Just as Steve Rogers was about to curse the insane hunter, ripples suddenly appeared in the space beside them.
Immediately afterwards, a tall figure emerged from within, accompanied by five other people.
The leader, with long, flowing blond hair and clad in armor, was none other than Thor.
Behind him followed Angela, Valkyrie, Heimdall, and the Enchantress sisters.
The moment Steve saw Thor, he froze completely.
He even rubbed his eyes hard a few times in disbelief, as if what he was seeing was a hallucination.
Thor looked at his unshaven, weathered old teammate, strode forward, and grinned. " Steve, I knew you old man wouldn't die so easily."
However, he was not met with the expected hug or greeting.
"Damn it!" Steve Rogers managed to squeeze out a single word through gritted teeth, " Thor, you sour radish, don't eat it!"
The next second, he rushed forward and gave Thor a brutal bear hug, holding him tightly with such force that it seemed he wanted to break Thor's bones.
"Damn it, you're alive, that's amazing!" Steve's voice trembled almost imperceptibly.
"That little bastard Tony... was killed by Nick Fury's cotton machine! That damn Nick Fury!"
Thor's smile froze instantly, and he stood there stunned.
After a long while, he looked at Steve in disbelief, his voice hoarse:
"What... what did you just say?"
"Fuck! Thor, are you fucking senile?!"
Steve released him, his bloodshot eyes fixed on him, repeating each word slowly and deliberately, "I just fucking told you, welcome back, you bastard!"
Now, Thor was completely unsettled.
No? Is this still my original universe?!
The Captain America he remembered, Steve Rogers, was a moral paragon known throughout the universe, a man so upright he was almost rigid!
How the hell has he turned into a swear-prone bastard who looks exactly like that Soldier Boy?!
In an instant, Thor's terrifying mental power swept across the entire universe like an invisible tide.
He quickly confirmed two things: first, this was indeed the universe he had originally come from; second, the Steve Rogers before him had not been possessed or controlled by anyone.
He is simply himself.
Thor's expression turned extremely strange. He looked Steve up and down, hesitated for a long time, and then finally uttered a sentence:
" Steve, when did you... evolve into Captain Honey-Mouth?"
"It's all Nick Fury's fault for giving birth to babies without an anus!"
The mere mention of that name ignited Steve's fury. He pointed to the Arc Reactor on his chest and roared...
"Why did they have to ditch the perfectly good cotton machine and insist on creating some kind of 'teleportation protocol'?! Damn it! Tony died right in front of me! Not even a trace left!"
He took a deep breath and pointed to Peter Parker's Silk-Shooter on his wrist.
"And that damn Peter! If he hadn't kicked me away at the last minute, I'd be fucking dead in that spatial turbulence too!"
At this point, Steve's voice suddenly lowered, and a deep, unfathomable weariness appeared in his eyes.
"But... I wish I could have died with them! Then I wouldn't have to lead these kids around like a rat, constantly on the run!"
Thor followed his gaze and then glanced at the so-called "survivor squad".
Amadeus Zhao, the seventh smartest person on Earth, was being relentlessly beaten to the ground by a Young Thanos, and was being utterly powerless to fight back.
Three women ganged up on Thanos, but could only manage a draw. They were Luna Snow Seol Hee and Cyclone Lei Ling from Agents of Atlas, and a nine-tailed fox, White Fox.
On the other side, a blonde woman was beating up Black Skull with extremely despicable moves; it was Moonstone Kara Sofin, an ultimate traitor.
Finally, Kraven the Hunter had just praised Steve, was watching all of this with great interest, as if he were enjoying an interesting drama.
This lineup... is practically a ragtag bunch cobbled together.
Just then, Steve seemed to remember something. He looked at Thor, his voice tinged with guilt, "I'm sorry, Thor... I didn't protect Jane."
Thor then remembered that before his "death," his girlfriend was indeed Jane Foster.
It's a long-standing tradition in the Marvel Universe that being a superhero's girlfriend is always a high-risk profession.
He waved his hand dismissively and said, "It's alright, I'll revive them later."
Steve's guilt instantly turned into astonishment, and he frowned.
"Resurrected? Thor, do you even know what's going on? Those six Sparkly things, the Infinity Stones, are all with that crazy woman Hela! She just got into a fight with Doctor Doom who appeared out of nowhere! You want to snatch them from her?"
Thor casually remarked, "It's just resurrecting the people of a planet; it doesn't require the Infinity Stones."
"..."
Now it was Steve's turn to be completely dumbfounded.
His bloodshot eyes stared wide open like saucers, scrutinizing Thor from top to bottom and then from bottom to top several times, as if he were seeing him for the first time.
Finally, he took a deep breath and, in a complex tone mixed with shock, envy, and jealousy, uttered the curse:
" Thor, fucking bastard! Every time you disappear and come back, you're this strong! Fuck! Even cheating doesn't go this far!"
