|---|---|---|
| Reincarnated slime | 1 | Receives Rimuru Tempest’s body from the system after dying in a truck accident. Initially possesses a tough body and basic Mimicry despite being introduced as a “Demon Lord.” |
| Sage → Great Sage | 1 2 | The system loads Sage and immediately evolves it into Great Sage. The accompanying surge of energy disrupts the future timeline observed by the Ancient One. |
| Lightning Resistance | 21 | Acquired while being electrocuted during the fight against Ivan Vanko. Lightning Immunity does not follow before the battle ends. |

| Lightning Attack Nullification | 190 | Activates Predator while receiving Thor’s lightning, evolving Lightning Resistance into complete resistance to lightning-attribute attacks. |
| Demon Lord / Demonic Slime Spiritual Lifeform | 189 190 191 | Completes a seven-day evolution using accumulated dimensional power, AllSpark energy, Asgardian runes, divine artifacts, twenty-percent authority, and a requirement of twenty thousand souls; authority supplies the soul shortfall. His body and numerous skills evolve together. |
| Recognized Asgardian deity | 194 | Odin formally appoints him God of Wandering and Play among All Things. This is a divine appointment rather than a separately documented cultivation breakthrough. |
| Lord of Storms and Lord of Vows acquired | 195 | Obtains Lord of Storms and gains Lord of Vows by analyzing Infinite Prison. He counts five ultimate abilities among his assets at this point. |
Appearance
- Slime form: Initially a blue, jelly-like creature. One transformation depicts a transparent body with eyes but no face or limbs; after Pepper’s shopping trip, his resting slime form is described as pure white 3 24 40.
- Early human form: Small and childlike, with an Asian face, blue hair, golden eyes, fair skin, and delicate features. His golden eyes are also described as slit-pupilled 6 40 82.
- Growth: His mimicked appearance remains unchanged over the two years noticed by Peter Parker; Rimuru does not have a human growth cycle 91.
- After evolution: Becomes noticeably taller and resembles a handsome young man in his late teens or early twenties 191 192 196.
- Clothing: Can alter his appearance through Mimicry and normally prioritizes comfort. Pepper nevertheless dresses him in a floral dress and hair clip despite his objections 40.
Personality
Rimuru is easygoing, pleasure-seeking, and openly fond of comfortable living. He enjoys desserts, naps, hot pot, attractive company, and watching other people’s dramatic disputes. Hydra’s assessment identifies him as relaxed, somewhat lazy, and initially without hostility toward ordinary humans or Earth’s civilization 40 49 88 160 183.
His mischievousness frequently shapes his friendships. When Tony mocks him and involves S.H.I.E.L.D., Rimuru recruits Wanda and Pietro for revenge through embarrassing armor modifications and laboratory pranks. He accepts Wanda’s condition that nobody be hurt and no serious damage be caused 82 85.
He is notably gentle toward Wanda and Pietro, offering them a home without confinement or compulsory experimentation. He reassures Wanda after magical accidents rather than blaming her, even when he cannot solve the underlying problem 64 65.
His caution persists despite his growing strength. Before evolving, he stations Terminators around a sanctuary already sealed by Odinforce. He also refuses to offer the military his highest Terminator models, citing both their potential misuse and his own moral objections 189 204.
That protectiveness becomes extreme when he learns of Skrull infiltration. Fear that his friends could be replaced develops into a demand to exterminate the Skrulls on Earth. He acknowledges Fury’s comparison to a notorious historical dictator but insists that preventing the predicted catastrophe takes precedence over his reputation 209 213.
History
Transmigration and Kamar-Taj
Rimuru dies in a truck accident and is sent by a system into the Marvel universe in a slime body. Great Sage’s activation causes an abnormal energy surge and throws the future timeline into chaos. The Ancient One investigates, learns his origins, and allows him to remain at Kamar-Taj as an apprentice under Mordo’s initial guidance 1 2 3.
After leaving Kamar-Taj in 2008, he becomes involved in Tony Stark and Yinsen’s escape from captivity and returns with them to New York. He later reveals his slime body, magic, and otherworldly origins to Tony, proposing to invest his technology in Stark Industries. Tony arranges a plausible identity for him through a sponsored young-genius program 4 5 6 7.
Otherworldly Technology and Cybertron
Rimuru takes control of the severely damaged Gillvalis and enters Virtual Planet Kuscia, discovering dormant Galactrons and Vallis Knights. His absence lasts nearly four and a half days in Tony’s world, prompting searches by Tony, Pepper, and Nick Fury 16.
In the Transformers universe, he revives Jetfire and Sentinel Prime, brings the Autobots and Decepticons together against The Fallen, and deploys Galactrons when human leaders attempt to impose unequal restrictions. He contains Cybertron within Virtual Planet Kuscia near Earth, protects against gravitational damage, suppresses Unicron’s energy, and has Gillvalis capture Quintessa 28.
His travels also take him to the devastated Terminator world. Technologies gathered across worlds become foundations for his armor, robotic forces, and later Transformer upgrades 36 79 107 115.
Earth Allies and Magical Development
After Rimuru’s confrontation with Abomination, Hydra decides that direct force is too dangerous and instead prepares surveillance, manipulation of General Ross, and a contingency to pressure Rimuru into leaving Earth. Rimuru also exposes Hydra’s infiltration through remarks that connect the organization’s suspicious history 49 54.
He takes in Wanda and Pietro, protecting them while seeking a solution to Wanda’s uncontrolled Chaos Magic. Their discovery that he is Tony’s close friend strains their trust, although Rimuru explains Obadiah’s role in reselling the weapons responsible for their suffering 64 65.
During Thor’s exile, Rimuru explains Odin’s intended lesson and warns of Loki’s deception. Fighting the Destroyer exposes the shortcomings of relying on technological armor against divine laws. He responds by developing his own magical foundations, analyzing Asgardian runes, and assimilating power borrowed from dimension lords 70 72 75 79 80.
Research and Industry
Rimuru confronts Aldrich Killian at his hidden laboratory to seize Extremis research and stock solution. He later works with Doctor Q and Gillvalis on individualized Transformer upgrades, combining nanotechnology, self-repair, magic resistance, and specialized weapons rather than applying a uniform design 99 107 108.
After helping Eddie Brock expose the Life Foundation, Rimuru sends evidence to Fury and distinguishes his intended research on the murderous Riot from Drake’s experiments on innocent humans. His subsequent Riot-based research produces an advanced regenerative liquid metal intended to repair Metroplex’s damaged Transformation Cog 137 152.
For his electric-vehicle business, he hires Anne Weying to build a dedicated legal team and negotiate an industry framework. He publicly presents the vehicles at the Stark Expo 149 151.
Battle of New York and Asgard
Rimuru arranges for both Autobot and Decepticon support before the Battle of New York. When Chitauri leviathan warships threaten his factory, he destroys them with combined Black Flame Lightning and Kamar-Taj magic, alarming the World Security Council 156 171.
Afterward, he visits Asgard, secures Odin’s approval for access to its treasury and dwarven forging services, and promises to protect its people during future disaster. He commissions Uru equipment tailored to Pietro, then completes his Demon Lord evolution in a protected realm 183 186 187 189 190.
Odin formally recognizes him as an Asgardian god. Before returning to Earth, Rimuru frees Veldora through a clone vessel and arranges for the Storm Dragon to remain in Asgard as additional protection against its anticipated enemies 194 195 196.
Skrull Infiltration and Global Purge
Learning that Skrulls have infiltrated Earth for twenty years, Rimuru demands that Fury assemble the decision-makers responsible for their future. He warns of institutional infiltration, manufactured civil war, and Super-Skrulls created using Avengers’ genes 209 213.
Carol challenges him to a duel: her victory would end the purge and allow her to relocate the Skrulls, while his would secure her cooperation. Rimuru uses the fight to test his evolved offensive and defensive abilities, but Carol’s faster-than-light movement exposes a speed his senses cannot reliably track 226 227 228 229.
During the subsequent global operation, Rimuru deploys Terminators and his Mimicry system to secretly replace more than a thousand Skrull elites. Most substitutions succeed, although behavioral discrepancies generate rumors about clones and require Fury’s intervention 235.
Abilities & Skills
Slime Physiology and Mimicry
- Changes freely between slime and human appearances and can adjust his mimicked form 7 40.
- Possesses a stomach space used to store equipment and, before his release, Veldora 186 192 195.
- After evolution, can alternate between a tangible body and an incorporeal spiritual form, escaping the limitations of a fixed physical body 190.
- Infinite Regeneration: Replaces Ultraspeed Regeneration. His body can persist while his energy and spirit remain 190.
Great Sage / Lord of Wisdom
- Great Sage: Performs high-speed analysis, including examination of Uru, Asgardian runes, and the Destroyer’s Odinforce-derived self-healing 79.
- Lord of Wisdom: Forms when Great Sage and Degenerate integrate during his Demon Lord evolution, providing analysis, deduction, creation, alteration, optimization, and prediction 190.
- Limit: Universal Analysis cannot unravel Wanda’s Chaos Magic; neither Magicule Assimilation nor attempted devouring resolves it 65 67.
Devouring and Mystical Authority
- Devours incoming gunfire and uses Predator while undergoing Thor’s lightning tempering 36 190.
- Uses the twenty-percent authority attributed to Old Man Stan Lee to alter incoming dimensional power, remove its owners’ imprints, and sever contractual debts before assimilation 80 186.
- Lord of Gluttony: Appears among his ultimate skills after evolution 191.
- Developmental obstacle: His reliance on devouring and assimilating existing powers becomes a bottleneck in advancing to the next realm 131.
Perception
- Universal Sense: Detects conditions beyond ordinary sight, including Abomination’s survival after a major attack 49.
- Universal Perception: Evolves from Universal Sense and covers matter, spirits, space, illusions, and fragments of the future 190.
- Limit: Carol’s faster-than-light movement exceeds his ability to lock onto her during their duel; he cannot reproduce that flight speed himself at that point 229.
Spatial and Dimensional Magic
- Learns Kamar-Taj magic and uses portals for travel 3 4.
- Develops spatial cutting, dimensional sealing, and cross-space locking after unlocking twenty-percent access 79.
- Reaches the threshold of multiversal dimensional observation and minor reality distortion through authority-enhanced study and virtual simulation 79.
- Mirror Dimension: Integrates Mirror Magic, Spatial Manipulation, and Virtual World, allowing independent dimensional domains, exchanges between reality and illusion, and nested worlds 190.
Black Flame Lightning / Thunder Sovereign
- Black Flame Lightning: Combines black flames and lightning in destructive ranged attacks; later refinement adds a spell-breaking effect capable of disrupting a simulated Destroyer’s self-healing barrier 79 142.
- Combines it with Kamar-Taj magic to destroy Chitauri leviathan warships in a single attack 171.
- Thunder Sovereign: Evolves from Black Flame Lightning, Lightning Immunity, and Bolts of Balthakk, granting command over lightning 190.
- With holy-armor enhancement, strikes Binary Carol hard enough to blast her into a crater 227.
Defensive Magic and Resistances
- Vishanti Ring-Domain Holy Armor: Integrates Rings of Raggadorr, Sword of Vishanti, and Body Armor; combines offense, a carried barrier, magic immunity, and Asgard resistance 190.
- Seraphim Ring-Realm Sanctuary: Creates a seamless protective barrier tested against Carol’s Binary assault 228.
- Lightning Attack Nullification: Completely resists lightning-attribute attacks after Thor’s tempering 190.
- Gains Mental Attack Resistance and Holy Magic Attack Resistance during evolution 190.
- Demonstrated durability: Trades direct blows evenly with Binary Carol, although a later high-speed strike considerably dims the holy armor’s magical patterns 228 229.
Clones, Threads, and Restraints
- Form of All Things: Integrates Clone and Images of Ikonn; produces numerous shape-changing clones with the original’s combat power 190.
- Uses a stable clone as the vessel for Veldora’s released soul 195.
- Omnipotent Thread: Evolves from Sticky Steel Thread and can harden, soften, attack, restrain, or form varied structures 190.
- Uses scarlet chains to bind Slash; Cyttorak’s Scarlet Myriad Binding Chains later appears on his skill panel 120 191.
Other Evolved Powers
- Watoomb’s Sonic Howling Wind Breath: Combines Winds of Watoomb, Paralysis Breath, and Ultrasound into a wide-area attack with wind blades and an invisible paralyzing effect. Briefly weakens Carol’s Binary energy before she disperses it 190 228.
- Law of Ash and Fire’s Shared Origin: Evolves from Flame Attack Nullification and the Eternal Flame; listed as an ultimate skill 190 191.
- Demon Lord’s Haki: Exerts pressure strong enough to force Carol to one knee before she breaks free 227.
- Lord of Storms / Lord of Vows: Acquired by the time Veldora is released; the latter follows analysis of Infinite Prison 195.
- Additional recorded skills: Mind Controller and Ruins of Eternal Extreme Cold Sealing 191.
Engineering and Biological Research
- Combines Transformer construction, Galactron energy technology, and Kamar-Taj enchantments in his armor 79.
- Designs individualized Transformer upgrades with Doctor Q and Gillvalis, addressing defense, mobility, self-repair, magical interference, and specialized combat roles 107 108 121.
- Develops Riot-derived liquid metal by removing vulnerability to fire and sound, eliminating violent parasitic traits, and preserving regeneration and reshaping 152.
- Recognizes compatibility limits: rejects T-1000 liquid metal for Megatron because extreme temperatures can disable its structure 126.
