"Bollocks!"
Constantine's curses still echoed across the battlefield as he transformed into a blur of a yellow trench coat, stepping over a pile of Parademons ' corpses and heading straight for the center of that "family drama."
He shoved Red Hood Jason aside. "Get out of the way, kid! The adults have business to attend to!"
Jason stumbled as he was pushed, and just as he was about to yell back, he saw Constantine had already bound Batman with the Lasso of Truth.
Golden divine power surged into Constantine's body through the lasso, causing his entire body to radiate a violent burst of lightning.
"Make way! Make way!" Constantine pushed aside the members of the Bat Family one by one, took the center position, and then raised his fist.
"This punch is for Xiao Zha! It'll teach you to use her life as a backup plan!"
Bang!
The fist, imbued with the power of thunder, slammed solidly into Batman's mask, producing a dull thud.
"This punch is to tell you to stop wearing that Deadman face all the time, like the whole world owes you money!"
Bang! Another punch!
"This punch is to teach you a lesson, and to that Blue Boy Scout!"
"This punch is for the Earth!"
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
Constantine cursed as he unleashed a barrage of punches, each one landing squarely on the skin.
He beat the man with great gusto, unleashing all the pent-up frustration and anger he had accumulated over the past two years onto the man lying motionless on the ground.
The members of the Bat Family watched from the sidelines, and for a moment no one stepped forward to stop it.
"Uh... aren't we going a bit too far?" Barbara Gordon asked uncertainly, looking at the figure almost engulfed by Constantine's fists. "What if... what if we kill him?"
"It's nothing," Red Hood Jason Todd said, crossing his arms in an extremely submissive tone.
"It's good that he's dead. We can ask Thor to resurrect him later. If Thor isn't available, we'll drag him back to Gotham and throw him into the Lazarus Pit. Once he comes back to life, we can beat him up again, saving us a second trip."
Everyone, including Nightwing and Batwoman, turned their heads in unison, looking at Jason with a new kind of gaze, a mixture of fear and admiration.
It has to be you, Jason.
When it comes to filial piety, the entire Bat Family combined can't compare to you.
Just as Constantine was panting and preparing to deliver another powerful blow, a hand suddenly grabbed his wrist.
The hand, gloved with tactical gloves and stained with dirt and blood, gripped the object with unusual steadiness.
"Stop, Constantine."
Bruce Wayne's voice came from beneath the mask, no longer the cold divinity amplified by the Mobius Chair, but his own unique, deep voice that could wake any Gotham criminal in the middle of the night.
Constantine wanted to continue, but when he saw those familiar, deadly eyes peeking out from under the tattered mask, he reluctantly withdrew the Lasso of Truth.
"What? I'm giving you physical therapy." Constantine waved his hand, finding a way to back down. "You know, when you're under control, the virus in your brain needs to be killed with this traditional method."
Batman ignored his banter and didn't dwell on the beating he had just received.
He shakily stood up with the help of Dick and Jason.
He surveyed the battlefield and then issued the order in an unquestionable tone.
" Victor is still inside."
One sentence instantly brought the Bat Family members, who were just immersed in the euphoria of "beating up their father," back to reality.
" Cyborg?" Dick's expression immediately turned serious.
"I'll go save him." Batman stretched his still-aching neck, as if the beating he'd just taken a toll on him.
He took his grappling hook from Jason, said nothing more, and turned to walk deeper into the Apokolips fortress.
"Hey! Old man, are you sure you can manage on your own?" Jason called out from behind.
Batman didn't turn around; he simply raised one hand and waved.
The members of the Bat Family exchanged glances, immediately understanding, and followed without a word.
Constantine watched them leave, spat, cursed, lit another cigarette, and turned back to the fight to clear out the remaining soldiers.
The heroes are each fulfilling their duties, and the chaos on the battlefield seems to be gradually being cleared away.
Meanwhile, Wonder Woman Diana is locked in a fierce battle.
With each swing of her Sword of Hephaestus, she severed the head of a Parademons, but more Parademons and several enormous Doomsday surrounded her.
These monsters feel no pain, no fear; their sole purpose is destruction.
Diana was panting heavily, her armor soaked with sweat.
She had just dealt with a Doomsday that tried to ambush her from behind, smashing its head with her shield, but another Doomsday's heavy punch was already upon her.
She crossed her arms and used the Bracelets of Submission to withstand the blow.
Thump!
The immense force caused the ground beneath her feet to crack inch by inch, and she slid backward for more than ten meters.
Before she could even steady herself, the sky above her suddenly darkened.
A curved ray, shimmering with scarlet light, appeared out of nowhere, silent yet carrying an aura of Oblivion, shooting straight toward her head.
Omega Beams!
Diana's heart stopped abruptly.
She recognized this power; it was this very power that killed her and the Justice League.
Now, it's back again.
She tried to dodge, but her body was stiff from the heavy blow and she had no time to react.
It's over... Am I really going to die?
At this critical moment, a red and blue figure appeared in front of her without warning.
It's Kara.
She said nothing and made no unnecessary movements; she simply straightened her chest and used her own flesh and blood to block the crimson ray.
laugh--
The Omega Beams struck Kara squarely, producing a teeth-grinding burning sound.
The energy contained in the rays frantically eroded her body, instantly charring and vaporizing her skin, revealing the indestructible muscles and bones beneath.
But that's all.
The ray, powerful enough to obliterate a god, stirred up ripples of energy on Kara's chest, but could not advance any further.
Kara endured the impact of the ray, slowly raising her head. Her pair of dark eyes pierced through the distance of space, locking onto the source of the ray—the dark lord who had just descended upon the battlefield through the Boom Tube.
Darkseid.
Then, two blazing, solidified red beams of light shot out from Kara's eyes!
boom!
The Heat Vision collided violently with the Omega Beams in mid-air, triggering a massive explosion.
Immediately afterwards, Kara's Heat Vision swept back with unstoppable force, slamming into Darkseid's breastplate.
The newly arrived Dark Lord was thrown back several steps by the sudden force before regaining his balance.
He glanced down at the charred mark on his breastplate, and for the first time, a slight change appeared on his previously indifferent face.
He looked up at the woman floating in mid-air.
Kara, however, gave him absolutely no chance to observe or think.
After returning the Heat Vision, she said nothing, her body slightly lowered, and the air beneath her feet exploded with a loud bang. She transformed into a red and blue shooting star, hurtling straight toward Darkseid!
There were no pre-battle declarations, no angry roars, only the purest and most direct killing intent and actions.
Darkseid looked at the Kryptonian charging towards him, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes, before raising his massive fist.
Just then, a green light swept past Diana. Green Lantern Hal Jordan, while using his energy construct to smash several Doomsday away, also had time to whistle at the stunned Diana.
"She's way more reliable than Clark, isn't she?" Hal winked at her. "Anyway, I like her a lot."
Before the words were even finished, in the distance, Kara's fist, imbued with the power of a star, collided heavily with Darkseid's giant hand, which was capable of crushing a planet.
Thump--!!!
A visible shockwave exploded outwards from the two of them, crushing everything around them, whether it was Parademons or ruins, into dust.
