Thor stood atop the tallest building in Frost City, overlooking the city that belonged entirely to him.
Or, to be more precise, this place has developed into a small country.
Whether in terms of population, ecology, economy, social structure, or military reserves, it has surpassed the vast majority of countries in the normal universe.
After all, this place brings together top talents from across the multiverse.
Just then, a gentle breeze swept by, Madelyne used her telekinesis to drag the disgruntled Galatea, landing lightly beside Thor.
Before Thor could even speak, Galatea launched her attack, glaring at Thor with displeasure, her tone icy. "How long are you going to leave that Kryptonite inside me?"
Thor then remembered that after he subdued the clone of Supergirl Kara in front of him, he had indeed casually stuffed a Kryptonite into her body to suppress her power.
He scratched his head, looking at the other person with a somewhat innocent expression.
"You've been living like this for the past two years... haven't you had anyone help you remove that stone?"
Galatea rolled her eyes again, as if she were looking at an idiot.
"To be precise, it's three years! Besides, I know your capabilities and your status in this city. Without your consent, would they dare to help me obtain it?"
"Fine," Thor shrugged, giving him a "I can't help it if you put it that way" look. "If you hadn't shown up, I would have almost forgotten you existed."
He had barely finished speaking when he casually waved his hand.
The next second, a small stone emitting a faint green light pierced through Galatea's body and floated into Thor's palm.
He weighed it in his hand as if it were a trivial trinket, then gently clenched his fist, and the Kryptonite, powerful enough to render any Kryptonian powerless, turned to dust and vanished into the air.
Completely freed from the suppression of Kryptonite, and illuminated by the light of the artificial star in Frost City, Galatea could clearly feel that familiar and powerful force rapidly returning to her limbs and bones.
She is a clone of Supergirl, possessing all of Kara's abilities, and due to rigorous military modifications, her fighting skills are even more ruthless and her attacks even more deadly.
Madelyne walked to Thor's side, observing Galatea with interest as her power returned, then turned to Thor and asked:
Have you figured out what to do with this poor person?
As she spoke, she completely ignored Galatea's fiery glare.
Thor thought to himself, "Only someone like Madelyne, who thrives on chaos, would dare call Galatea a 'poor thing' to her face."
He thought for a moment, then said in a half-joking tone:
"Or... why don't you go with Magneto and do some construction work? After all, Kryptonian have a natural advantage when it comes to civil engineering!"
"..."
Galatea's response was yet another eye roll that seemed to reach the heavens.
Thor then began to really examine the guy.
The other person was wearing a very ordinary white T-shirt and white shorts, and his neat short blond hair was fluttering slightly in the wind on the rooftop. His body was unconsciously floating in mid-air.
He stroked his chin and said, "Why do you seem a bit more human now, it's been a while?"
Galatea was truly enraged this time, and she almost gritted her teeth as she retorted:
"Aren't clones human too? And don't you know how hurtful your words are?"
"You're at most an alien clone, not human," Thor corrected her seriously. "Logically speaking, human language shouldn't be able to hurt you."
Seeing Galatea's expression, as if she was about to explode, Thor finally abandoned his joking thoughts and, after thinking for a moment, said:
"To be honest, I don't know what to do with you. Just don't cause any trouble in my city."
Galatea scoffed, a hint of disdain in her voice. "What fool would dare cause trouble in your city now?"
That's the truth.
The Frost City is now remarkably safe.
After all, who knows if the elderly folks walking around with their dinosaurs might actually be retired Sorcerer Supreme from some universe?
After a moment of silence, Galatea spoke again, her tone less sharp and more subtly complex. "I want to go back to my universe and say goodbye to my father... properly."
Thor glanced at her with some surprise, but nodded anyway, granting her request.
"Alright then, go find Valeria and ask her to open a portal for you. Oh, and by the way, have Kara come with you."
Galatea's eyes instantly sharpened as she stared at Thor: "You actually care about a clone like me who has no human rights?"
"You seem to have misunderstood something," Thor corrected.
"What I care about are the citizens of Frost City, and you happen to be one of them. I don't want to suddenly receive news that you went back to visit relatives, only to be detained by the government of your universe."
He shrugged, looking annoyed. "We'll have to send people to rescue you then, that'll be a huge hassle, won't it?"
Galatea gave him a deep look, said nothing, and then rolled her eyes again.
The next second, her figure instantly sliced through the air, creating a piercing sonic boom, and flew towards the city lord's mansion, disappearing into the horizon in the blink of an eye.
Madelyne then walked over to Thor, stood on tiptoe, kissed him on the cheek, and asked with a sweet breath, "You really don't like this guy?"
Thor shook his head and said honestly, "She's not much of a help to me."
For Thor, a partner is not just a companion, but also an ally and a helper.
Although Galatea is powerful, her strength is not indispensable in the current Frost City.
Madelyne pointed to herself, a hint of slyness and anticipation in her eyes. "And what about me?"
Thor smiled, put his arm around Madelyne's waist, looked into her eyes and said:
"You're the joint principal of several superpowered schools in Frost City, and if I remember correctly, those kids seem to prefer you to Phoenix Jean, right?"
Mentioning this, Madelyne's face immediately lit up with pride, and she proudly raised her chin. "Absolutely! Every year my approval rating is several percentage points higher than hers! I don't even look at that idiot Scott!"
Looking at her smug expression, Thor silently thought to himself: Did this girl also drag her past self into this?
Just as the two were enjoying this rare moment of tenderness, a young voice, yet carrying an inappropriate air of composure and weariness, suddenly rang out behind them.
"Um... although I really didn't want to interrupt your date, could you please sign for the package? I still have tens of thousands of orders to fulfill today."
The newcomer was none other than Barry Allen, the Flash, dressed in his red suit.
He held a package and a receipt sign in his hand, a professional smile on his face, but deep in his eyes was an unyielding weariness.
