Just as everyone was preparing for battle, the Classic Loki made a move.
He didn't look at the door that was about to turn to dust; he simply raised his left hand casually and waved it lightly at Lena in the corner behind him.
A pale golden magical aura spread out silently, like an inverted bowl, completely isolating Lena and the small space around her.
After doing all this, he slowly picked up the thermos in his hand, unscrewed the lid, and blew on the steam.
" Thor," he said, glancing at Thor beside him with a mischievous glint in his eyes, "Aren't you going to help? Clearing out those scumbags outside shouldn't be a problem for you, right?"
Thor glanced at him and said irritably, "You talk as if you're incompetent, but you're not much better."
"I'm nowhere near as good as you." Classic Loki took a sip of hot tea, shook his head sincerely, and turned his gaze to the increasingly clear, enormous black shadow outside the door.
"I can't handle that Zombie Hulk and Zombie Thanos; those two are too tough."
" Thor, just stop acting."
A cold, impatient voice interrupted the brothers' "politeness."
Strange, one hand on his forehead and the other maintaining the outline of the magical runes, stared at Thor with a livid expression.
Thor paused for a moment, then looked at Strange with a perfectly timed look of confusion. "When did you figure that out?"
"Are you taking me for an idiot?!" Strange felt his temples throbbing.
"From the moment you said you could solve the zombie virus, I knew you couldn't be that weak!"
I saw it all clearly when you fought that Zombie Bill Thunder God! You never dodged a blow! You were hit so many times with a hammer, yet you weren't hurt at all. Doesn't that prove something?!
Thor touched his nose and argued earnestly, "Is it possible that we Asgardians are just naturally stronger and more resilient?"
Strange was so angry he nearly crushed the magic rune in his hand. With a look that said, "If you keep pretending, I'll fight you to the death!" he said, "And another thing! If I remember correctly, you first met us using a portal, didn't you?"
Thor fell into deep thought.
Damn it, his acting skills have been exposed again.
He silently complained to himself that he really didn't have any talent for acting. Every time he tried to play dumb to fool others, he always got caught red-handed. Last time, when he impersonated Professor X in another universe, Madelyne and Erik also saw through him.
That won't do; how will we be able to play pranks happily in the future?
It seems that improving my acting skills needs to be put on the agenda.
But now...
Thor cleared his throat. Since he wasn't going to pretend anymore, he might as well lay half the cards on the table.
He grabbed Mjolnir's hammer from the side and raised it high.
Lightning crackled across the heavy, ancient metal hammer, illuminating the entire hall as bright as day.
"In the name of Thor," his voice grew loud and majestic, carrying an unquestionable divinity, "I bestow upon you the power of thunder!"
As soon as he finished speaking, streaks of colorful lightning bolts burst forth from the Stormbreaker, precisely darting into the bodies of every hero except for Classic Loki, Black Swan, and Tetiyu.
The original heroes from the universe present were all shaken.
Jessica Jones felt a warm yet violent force instantly flow through her limbs and bones, and her previously tired body was once again filled with explosive power.
Black Panther T'Challa's suit crackled with electricity, creating a strange resonance with Vibranium.
The longsword in the hands of the Magik Illyana hummed, and a layer of jumping arcs of electricity clung to its blade.
"Wow!" Spider-Man Peter Parker felt the surge of power coursing through his body and became incredibly excited. He clenched his fist, feeling like he could punch through a building. "I feel... I feel like I could fight the Hulk!"
"Boom--!!!"
No sooner had he finished speaking than a deafening roar completely engulfed everything!
The weathered circular gate of the Sanctum Sanctorum, along with the surrounding walls, was blasted open from the outside by an irresistible force!
Countless wood chips and stones shot inward, filling the air with smoke and dust.
A huge, rotting green figure was the first to rush in, its deformed muscles draped with tattered strips of cloth, its murky eyes filled only with pure savagery and hunger.
Zombie Hulk!
Immediately following, familiar yet unfamiliar figures poured in through the broken opening.
Zombie Mister Fantastic whose limbs can twist and stretch like rubber; Zombie Invisible Woman body constantly flickers between reality and illusion.
Zombie Captain America wielding a shield stained with dark red blood; Thanos, a zombie wearing a tattered Infinity Gauntlet Zombie Thanos, completely empty;
Zombie Iron Man with an eerie green glow emanating from his chest reactor; and Zombie She-Hulk with similarly rotting skin...
A Legion of super zombies, who once saved the world but now only want to devour it, crowded the entire hall.
The thick aura of death and the malevolent hunger almost froze the air.
However, Peter Parker, who had just received the power of thunder, showed no fear at this moment.
Black fluid instantly gushed from his body, covering his entire form and forming a ferocious yet agile Venom Suit, leaving only a pair of huge white eye sockets visible.
He took a few steps forward, past Thor, and stood at the very front of everyone, facing the terrifying army of zombies.
He turned to Thor and grinned, the excitement in his voice clearly audible even through the mask. "Honestly, this is incredibly rare! This is truly the first time I've ever said that..."
From the opposing zombie camp, Zombie Captain America wielding a tattered shield, slowly emerged. His face, half-rotted and facing Peter, was staring at Peter, his empty eye sockets gleaming with a bloodthirsty red light.
The next second, the two " Avengers," belonging to different factions, one alive and one dead, looked at each other under the gaze of countless heroes and zombies.
Then, simultaneously, they raised their arms and, with all their might, roared out that slogan that transcended life and death and the universe:
" Avengers, assemble!"
