Thor watched Valeria leave in high spirits, his face darkening. That little squirt had no respect for her elders, acting so arrogantly just because her brother was Franklin!
Damn it!
Still, to latch onto such a powerful backer, all he had to do was contribute a vial of blood. No big deal.
Once he had made lots of friends and reduced the number of his enemies, who in the entire Marvel Universe could threaten him?
That's me for you. I'm a genius among geniuses!
"Thor, you're not that much of a pervert, are you? You won't even leave a little girl alone?"
Betsy appeared without a sound, like a ghost.
Thor was used to the way she showed up. He rolled his eyes and said, "Seriously, Betsy? Do you think I go after every woman I see?"
"Hmm... pretty much."
Betsy thought about it for a moment, then nodded.
Smack!
Thor reached out and flicked her forehead without mercy.
"You're looking at me through tinted glasses, Betsy. I could never have designs on an underage girl. That would be fucking beastly! I'm not that stud Zeus from Olympus! He won't leave anything alone as long as it's alive and has a hole!"
"So Zeus really is as promiscuous as the myths say?" Betsy rubbed her forehead where he had flicked it and looked at Thor curiously.
"Of course. He's even worse. He'll do anyone or anything, and he likes throwing group parties, too. Anyway, the Norse myths might not be all that accurate, but the ones about Olympus definitely are, especially when it comes to Zeus."
"By the way, how did you meet her?"
"You mean Valeria?"
"Yeah."
"She came with a green woman in armor and a man whose whole body could burst into flames. I think their names were Gamora and Johnny."
"So it was Human Torch and Thanos's adopted daughter. Don't worry about those two. Just focus on meeting Valeria's requests. She's a top scientist, and unlike her dad, she doesn't like stirring up trouble."
"Does Valeria's father have such a bad reputation? Why are you so scared when you mention him?"
Betsy was confused. He was just a scientist. What kind of major disaster could he cause?
"Betsy, this isn't just a matter of whether he has a good reputation. Anyway, just remember, if you see a rubber man in a blue suit, don't have anything to do with him. Leave right away."
"Basically, whenever he starts doing research, something is bound to go wrong. Things like zombie crises and multiverse crises are mostly caused by him alone."
"Zombies? Thor, do you mean the walking dead in movies?"
The name sounded familiar to Betsy. It seemed to be a concept from some movies.
"The very same zombies from movies, the kind that spread the infection by biting people."
"In that case, Valeria's father really is a troublemaker."
Betsy quickly reached that conclusion. Then she stared straight at Thor, brushing back the long hair draped over her shoulders as she did.
"Thor, haven't you forgotten something?"
Watching Betsy's movements, Thor suddenly understood.
"Oh, you mean rebuilding your body, right? Come in. Whatever kind of body you want, I can give it to you."
Thor stepped aside, gesturing for Betsy to enter.
Betsy didn't stand on ceremony and walked straight into the wooden cabin.
Click!
Thor closed the door behind her and turned to face her. "Betsy, I need you to let down your guard, then recall your old body in your mind. It would be best if you could remember every detail clearly. That will make it easier for me to use the laws to rebuild it for you."
"Every detail? And I have to remember it clearly? Thor, are you sure you're not the one who wants a look?" Betsy tilted her head at him.
"Well, there's no helping it. I've never seen what you originally looked like. Or you could describe it to me, but that would take a lot longer."
Thor spread his hands helplessly, leaving the choice to her.
"Are we going to do it in this crude wooden cabin, then?"
Betsy looked around the cabin. Not only was there no furniture, but the floor was even a little rough, and there were some tender shoots on the walls.
"All right, what style of interior do you want?"
Thor snapped his fingers, and the law of reality began to operate, driven by his divine power.
The interior began to change continuously. Modern decor, cyberpunk, and medieval aristocratic styles flashed past one after another.
Thor was still switching between settings when Betsy smacked him to make him stop.
"Stop! Quit changing it. You're making my head spin."
She folded her arms, glanced at the gaudy decorations, and scoffed,
"Medieval aristocrats, cyberpunk... they look like a hassle. Cleaning them would be a pain."
Thor raised an eyebrow. "What do you want, then?"
Betsy walked over to the wall and tapped her fingertip against the wood grain, grinning mischievously.
"Keep it simple. Natural wood, nice and warm, with a soft sofa and a little low table. Enough room to sit and lie down."
After a pause, she deliberately leaned closer and added in a low voice,
"Most importantly, there has to be a big enough bed. That way, if anything goes wrong while you're rebuilding my body, you can catch me, and I won't be accused of taking advantage of you."
She laughed as soon as she finished, clearly teasing Thor on purpose.
"All right, as you wish."
The interior instantly changed to a pure natural-wood style. A low rosewood coffee table stood in the center, with several brown leather sofas beside it. On the far right was a large bed, fully four meters long and three and a half meters wide.
Several oil paintings hung on the formerly bare walls. Two pots of purple moth orchids in full bloom hung by the window, beside a neat natural-wood bookshelf lined with a dazzling array of books and a few solid-wood handcrafted sculptures.
"Looks pretty good." Betsy sat down on a sofa. "At least those two pots of flowers are just to my taste."
"Of course. I think those flowers are a lot like you. Shall we start now?"
Betsy chuckled at that. Looking at the tall Thor standing before her, she slowly gave a one-word answer.
"Yes."
She closed her eyes, let down her guard completely, and began recalling every detail of her original body.
Thor began to draw on the power of the laws he had mastered. The laws of creation, soul, reality, life, and time all gathered in his palm.
Then he used Telepathy to connect to Betsy's mind. Once he had grasped every detail of her body, the power of the laws in his hand began to coalesce.
With the law of time accelerating the process, a humanoid outline soon began to appear before him.
Tsk, tsk, tsk...
In my previous life, I'd only ever customized faces in games. I never thought I'd get to model an entire body in Marvel. This is a pretty novel experience.
Hmm... a little brighter here, smoother hair, smoother skin, facial bone structure with the standard golden ratio, more defined features, a little bigger here, a little smaller there, a little perkier here...
It was Thor's first time modeling an entire body, so naturally he had to make it the best he could. He kept making adjustments, not even noticing when Betsy moved behind him.
Watching Thor enjoy himself so thoroughly, Betsy couldn't help twitching the corner of her mouth.
Thor, and you still say you're not a lecher.
Still, she had never expected him to put so much care into creating a body for her. A trace of warmth rose in Betsy's heart, and the corners of her mouth curved up without her realizing it.
"All right, Betsy, are there any abilities or anything you want? Hmm... let me think. I'll make your telepathy and psychic power Omega-level. Your psionic energy can't fall behind either. As for strength, three hundred tons, and add teleportation..."
"Huh? Holy crap! I can give you a healing factor too? Why can't I add one to myself? Forget it, never mind. Add a trace of the law of oblivion to enchant your psionic energy, and perfect!"
Thor admired his masterpiece with great satisfaction. He looked toward the sofa, only to discover that Betsy was no longer there.
"Betsy, why did you go behind me?"
Thor turned to look at Betsy, only to find her frozen in place like a statue, completely motionless.
Did she go in already? She couldn't wait that long?
Before Thor could turn around, he felt something soft against his back. Betsy hugged him tightly from behind, her cheek beside his ear. Her warm breath stirred Thor's heart as she spoke, her voice seductive and teasing:
"Thor, I told you. Once the deal was done, I'd be yours."
