In the morning, Thor was awakened by a faint, sweet fragrance.
The room was still filled with steam. The bathroom door was gently pulled open, Emma Frost came out, drying her wet hair.
She wasn't wearing any elaborate or luxurious dresses; she was naked, her skin glowing faintly under the light, completely uninhibited and without the slightest discomfort.
She glanced at Thor, who had just woken up in bed, her gaze indifferent, as if she were looking at something perfectly normal.
She reached out and picked up a white suit that was clearly men's but looked extremely cool and elegant on her from the back of a chair. She slowly and deliberately put it on, buttoning it up to her throat, exuding an aura of asceticism and domineering power.
He casually ruffled his hair, tucked it behind his ear, picked up the miniature spatial device and a stack of documents from the table, and didn't even glance at Thor again.
"I'll go handle city affairs."
She left with a cold, dismissive remark, "I'll settle the rest of the score with you when I get back tonight."
The door closed gently, leaving Thor alone in the room.
He rubbed his temples, sat up, and his lips twitched.
What a load of nonsense.
Don't you have any idea who really came out on top last night?
This so-called loser is putting on a victorious act. It seems he hasn't been disciplined enough. I'll have to continue punishing this stubborn and arrogant guy tonight.
Thor shook his head, suppressing the chaotic images in his mind, and quickly composed himself.
Betsy is still imprisoned in Valeria.
If we don't go and rescue her soon, Betsy's resentment could probably feed countless evil sword immortals.
He quickly tidied himself up, pushed open the door, and walked straight towards Valeria's laboratory.
They encountered few people along the way. The morning in the Knowhere was naturally quiet, and with the strict regulations in Frost City, the streets were exceptionally empty.
Valeria's laboratory is hidden deep within a seemingly ordinary building, with layers of protection that prevent ordinary people from even getting close.
As soon as Thor reached the door, before he even pushed it open, an overwhelming aura of resentment emanated from within.
He paused, his heart skipping a beat.
That's it, the kind you can't appease.
He took a deep breath and pushed the door open.
The laboratory is spacious and bright, filled with suspended light screens, complex mechanical structures, and space stabilization devices.
Valeria sat in front of the control panel, swinging her legs, munching on an energy bar with great interest, her eyes fixed on the screen in front of her without blinking.
On the screen, Betsy was trapped in a soft yet sturdy spatial barrier, looking utterly hopeless, her eyes filled with a murderous resentment.
Hearing the door open, Betsy turned her head sharply, her gaze fixed on Thor, her eyes filled with a mixture of grievance, anger, and sarcasm.
Thor felt a chill run down his spine from the stare.
Before he could speak, Betsy spoke lightly and slowly, her voice both indifferent and piercing:
"Awake?"
" Emma Frost tasted good last night, didn't she, Thor?"
Thor: "..."
You know what, it's actually pretty good.
He turned to look at Valeria, who was pretending to be focused on the data but actually just watching the show, and tried to keep his tone as calm as possible:
" Valeria, release them."
Valeria didn't even turn her head, casually tapping the screen with her little hand, her tone innocent yet irritating:
"I won't let go."
"I find watching the three of you like this more interesting than any cross-verse soap opera I've ever seen."
Thor's lips twitched.
"Hey, you little rascal."
Don't think that just because you have powerful connections, I can't do anything to you.
Valeria finally turned around, her small face full of disdain, and she pursed her lips in a disdainful remark:
"Cut."
"You're just saying that."
"Do you really dare to touch me?"
Valeria's older brother— Franklin Richards.
That's a truly extraordinary monster, a monster at the pinnacle of the multiverse, capable of crushing reality with a mere wave of its hand.
He's only just entered the Universe Level; if he really met Franklin, he wouldn't stand a chance.
Wait until Lao Tzu breaks through the multiverse.
I'll teach you a lesson by pressing your head down.
So what if you have powerful connections? I still have cheat codes!
Thor was internally spewing threats, but on his face he could only maintain a helpless expression.
Valeria was overjoyed to see his expression, and then, satisfied, she raised her hand and waved it gently.
The spatial barrier surrounding Betsy slowly dissipated.
When Betsy came out, her aura was frighteningly low. She stood there, arms crossed, head turned away, ignoring Thor.
He's clearly still angry.
She was angry that Emma Frost was being unreasonable and throwing her at her, angry that Thor was with that woman, and even angrier that she had just taught Emma Frost a lesson yesterday, only to have her completely outmaneuvered.
Thor walked over, lowered his voice, and spoke in an unusually gentle tone:
"They're gone."
"The whole day is yours."
Betsy pursed her lips, neither moving nor speaking, clearly still throwing a tantrum.
Thor didn't urge her; he just stood in front of her and waited quietly.
After a few seconds, Betsy's shoulders slumped slightly, but she still delivered a stiff remark:
"I'm not going."
Thor didn't press the issue; he simply extended his hand to her.
Betsy glanced at the hand, her expression contorted for a long time, but ultimately she didn't shake it off.
Thor gently pulled her close and led her outside.
Valeria sat at the control panel, watching the two figures leave, her chin resting on her hand, as if she had watched a boring soap opera.
"Boring."
"They made up so quickly."
She shook her head and turned her attention back to the screen, where the words "Infinity Stones Power Unit" quietly appeared in one corner.
On the street, the artificial sunlight wasn't too glaring, and the air carried a faint energy unique to the Knowhere, mixed with the aura of laws.
Betsy remained mostly silent, but she didn't struggle anymore either, quietly letting Thor lead her away.
Thor glanced down at her, about to ask where she wanted to go, whether she wanted to stroll around the city or find a quiet place to stay for a while.
In that very instant--
A voice that was extremely vulgar, extremely familiar, and extremely noisy descended from the sky, and could be heard clearly throughout the entire street.
" Thor --!!!"
"My Thor! I've finally found you!!"
Thor froze, his entire body jolting violently.
That voice, that tone, you won't find another one like it in the entire Marvel Universe. It's so damn distinctive. The person who came was none other than Wade Wilson, the authentic Deadpool from Marvel!
The next second, a red and black figure descended from the sky, tumbling and crawling towards them. The face was covered by a mask, and the movements were exaggerated to the extreme, as if it was about to burst into tears.
"Quickly! Thor! Tell that beautiful but volatile lady next to you to stab me hard!"
"I want to die in your arms!" Then utter that classic line—
Deadpool took a deep breath, gathering his emotions, preparing to shout in a tragic grandeur, "I--am--dead--!"
He hadn't even finished shouting.
Thor remained expressionless, and lightly lifted his fingertip.
The Law of Space unfolded instantly.
A pale blue, semi-transparent, and incredibly sturdy spatial dome suddenly formed, completely enveloping Deadpool inside.
Deadpool missed and crashed headfirst into the spatial barrier with a loud thud that sounded painful.
The scene fell silent instantly.
Deadpool was stunned for two seconds, then suddenly came to his senses, immediately bristling with rage, frantically pounding on the barrier and jumping around:
Hey! Hey! What are you doing!
" Thor, you have no sportsmanship! How could you lock me up like that old Wolverine who hasn't showered for hundreds of days?!"
"I'm different! I have a lot to sell! Audiences love to see me die in your arms!"
Thor, not wanting to listen to his rant, interrupted him coldly:
"Let's get down to business."
"Is Mr. Paradox going to destroy your cosmic ray?"
Deadpool's jumping and leaping abruptly stopped.
The eyes beneath the mask blinked sharply.
"Holy shit..."
"You actually knew that?"
"How did you know? My God, could you also see those lovely spectators watching us from outside??"
Deadpool immediately stopped acting up, turned around abruptly, and excitedly flashed a peace sign at thin air and an imaginary camera.
Hey everyone! Did you see that?!
"Your beloved Thor has actually become aware of your existence! This is incredible! This is going to be a box office smash!"
"Damn Fox, they could never make such a brilliant ending! Only Thor and I could!"
Betsy, who had been watching with a blank expression, finally couldn't help but coldly interject:
Wade Wilson.
You're still as talkative as ever.
Deadpool instantly turned around and yelled at Betsy, his fur standing on end:
" Elizabeth Betsy Braddock! Shut up!"
"This is Thor tragic and destiny-bound moment! Don't you, a supporting character, try to steal the show!"
Betsy's eyes turned cold, and a faint glint of psychic energy flickered within them.
Thor quickly reached out and pressed her down, signaling her not to stoop to Deadpool's level.
He looked at the Deadpool in the spatial cage, his tone calm:
I know more about Paradox than you do.
"He didn't just mess with your storyline; he's been secretly cutting timelines, altering timelines, and throwing people into the Knowhere."
Deadpool immediately stopped his antics, and his tone became a little more serious, though he was still incredibly cheeky.
"Then you have to help me!"
"He's going to ruin my universe! Then the audience won't have anything to watch! After all, I'm Marvel's most popular character!"
Thor looked down at Betsy, who was still a little upset but remained standing beside him.
"I'll handle it."
He gave a curt reply, which was taken as an agreement.
Deadpool was overjoyed and was about to start his dramatic suicide attempt again.
Thor didn't bother to look, and with a wave of his hand, the spatial cage, along with Deadpool, was temporarily moved to a folded space to the side, isolating them from the outside world.
The world became instantly quiet.
Betsy glanced at him, her tone still indifferent, but with far less resentment:
"What, are you going to save the world again?"
"No, I just want to get rid of this clingy pest."
