Spirit Shark withdrew its bandaged hand, moved it slightly, and seeing that there was no problem, jumped onto the thin line and found a comfortable position to lie down.
"Okay, brother, I've finished bandaging you up. You should be able to wake up after a little more rest."
Minghai placed the bandaged Sea Herring in a specially made net bag, turned to look at Mingsha, his eyes sparkling like a child waiting to be praised.
"Yes, thank you for your trouble. You're such a good sister."
Mingsha patted her head and praised her gently.
Minghai's eyes narrowed into two crescent moons as he thoroughly enjoyed Mingsha's head pat and praise.
After patting her head, Mingsha glanced at Spirit Shark and sighed softly when she saw that she still didn't want to say anything.
Then, he looked at Hela with a somewhat strange expression.
" Hela, didn't you know you possessed such immense power?"
"Huh? I don't know."
Hela clenched her fist, the powerful force emanating from it feeling completely unfamiliar to her.
Hela had previously thought it was her imagination, believing that this was how normal people felt about power.
But after slapping the dragon to death, Hela realized that she was wrong.
She does indeed possess immense power, so much so that she could easily crush the Spirit Shark's hand.
Moreover, she only used a tiny bit of her strength, if Hela hadn't been afraid and hadn't stopped immediately after hearing the sound of bones breaking.
The Spirit Shark's hand would probably have turned into a pile of minced meat by now.
"You didn't know?" Mingsha frowned, while Spirit Shark beside him seemed to have expected it.
Hela nodded slightly.
"Yeah, my body used to be very weak, I couldn't even run. Now I don't know why, but suddenly I have such great strength."
Mingsha stroked his chin thoughtfully, then gave up thinking about it after a moment.
"Perhaps something happened to you that gave you this power, but overall it's a good thing."
Let's not dwell on where this power comes from.
Hela thought about it and agreed that what he said made sense.
So far, there haven't been any side effects to gaining this power. If I had to point out something, it would just be that it's a little uncomfortable when I'm sleeping.
Since we don't know the reason anyway, we might as well just use it properly.
" Hela, I acknowledge you," Mingsha suddenly said.
"Ah?"
Hela was completely stunned, her eyes filled with disbelief and shock as she looked at Mingsha.
"Wait a minute, isn't this a bit too hasty?"
"You've only known me for less than two days. How can you truly understand me? What if I'm not what you think...?"
No, you are exactly what I think.
Mingsha smiled and shook his head, his gaze towards Hela full of certainty.
"Putting aside your abilities, the fact that you still fulfilled your responsibilities when your Life was threatened is enough for me to acknowledge you."
"Alright, believe in yourself, you're absolutely qualified."
Mingsha patted Hela on the shoulder. Hela's lips parted slightly, but she didn't say anything. She could only look at Mingsha with gratitude in her eyes.
Seeing this, Minghai's lips curled into a wide grin, revealing a genuine auntie smile.
"My brother's finally made something of himself; he's finally finding a wife on his own."
Upon hearing this, Hela and Mingsha blushed and quickly distanced themselves from each other.
Minghai's smile immediately vanished.
"Ahem, um... Spirit Shark, now that Hela has been accepted by me, what are your plans next?"
After a moment, Mingsha finally spoke, breaking the awkward silence.
Hela looked at Spirit Shark with some anticipation. She understood Mingsha's unspoken meaning: he was asking if Spirit Shark had approved of Hela.
After all, now only Spirit Shark is missing from the three guardians. As long as she agrees, Hela can become a guardian!
But in reality, the Mingsha, a simple sea Variant, didn't have so many ulterior motives; it was simply asking the Spirit Shark what it planned to do.
Spirit Shark stared at the ceiling for a long time, then sighed softly and sat up.
"I'll rest here with Hela for a while, then I'll go to the core area by myself."
Her gaze pierced through the wall, landing on the dragon's location, her eyes filled with solemnity.
"Now there are some of the crazed beasts that I can't handle, and Hela can't fight, so she has no way to use her power properly."
So I need to get a helper.
"What about the area you're patrolling? It feels like this area has been quite dangerous these past few days, and Kai Sha and I might not be able to cover it all."
Mingsha asked this question, while Spirit Shark looked at Hela instead.
"I'll leave these next few days to you. I've taken you around a few times already, so you should know what to do."
Hela pointed to herself in disbelief, "Me? I can't do it."
Hela waved her hand dismissively, looking rather unsure.
"This is a test for you. If you perform well and there are no problems after I return, then I will approve of you."
"How about it?"
"Well... okay, I'll try my best!"
Spirit Shark nodded slightly and lay back down. "By the way, because of my injury, the journey back and forth might take a little longer."
I estimate... two or three days, it won't take long."
"Oh, okay, okay."
Two or three days isn't a long time. Hopefully, Hela will be lucky and not encounter those crazed monsters.
Just thinking about their ferocious appearance sent a chill down Hela's spine.
Even though Hela knew she could probably slap them to death right now, she was still terrified.
It's like how you could Mingming stomp a mouse to death, but you'd still scream in fright when you see one—it's the same principle.
"Brother, brother, you should try your best now, otherwise these two older sisters will be leaving soon."
Minghai leaned close to Mingsha, tugged at his arm, and whispered something in his ear.
"Stop fooling around! Go to sleep!"
Mingsha blushed, waved his hand, then grabbed Minghai by the back of the collar, stuffed him into the net bag, and hung him on the line.
He and the Spirit Shark lay directly on the thin line, since they were both Sea Shark Dragon, and with such a large size, it was impossible for them to be carried away by the seawater.
Now that everyone was asleep, Hela took out her net bag, lay down obediently, and began to sleep.
The rustling sound reached Hela's ears as she slept.
Hela gave a soft hum, opened her eyes, and looked in the direction of the sound. She saw that the Spirit Shark had gotten up at some point and was swimming towards the door.
The Spirit Shark also noticed Hela's gaze and turned to look at her.
"I thought I wouldn't disturb you, but I didn't expect you to wake up so easily."
"No, I just woke up too."
"By the way, are you leaving so early? Should we tell Mingsha and the others?"
Spirit Shark shook her head slightly. "No need. It's good to let them rest more."
"Wait a minute, after Mingsha wakes up, have him take you back to Tang Tang's house, or you can go back by yourself. I'm leaving now."
"Okay, goodbye, Sister Spirit Shark!"
The Spirit Shark drew back the curtain and disappeared from Hela's sight.
Seeing that the other party had completely left, Hela glanced at Minghai and the other person, intending to have them see her off later.
But the thought of Minghai begging her to become Mingsha's wife sent a chill down her spine, and she decided to swim back herself.
