"Why is she attacking us?!" Barry screamed, practically pressed against the porthole, watching the female warrior dancing wildly in the storm outside.
Thor glanced at Kara, who was still unconscious, and said in a tone as calm as if he were discussing the weather, "Obviously, they're here to take hostages."
"A hostage?" Barry paused, then his mind finally clicked. "You mean... Zod? To deal with General Zod's invasion, Themyscira needs a Kryptonian as a bargaining chip?"
Before he finished speaking, the Vulcan's Sword of Hephaestus, shimmering with an aura of holiness and destruction, had already brought down with immense force!
This time, Thomas Wayne didn't even bother to say a word.
He simply raised his hand, and the Yellow Lantern Ring emitted a blinding light.
A massive bat shield, constructed from pure fear energy, appeared out of thin air and precisely blocked the sword's edge.
"Clang--!"
The collision of metal and energy produced a deafening roar, and the entire cabin buzzed.
The next second, Thomas violently ripped open the hatch that had just closed, his entire body enveloped in a ball of yellow, terrifying energy, and he shot out as a streak of light, heading straight for Diana in the air.
Two figures instantly clashed in the raging storm, the sounds of energy exploding and metal clashing filling the air.
Inside the cabin, as the hatch closed automatically again, a temporary silence returned.
Thor looked out the window at the battle, and suddenly sighed, lost in thought.
"What's wrong?" Tetiyu's curiosity was piqued again, and she leaned closer to ask.
"Nothing, just a bit sentimental." Thor leaned back on the sofa, crossing his legs. "Your universe... while it's a bit dark, the public's acceptance and recognition of superheroes is ridiculously high."
He pointed in Barry's direction with his finger. "Build him a museum, erect a statue of Superman. Even if those people in the government are always wary of the Justice League, they'll still obediently offer help in a world-ending event like this, instead of stabbing us in the back."
Thor's thoughts drifted back to the Marvel Universe.
"The place I used to live in certainly didn't offer such good treatment." He chuckled self-deprecatingly.
"The government is utterly useless; when in doubt, they resort to nuclear bombing. They're not thinking about how to solve problems, but rather how to eliminate the people trying to solve them as well."
"So if you want to be a superhero, you'd better come to DC."
"Although the world here restarts all the time and its worldview is incredibly dark, at least most people appreciate it when you do good deeds here."
"Your efforts will be respected, unlike in Marvel, where even the most witty and sarcastic Spider-Man- Man next door gets pelted with stones in the street."
Thor spread his hands. "In DC, as long as you don't make a fundamental mistake like Hawkgirl, you basically won't be condemned globally. Sometimes I even wonder, if Superman had grown up in Marvel, with his power, facing the malice of humanity and the scheming of governments every day, would he eventually evolve into a madman like Homelander?"
Tetiyu without interrupting, finding the outsider's perspective quite interesting.
Just then...
"Bang!"
A muffled thud interrupted Thor's musings.
A yellow energy rope suddenly pierced through from the outside, violently throwing a figure into the cabin.
Diana crashed heavily onto the metal floor, her armor dented in several places.
The Sword of Hephaestus in her hands were also removed and rolled aside with a clanging sound.
Immediately afterwards, Thomas Wayne reappeared in the doorway. The yellow light dissipated, and he remained silent, as if he had just gone out to throw away the trash.
Barry Allen's jaw nearly dropped.
" Thomas... this... this is Diana! A demigod! The strongest member of the Justice League besides Superman!" He stammered, pointing at Wonder Woman on the ground, "How... how did you finish her off so quickly?"
Diana, lying on the ground, let out a furious roar of defiance and struggled to get up.
Barry jolted awake, forgetting his shock, and rushed forward, quickly untying the neatly coiled gold rope from Diana's waist.
Lasso of Truth!
Without a word, he grabbed the lasso and tied the still-struggling Diana up tightly, making a knot even more complicated than a sailor's knot.
After doing all this, he finally breathed a sigh of relief, turned around and looked at Thor and Thomas, still looking shaken.
Thor looked at him calmly and said:
" Barry, why don't you guess why Batman, who has no superpowers, is able to be the brains and leader of the Justice League?"
He paused, glanced at the expressionless Thomas, then turned his gaze back to Barry, and said, word by word:
"Believe me, if Batman possessed any one of the superpowers of any of the six members of your Justice League, you would have no chance against him in a one-on-one fight."
"And you wouldn't want to see this."
