charged in? I wouldn't even have the strength for scraping therapy. Forget it. I'll wait until those two have nearly beaten him, then go in and finish him off at low health.
Yoko really is brave. She actually dared to take on Gillvalis alone, and she's even holding her own. Could this thing be all show?
The ground shook. Those two Ultramen had finally arrived. Zet-ta!
Ultraman Geed, in Galaxy Rising form, descended from the sky amid a cloud of dust.
Ultraman Z appeared in Alpha Edge form. Unlike Geed's dashing entrance, Zett ran straight over to Geed and started chatting after transforming.
Rimuru was dumbfounded by what the two giants were doing. Yoko was almost being beaten to death by Gillvalis over there, and those two were still discussing seniority.
In the end, Geed was the sensible one. Seeing that Yoko couldn't hold on much longer, he hurried over to help.
The two Ultra Warriors stood shoulder to shoulder, facing the roaring mechanical black dragon as the battle instantly escalated.
At the edge of the battlefield, Rimuru crouched behind a chunk of concrete wreckage and cautiously poked his head out to watch.
"The difference in size is huge."
He muttered under his breath, looking at his slender arms. That Black Flame Lightning just now had only left a small scorch mark on Gillvalis's shell. It felt about as effective as using a lighter to roast a tank.
Still, I have to say, watching Ultramen fight a monster in person feels great. Especially Geed's Galaxy Rising form. The way it blends the mecha aesthetic with Ultraman's style is really good.
But why does it feel like scraping therapy? They've been fighting all this time, but it looks like they haven't dealt any damage at all. Is it because this is Zett's show?
Oh, Zett switched forms! Damn, Beta Smash looks so muscular. Those pecs, those abs!
Elsewhere, Yuka Ohta, the strongest brain in STORAGE, began to make her move.
"I'll send him a Millennium Prize Problem. An artificial intelligence probably won't be able to stop itself from desperately trying to solve it. During that time, his attack power, defense, and other functions should all temporarily decline."
To put it bluntly, she was forcibly diverting some of Gillvalis's computing power to make him lag.
Yoko really was brave. She swung her arm up and charged. Gillvalis neither dodged nor fought back, just stood there stiffly. All Rimuru could say was that this was a plot kill.
In the center of the battlefield, Gillvalis's electronic eyes flickered wildly. Clearly, between solving the problem and taking a beating, his CPU was nearly overloaded.
Seeing that the trick had worked on Gillvalis, Geed and Zett hesitated no longer, intending to finish it off in one go.
Rimuru also felt the time had come. If he didn't act now, Gillvalis really would be killed. He used Mimicry to create wings and hurriedly flew over.
"Wait, wait! Don't actually blow Gillvalis up. I still have a use for this thing."
Zett naturally knew where Rimuru came from, but Geed didn't. After Yaohui briefly explained things to Geed, Geed said he understood.
Now that they had agreed, Rimuru breathed a sigh of relief. He became even more convinced that Tartarus was crazy. Your Cascade Spark Tower is malfunctioning. If you'd just asked the Land of Light for help, its Ultramen are all practically saints. Would they really refuse to help? Instead, you had to go over there and pick a fight. Isn't that fucking insane?
On the battlefield, Geed struck first. He raised his hand and fired a Galaxy Blaster, stunning Gillvalis. Zett also began charging up, then drove a Z Flame Lance straight into Gillvalis.
This time, however, Geed didn't strike a pose after using his skill. Instead, as the black dragon exploded, he reached in and pried out the core, placing it in front of Rimuru.
Rimuru looked at Gillvalis's core, his heart pounding and his hands trembling with excitement. Although it looked rather battered, it should still be usable after some repairs. This really was a win while lying down.
Right in front of the two Ultramen, he gobbled the core into his stomach. The sight gave both of them and the people from STORAGE a fright. A little person just over a meter tall had eaten a core three or four meters across. Even in a horror movie, that scene would have been childhood-trauma material.
After the battle, Hui and Asakura Riku were discussing Belial's cells when Rimuru quietly moved closer. The two were somewhat flustered by Rimuru's sudden appearance. Did he hear what we were just talking about?
"You two don't have to pretend. I've known you were Ultramen all along."
Their eyes widened as soon as they heard that. Damn, that direct?
"Well, thank you both very much for helping me take care of Gillvalis. I don't have anything else to help you with, so I'll give you a few recovery potions. They can help you recover quickly if you're injured in battle."
As Rimuru spoke, he tossed them a few recovery potions.
The two looked curiously at the strange medicine in their hands. "Can this recovery potion really heal injuries quickly?" Haruki asked Rimuru, shaking the bottle in his hand.
"Of course it can, especially for Asakura Riku. I'm sure you'll be using it soon." Rimuru knew the story to come. Riku was about to be captured and have his blood drawn, so Rimuru had given him two potions to help him recover. After all, he had helped Rimuru too. Though Rimuru didn't know how effective they would be on an Ultraman, it was the thought that counted.
"Now that everything's settled, I'm going back. See you again if we get the chance."
Yaohui said, "Ah, you're leaving so soon? Won't you stay a few more days?"
"I'd like to, but your world seems a little dangerous, especially your teammate Yuka Ohta."
Yaohui shook his head awkwardly. "All right, then."
Rimuru ran to a place where nobody was around.
Finally done. I made a huge profit this time, no loss at all. I got a super artificial intelligence for free. This is practically a million-value extraction. (◍>◡<◍)
System, activate! Hurry up and send me back.
The system said, "Can you act normal? I think your brain might have gotten damaged when you transmigrated."
Space shattered, and a powerful force of attraction pulled Rimuru straight in.
