Sigh...
The Ancient One had kicked him out again. This time, the reason was that she thought the spicy hot pot smelled too strong. It was utterly baffling. So many people had eaten it, so why had she kicked him out alone?
Wasn't this bullying an honest person?
After squatting outside Kamar-Taj and pondering for a while, Rimuru understood.
The Ancient One was petty. It had to be because he hadn't invited her. Though, fair enough: he was on her turf, and it was rather unreasonable not to invite her. He could just invite her next time.
He opened a portal and returned to the Helicarrier by instinct. Looking at the white clouds around him, he clicked his tongue.
"What's wrong with Black Nick Fury? How long has it been since he borrowed those 2,000 T-1000s? Does he really not want the Helicarrier back?"
Wait, why do I feel like I got the short end of the deal? Those 2,000 terminators are carrying out missions under him. That makes them high-quality assets with sustainable growth, doesn't it? They're all coming back to me in the end anyway, so every mission he completes with them is a profit.
And the Helicarrier? At best, it's a fixed asset. Not only does it bring in no revenue, I have to pay to maintain it. I hear S.H.I.E.L.D. has built a few more recently, too. It's definitely a low-quality asset that's constantly losing value.
If I really wanted a big flying villa, Cybertron has them. Not only are they free, they're more advanced than this one. This thing can only float around Earth, while those can go out and play in space.
Fuck, I got ripped off!
What was I thinking, trading for this thing?
*Next time I go to S.H.I.E.L.D., I have to
