Shayera followed Bruce's gaze, then turned to look at Bruce again.
"I don't know." She shook her head.
The gears in Bruce's brain were meshing wildly. This woman had disappeared for two years and brought back a man with absolutely no energy fluctuations.
It's either some kind of extremely sophisticated disguise, or it's a being from a higher dimension.
He leaned more towards the latter; facing a monster capable of tearing Superman apart with its bare hands, the man didn't even adopt a defensive stance, and was even observing the surrounding architectural structure with great interest.
"He's strong, isn't he?" Bruce took a step closer, his presence intimidating. "At least stronger than you."
Shayera nodded. "He could crush me without lifting a finger."
Bruce paused.
"He came here because there is a being in our universe stronger than him," Shayera added.
"Who?" Bruce pressed immediately, "What does he look like?"
"A very handsome man," Shayera recalled the man she had seen earlier, "I think his name was Lucifer."
Bruce fell silent.
Lucifer, a fallen angel in mythology.
Bruce's mind quickly retrieved information about mysticism and mythology from the Justice League's database.
He was used to putting all uncontrollable factors into a cage, but now, the cage is broken.
If a creature of this caliber truly exists, and attracts an outsider whom even Hawkgirl believes she would be instantly killed, then the crisis facing the League will completely spiral out of control.
He glanced at Shayera, the woman who had betrayed the League and now brought back a monster of unknown origin.
He anticipated countless possibilities of alien invasion and even prepared deadly countermeasures against every member of the Justice League, but he failed to foresee the arrival of mythical creatures.
On the other side of the ruins.
Clark and Diana launched another attack.
Superman's eyes burst forth with a blinding red light, his Heat Vision cutting through the air, bringing with it a distorting, high-temperature sensation that hurtled towards the combined entity's head.
Diana brandished the Sword of Hephaestus, charging in from the flank, her Lasso of Truth leaving a golden afterimage in the air as she attempted to sever the hybrid's mechanical tentacles.
The red and blue afterimages collided with the golden energy shield.
Bang!
A tremendous reaction force erupted instantly.
The two flew back at an even faster speed than when they charged, smashing through three layers of thick alloy walls before falling completely still.
boom!
A huge metal plate was suddenly ripped open.
J'onn emerged from the ruins, his body in a semi-transparent, ethereal state. Using the Mars- specific phase shift ability, he directly penetrated the energy field surrounding the combined entity.
He wanted to target its core data area and destroy the monster's control center from within.
This was the only chance he could calculate, and he attempted to unleash his Telepathy to forcibly invade Lex Luthor's mind.
The golden armor surface of the composite suddenly erupted with high-frequency anti-phase Shockwave.
J'onn's ethereal state was instantly shattered, and he was forcibly forced back into physical form.
The immense computing power surged back into his brain like a tsunami, and the Martian Manhunter let out a piercing scream.
"Ughhhhhh!"
A huge metal hand gripped his neck like an iron clamp and slammed him to the ground.
Green blood splattered everywhere, and J'onn let out a painful groan.
The combined entity raised its foot and stomped heavily on J'onn's chest. The sound of bones breaking was particularly jarring in the empty battlefield.
"Foolish Mars." The hybrid looked down at J'onn, its synthesized voice filled with undisguised mockery.
"Your Telepathy is nothing but a primitive man's stick in the face of absolute computing power. I've already deciphered your genetic code; your pathetic shapeshifting ability is meaningless to me."
He was perfectly capable of snapping J'onn's neck in a second, or burning everyone here to ashes with a laser.
But he refused.
The thrill of crushing the gods and trampling the high and Justice League underfoot is wildly stimulating the remnants of humanity in Lex Luthor.
He wanted to slowly torment them, to make them realize their own insignificance in despair.
There can only be one god in the world, and that is Lex Luthor!
The composite turned its head.
They noticed Thor standing in the distance.
This ordinary person in plain clothes hadn't run away yet.
The blue metallic head tilted slightly and casually raised its left arm.
A thick golden laser beam shot out.
The energy level of this laser beam easily pierced through Green Lantern's defenses, and even Diana's demigod body couldn't withstand it.
Thor stood still.
The Law of Space formed an absolute barrier on the body's surface that was invisible to the naked eye.
The golden laser slammed squarely into his chest.
boom!
A blinding light burst forth, and the intense heat instantly melted the alloy floor beneath Thor's feet into molten iron.
The light faded.
Thor yawned and dusted off his clothes.
The composite entity was stunned.
On the blue metallic face, the flashing data stream paused briefly.
The computing cores were working frantically, trying to analyze the scene before them.
The conclusions drawn were all garbled text.
There is no energy shield.
There is no magic resistance.
There is no indication of any gene mutation.
We'll just tough it out.
This violates all the laws of physics and the law of conservation of energy.
impossible!
The composite entity raised its hands.
A dazzling golden light simultaneously shone from the tips of all ten fingers.
Ten high-frequency lasers intertwined to form a web of destruction, instantly enveloping Thor.
Immediately afterwards, the armor on its back flipped up, unleashing a torrent of high-explosive micro-missiles, antimatter Oblivion rays, and high-frequency cutting blades.
The entire battlefield was completely engulfed in flames from the explosion.
The deafening roar lasted for a full half minute, and the violent shockwave completely leveled the surrounding ruins.
Antimatter Oblivion rays even disintegrate the atomic structure in the air, creating an absolute vacuum.
Bruce stared intently at the epicenter of the explosion.
When the smoke and dust cleared...
Thor remained standing there.
He even changed his stance, putting one hand in his pocket and idly picking at his ear with the other.
"That's it?" Thor curled his lip.
He looked at the Justice League members groaning in pain on the ground.
I couldn't help but complain in my mind.
According to the animated storyline he had watched, the highlight of this episode should have been Wally's triumph.
The Flash used the Speed Force to sprint and create Shockwave powerful enough to distort reality, forcibly separating Lex Luthor and Brainiac, thus achieving a desperate counterattack.
But what happens in reality?
Wally had only taken two steps when his leg was broken, and he's now lying in a pile of scrap metal, his fate unknown.
Superman was knocked down by Kryptonite, Wonder Woman was tied up like a dumpling, Green Lantern had a hole in his abdomen, and Martian Manhunter was trampled underfoot.
This is what real combat is like.
There weren't that many miracles or thrilling comebacks.
If you're not strong enough, you'll just get humiliated.
The villain won't suddenly become stupid at crucial moments, nor will they give you time to unleash your full power.
This combination certainly has the capital to back it up.
The output of this armor alone has already reached the threshold of Universe Level.
Looking at the entire DC Universe, it's quite a large grasshopper.
The combined entity was utterly enraged.
Lex Luthor's arrogance clashed violently with Brainiac's absolute rationality.
The golden tentacles on the back of the armor danced wildly, like a swarm of enraged venomous snakes.
"What the hell are you?!"
The combined entity roared, its combined commotion laced with Lex Luthor's characteristic hysteria.
"My computing core can't possibly malfunction! You're clearly just a worthless carbon-based life form! How could you possibly withstand my attack?!"
His energy indicator lights were on at full power, the blinding light almost piercing one's eyes.
The surrounding debris was suspended by the immense gravitational field, spinning rapidly around the composite structure, creating a metallic storm.
He prepared to use the last bit of divine power within his core to completely eliminate this variable before him.
Thor picked at his ear.
What are you saying in your gibberish?
He raised his right hand.
Spread your five fingers.
The Law of Destruction and the Law of Space intertwined in his hands.
There are no complicated incantations.
There was no flashy build-up.
Thor casually snapped a photo at the combined entity from a distance.
Snap!
A very slight, crisp sound.
The space around the combined entity collapsed instantly.
Along with that indestructible golden armor, Brainiac's computing core, Lex Luthor's arrogant consciousness, and the nascent metal storm.
In an instant, it was compressed into a singularity invisible to the naked eye.
Then it was completely Oblivion.
Not a single crumb was left.
The entire battlefield fell into absolute silence.
Only a few broken cables were still sparking and crackling.
Bruce stood frozen in place.
The tactical sandbox in his mind collapsed instantly.
He calculated a thousand ways to defeat the combined entity, each of which would require paying an extremely heavy price.
But he never expected that someone would so easily wipe out this threat, which was capable of destroying the earth, with a single slap.
Clark struggled to sit up halfway, staring blankly at the empty ruins.
His proud, steel-like body was utterly vulnerable before this monster.
Now, that monster is gone.
The Sword of Hephaestus Vulcan fell to the ground with a clatter from Diana's hand.
She admires force and reveres the strong.
But what was happening before her eyes had exceeded her understanding of "strength".
That was a crushing defeat, like a god descending to earth.
Shayera swallowed.
Although she knew Thor was very strong, witnessing such an incomprehensible, instantaneous defeat still left her mind blank.
A monster who treated the entire Justice League like dogs.
It was wiped out with a slap.
Thor turned around and looked at Bruce.
"That's it?" Thor raised an eyebrow. "Your local villains aren't very good either."
Bruce dropped the polymer medical spray he was holding onto the ground.
He stared intently at Thor, his Adam's apple bobbing.
Who exactly are you?
