" Mr. Stark... what do you mean by 'too extreme'?" Peter-B looked at Peter-A with a bewildered expression; he genuinely couldn't understand the question.
"I don't really know how to explain it to you specifically," Peter-A scratched his head, seemingly organizing his thoughts.
"Anyway, all you need to know is that last time we went on a mission to another universe, Mr. Stark single-handedly wiped out all the villains on Earth in that Wasteland Universe."
"..."
"..."
Upon hearing this, both Peter-B and Dr. Banner had question marks appearing above their heads.
They wiped out all the villains on Earth in the entire universe?!
What does this mean?
Dr. Banner was the first to react. He adjusted his glasses and asked cautiously:
"Is it... because of the differences in the rules between different universes? Multiverse variants or something like that? The Tony I remember, while he can be ruthless towards criminals, he mostly focuses on subduing them."
"I don't know the specifics," Peter-A explained, "But it seems that Pepper. Ms. Potts and Happy almost died, which is why he became like this."
Dr. Banner frowned. "What about Steve... Captain America? Aren't they going to do anything about it?"
"There's nothing we can do about it." Peter-A shook his head.
" The Winter Soldier incident had already made Tony less trusting of Captain America. They usually operate separately when carrying out missions in the multiverse."
He paused, then added, "Not to mention, Mr. Stark also encountered a guy named Ego who wanted to make a move against Morgan, so now he's basically preferring to kill the innocent rather than let the guilty go free."
Peter-A pointed to Morgan, who was rummaging through his pocket for snacks not far away, "And now, most of the time, Mr. Stark's parents and Morgan Stark live in Frost City."
Dr. Banner then asked, "And what about the security situation on Earth in your universe...?"
"It's alright," Peter-A thought for a moment, "There are still plenty of petty thieves, but there are basically none who dare to do anything big. Because they all know that the captain and I will reason with them, and at worst, they'll suffer serious injuries and be in critical condition for a hundred days. But Mr. Stark... he never reasons with them."
Dr. Banner fell silent immediately after hearing this.
He roughly understood.
Why is Tony Stark in this parallel universe so extreme?
His loved ones were repeatedly brought to the brink of death before his very eyes, and his own parents had indeed died at the hands of the Winter Soldier sent by Hydra.
Tony has always advocated not being an Avengers, but a preventer.
Nip any danger in the bud.
As for whether it's right or wrong, no one can give an answer.
Dr. Banner glanced at Morgan, who had somehow pulled out a small bag of snacks and was now enjoying them.
Perhaps, for Tony Stark, all he needs is a complete and safe home for his daughter.
Just then, Jean Grey, who had been bound by golden energy chains, spoke up, her gaze falling on Sentry Robert: "I'm... on your side now, right? Can you let me go?"
She gestured to the energy binding her limbs.
Robert glanced at Peter-A, and seeing that he didn't object, he waved his hand, and the golden chains instantly turned into specks of light and vanished.
Jean Grey stretched her stiff wrists and refrained from making any further rash moves.
"Are you going back?" Peter-B asked, looking at them.
"We really should go back." Peter-A nodded, then changed the subject, a hint of helplessness on his face.
"But the problem is... we can't go back. The way back has been blocked by both magic and technology, so we might need some help from the local area."
Peter-B paused for a moment, then immediately realized the seriousness of the situation.
He looked at Sentry Robert beside him and said, "Excuse me... Mr. Sentry, could you take us to 177A Bleecker Street? I think we might need to seek help from the Sorcerer Supreme."
Robert nodded, extended a hand, and gently placed it on Peter-B's shoulder.
The next second, the surrounding scenery distorted, and the group instantly found themselves on a New York- style street, with an old-fashioned building in front of them.
However, as soon as they landed, the building's door creaked open by itself.
A bald Asian man in a dark mage's robe, sweeping the steps with a broom, emerged from inside. He looked up, his gaze sweeping over the crowd before settling on Peter-A. and Robert, and spoke in a flat tone:
"Sorry, you're not welcome here, visitors from Otherworld."
"Wait, King!" Peter-B quickly stepped forward and greeted him.
"You remember me, right? I'm Spider-Man Peter Parker! I'm here for help. These people suddenly appeared in our universe, and I'm wondering if you have any way to send them back? Oh, by the way, Strange here?"
The mage known as "King" glanced at Peter B and said expressionlessly, "The last time you came to Strange for help, you almost tore reality apart."
Swish--
All eyes, including Peter-A and Morgan's, turned to Peter-B.
His eyes were full of curiosity: What exactly have you been up to, kid?
Peter-B's face flushed red instantly, and he wished he could disappear into a crack in the ground.
However, before he could explain, Wang continued, " Strange isn't here; he went to the Dark Dimension to deal with Dormammu's mess."
At this point, Wang's brows suddenly furrowed, he sniffed the air, and his eyes sharpened.
"Wait... why do you guys... have an aura from a dimensional demon god? It seems like... something demonic?"
The king's finger flashed through the air, and a golden magical aura swept across the sky.
Instantly, a faint, red thread floated above the heads of everyone present, except for Jean Grey, with one end disappearing into the void, its destination unknown.
Wang stared at the red line, his expression growing increasingly serious.
The aura was familiar, but he couldn't immediately place it.
Without hesitation, he casually drew a small portal in the air, reached his hand inside, and a moment later pulled out several thick, dusty ancient books.
He flipped through the pages quickly, the pages rustling.
A few seconds later, he stopped moving, and his expression became completely serious.
"It seems your arrival wasn't unexpected."
Wang looked up at everyone, put away his broom, and drew a huge, Mars portal in front of him. On the other side of the portal was a magnificent training ground filled with Eastern mysticism.
"Come with me."
He went in first, turned back and left a sentence that made everyone's hearts sink.
"You've been targeted by Mephisto, the Lord of Hell."
