In an unknown dimensional rift.
Kara, Strange, and the Classic Loki each finished their explorations and reunited at this location.
Kara's gaze swept over the two men. One was holding a thermos, looking like a retired old cadre; the other exuded a gloomy aura and didn't seem like a good person at all.
"So, are we going back now? Or should we look around some more?" she asked.
Classic Loki unscrewed the thermos, blew on the steam inside, and slowly took a sip.
"Of course I'm going back," he said slowly. "I need to enjoy the flowers with my mother. As for Strange, I think he has an appointment."
Dark Supreme Strange glanced at the Classic Loki, said nothing, and merely nodded almost imperceptibly.
He did have a date; Christine had finally managed to snag a ticket to the Terra Continent, and he wanted to go see it for himself and maybe get Christine a little pet while he was at it.
As high-level combatants under Thor, the three of them were ordered to investigate these three ritual sites to see if they were new strongholds of those rats from the Council of Kangs.
As a result, they returned empty-handed.
The Classic Loki's gaze fell on the alien creature perched atop Kara's head, Thor Tuotuo, and his eyes held a deeper meaning.
"Although that Thor isn't the Thor I know, there's one thing they're quite similar," he said. "There are some things that, if you don't say them to his face, he won't care, and he won't even give a response."
"You should know that most Thor in the universe are single-minded."
"If you're content with the status quo, then so be it. If you're not, it's best to find some time to have a serious talk; I believe he won't refuse."
Kara froze for a moment, realizing something, and a slight blush crept onto her usually cold and hard face.
She looked at the two of them, "Is it that obvious?"
Strange looked at the Krypton woman speechlessly, as if he had heard something absurd.
"This isn't something obvious," he said coldly. "Do you think a normal person would specifically bring a custom-made pet?"
"You didn't leave your super brain with your cousin, did you?"
Being exposed to her face, Kara was a little embarrassed. She opened her mouth, about to say something in her defense, but the three of them simultaneously looked towards the dark void in the distance.
"Don't run away! Let me take a bite! Just one bite!"
A clear, slightly urgent female voice rang out.
A woman clad in purple futuristic armor was seen relentlessly chasing another woman engulfed in golden-red flames.
The woman running ahead was incredibly fast, turning into a streak of light, but the pursuers behind her were even faster.
The fiery woman turned and shot out a thick energy beam, powerful enough to easily vaporize a small planet.
However, the purple-armored woman who was chasing her simply opened her mouth and swallowed the energy ray as if it were water.
The woman, engulfed in golden-red flames, looked at Kara and her companions with obvious delight, as if they were her saviors.
She suddenly accelerated, instantly rushing in front of the three people, and then "whoosh," she hid directly behind Kara.
The Classic Loki and Strange had little interest in such trivial matters.
But their eyesight was incredibly sharp; they immediately recognized that the "woman" hiding behind Kara was not made of flesh and blood, but rather a pure energy aggregate.
A "person" who is not human, that's interesting.
The two exchanged a glance, both feeling a surge of curiosity, and decided to wait and see what happened.
Soon, the woman in purple armor and wearing a giant crown caught up with them.
She stopped a short distance away, her purple eyes scanning the three of them up and down, muttering to herself.
"This meat is too tough, too dry, not tasty..." She looked at the Classic Loki and shook her head.
"There are too many dimensional monsters in this body, it must taste awful, it has a weird smell..." She looked at Strange again, and curled her lips in disgust.
"This... its body is too hard, it's hard to chew." Finally, her gaze fell on Kara, and she looked troubled.
These comments caused Strange's eyes to twitch, while the Classic Loki took another sip of tea with great interest.
Kara frowned, stepped forward, and blocked the purple-armored woman's view.
Who are you? Why are you pursuing her?
The woman in purple armor glanced at Kara, then looked longingly at the energy entity hiding behind her, like a puppy eyeing a bone.
She gave a brief self-introduction. "My name is Galacta, you can call me Gali."
After saying that, she pointed behind Kara and said pitifully, "She's not a woman, she's food I've set my sights on! Please, give her to me! I often go hungry on Earth, and I'm starving! If I eat her, I can survive for a long time!"
Hungry?
A strange feeling stirred within Kara.
Would a cosmic being capable of readily absorbing energy rays go hungry?
She turned to look at the fiery woman behind her and asked, "And who are you?"
The woman with the flames seemed a bit dazed, her face showing an innocent naiveté, yet she tried hard to project an air of authority.
She straightened her chest, though it was just flowing energy, and then said in a deliberately composed voice, "I am Carol Vers, Captain Marvel of Earth."
Kara: "..."
She turned to look at the Classic Loki and Strange, giving them an inquiring look, "Do you know each other?"
Both of them shook their heads.
"I know there is such a person," Strange said coldly, "But I've hardly ever seen him. Besides, Frost City is so large now, with all sorts of variants coming and going, yet we rarely see Captain Marvel's variant. It's safe to say that this identity is mostly unpopular."
The Classic Loki added, "Indeed, most Captain Marvel in the universes aren't very bright; they cause more trouble than they solve."
Hearing this, Captain Marvel, who was hiding behind Kara, dimmed her flames and looked somewhat aggrieved.
Kara was having a bit of a headache; one was a starving creature that seemed to be eating people, and the other was an energy being that looked rather foolish.
What is all this nonsense?
Just then, the Classic Loki, who had been leisurely drinking tea, suddenly exclaimed "Oh ho!" and his expression became somewhat subtle.
He looked at Kara and Strange and said, "Another mission. Thor wants us to rescue his girlfriend."
"Who?" Kara asked instinctively.
Classic Loki put down his thermos, slowly opened his mouth, and said, word by word:
"Someone you definitely know."
"It's that one, the one who likes to dress herself up all in red..."
" Scarlet Witch Wanda."
