Clark's desperate words hadn't even fully dissipated in the deathly silence of the darkness when a crisp, deadly gunshot rang out without warning!
"Bang--!"
Thor had already decisively pulled the trigger.
The sound wasn't loud; it was even somewhat muffled. But the consequences it brought silenced the entire world.
Clark turned around abruptly, as if to say something, but a glimpse out of the corner of his eye caught a scene that almost froze his blood.
Black Adam, who was just hovering in mid-air, surrounded by black lightning, and exuding arrogance and invincibility, now had his head... completely exploded like a watermelon smashed by a hammer!
Red and white, mixed with bone fragments, splashed briefly in the air, creating a single, fleeting flower of blood before being completely swallowed by the darkness of the space.
The headless, burly body froze in mid-air for a moment, then, like a puppet with its strings cut, it crashed straight to the ground with a "thud" and fell silent.
Clark gasped twice, a chill running from the soles of his feet to the top of his head.
Black Adam... he's really dead?
He knew Black Adam's strength very well. The man who was granted power by the ancient Egyptian gods could, under normal circumstances, fight him to a standstill, and might even have an advantage over him in some aspects.
Yet this formidable creature was wiped out in a single shot by that exaggerated sniper rifle, armed with a tiny Nth Metal bullet!
There wasn't even time to react!
Clark wanted to condemn Thomas's cruelty, but he swallowed the words back.
Black Adam was an enemy sent by Barbatos to kill them, so Thomas's actions were perfectly reasonable.
Most importantly, the person is already dead.
The only thing he can do now is to stop Bruce's killer father from pointing his gun at Carter!
Even Black Adam couldn't withstand a single shot, so how could Carter, corrupted and delirious, possibly withstand it!
On the other side, Vandal Savage was completely dumbfounded.
As an immortal, he had witnessed the rise of countless heroes and the fall of countless powerful figures, but he had never seen such an outrageous scene.
He knew all too well how strong Black Adam was, yet he was instantly killed in a single exchange, before he even had a chance to utter a harsh word?
Is this reasonable? This is absolutely unreasonable!
For the first time, his brain, which had lived for tens of thousands of years, malfunctioned.
"Bang--!"
Another shot rang out, just like before.
Before Savage could even sort out his confusion, he felt a chill between his brows, and then, the whole world crumbled before his eyes.
A final thought flashed through my mind: even immortality can die...
Savage's body followed Black Adam's steps and collapsed to the ground with a thud.
Thor turned his gun, and the cold crosshairs were already firmly set on the head of the corrupted Hawkgirl Kendra in the distance.
Just as his finger was about to pull the trigger again, a hand wearing a black tactical glove firmly and steadily pressed down on the cold gun.
"Enough." Bruce's voice was hoarse, like two pieces of sandpaper rubbing together.
He had already recognized Kendra.
Those were their comrades; there was still hope.
More importantly, Thomas's actions at this moment reminded him of another person— Deathstroke, Slade Wilson.
No, it's even more ruthless than the Deathstroke.
Deathstroke at least had a contract and a price to pay when he killed, but " Thomas " in front of him killed as easily as breathing, without the slightest hesitation or a single wasted word.
Warning bells rang in Bruce's mind.
He only temporarily accepted this man who claimed to be his father, but never truly believed him.
The other party's style of doing things has absolutely nothing to do with the word "hero".
However... Bruce glanced at the mountain-like Carter in the distance, then at the two still-warm corpses on the ground.
In special times, special measures may indeed be necessary.
He didn't say anything more.
Thor looked up from behind the scope at Bruce: "Then it's your decision, Bruce."
He retrieved the sniper rifle, the massive machine rapidly disintegrating in his hands in a way that defied physics, transforming back into its individual parts, which he then stuffed back into his bat belt.
He slowly pulled out another seemingly ordinary bottle of mineral water from his belt, unscrewed the cap, and walked to the body of Vandal Savage.
"Splash..."
Clear water was poured onto Savage's body, and a bizarre scene unfolded.
Savage's body was not corroded or dissolved, but rather erased from the world inch by inch, like pencil marks erased by an eraser, along with his blood and any trace of his existence, all vanishing without a trace.
Clark's eyelids twitched as he read it.
This villain, who once gave the Justice League a major headache and repeatedly returned by virtue of his immortality, is... completely finished?
He could sense that it wasn't a simple death, but a higher level of Oblivion.
Thor used the power of the laws to completely erase Vandal Savage from the very source of "existence".
Unless Savage's power surpasses the laws Thor has mastered, he won't even have a chance to reincarnate.
"Roar--!"
Just then, the corrupted Hawkgirl Kendra let out a shriek filled with rage and madness, transforming into a black streak of light, her claws aimed straight for Thor's throat!
However, Thor simply flicked his wrist without even looking up.
"Whoosh!"
The golden Lasso of Truth, like a living serpent, precisely wrapped around Kendra's waist and pulled him back sharply!
Kendra was pulled off balance by a tremendous force, and before she could struggle, Thor's figure appeared before her like a ghost.
There were no unnecessary movements, just three simple and brutal heavy punches.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
The first punch cracked her protective dark Nth Metal armor inch by inch.
The second punch sent blood gushing from her mouth and nose, and the madness in her eyes faded almost entirely in an instant.
The third punch knocked her eyes back and she lost consciousness completely.
The whole process was so smooth and fast that Clark didn't even have time to say anything to stop it.
Thor grabbed Kendra by the scruff of her neck like a chick and tossed her to Bruce's feet, clapping his hands. " Bruce, this is your teammate, right? Youth is great, she can fall asleep the moment she hits the pillow."
Bruce looked down at the unconscious Kendra, then looked up at the relaxed "father" in front of him, who seemed to have only done a trivial thing. The doubts in his heart had become so thick that they could not be dispelled.
The fact that Black Adam and Savage could be instantly killed can be explained by that terrifying weapon, Nth Metal.
But with just three punches, he knocked out a corrupted Hawkgirl enhanced by Barbatos's power...
This " Thomas Wayne " doesn't look like a normal human being at all!
" Thomas," Bruce finally asked the question that had been lingering for so long, his voice low and serious, "What serum did you receive? Or... did you participate in some kind of human modification experiment?"
Thor laughed upon hearing this.
He casually pulled a blue vial of serum containing a spiral-shaped liquid from his belt and tossed it to Bruce.
"It's just a very ordinary serum," he said casually. "You could also call it, the Super Soldier Serum."
Bruce caught the serum, his thumb rubbing the cold bottle, his eyes sharp as knives. "What are the costs, consequences, and the enhancements?"
"The price is that good people will become better, and bad people will become worse. There aren't any serious consequences, except that it will develop your body's potential to the limits of human capability."
Thor held up his fingers to indicate, "About... a few tons to a dozen tons of force, depending on the individual's physique."
Bruce stared at the bottle of blue liquid, his eyes gleaming.
Countless research plans and possibilities flashed through his mind in an instant.
Thor saw right through his thoughts. "I suggest you get the injection now, otherwise, once you take it back and start studying it out of curiosity, Gotham City will be full of super soldiers in no time. Then you'll have a lot to do."
Bruce remained silent for a moment, but ultimately put the serum into his belt.
"I have my own plans," he replied coldly.
To him, any power that has not been thoroughly studied or cannot be fully controlled is a potential threat.
"Alright," Bruce turned his gaze to the still-roaring giant Carter in the distance, and the unconscious Kendra on the ground, "Now, it's time to think about how to wake them up."
Thor retrieved the Lasso of Truth, a golden light flashing briefly in his hand.
He looked at the two corrupted heroes, a meaningful smile appearing on his face.
"I have an idea."
Clark immediately looked at him warily, instinctively stepping in front of Bruce to shield him, his voice tense. "You're not... going to have to use your gun again, are you?"
Thor looked at Clark's tense expression and his smile widened.
"No," he said slowly, "It's better than that."
