Yang Zhen survived a deadly Heavenly Punishment, helped Flirtatious Chicken awaken, and sought the means to revive him in Jade Pool’s Land of Seven Yin and Seven Yang. He entered the Heaven-Favored selection and stunned everyone by producing eleven strands of Heavenly Radiance before fleeing.

• Fu Kun understood Yang Zhen’s Dao in the image of grass returning to life, but Bai Shengbo attacked him and tried to expel him from the Gujin Clan.
• Yang Zhen confronted Bai Shengbo and Tai Zhongquan, restored the ruined valley, and pursued Bai Shengbo as Heavenly Punishment gathered over the cultivators.
• Tai Zhongquan died fighting his tribulation beast, while Yang Zhen battled the beasts in the clouds and faced a Heart Demon shaped like Flirtatious Chicken.
• Yang Zhen endured Flirtatious Chicken’s attacks until Flirtatious Chicken awakened and offered his life spark, but Yang Zhen returned it and fought the tribulation alongside him.
• Yang Zhen, Flirtatious Chicken, and Evil Shadow Black Taotie dispelled the tribulation, and Hua Youyue sheltered Flirtatious Chicken while Yang Zhen learned he needed a Lightning Parasol Tree in the Sea of Sin to revive him.
• Yang Zhen gained insight while working in a teahouse, then learned that Yun La represented Jade Pool and that he had to become Heaven-Favored to enter its Land of Seven Yin and Seven Yang.
• Yun La and other Heaven-Favored talents met Yang Zhen at Duck Water Ditch, where Yang Zhen agreed to take Jade Pool’s selection and began cultivating its method of communing with heaven and earth.
• Yang Zhen produced eleven strands of Heavenly Radiance, surpassing the known limit, then fled as Wu Tao chased him and reported that more strands had burst from his body.

Yang Zhen’s cultivation and guidance transformed those around him, then he entered the Jade Pool Grand Assembly at Eaglefall Cliff and drew the attention of the Holy Land’s leaders. The stretch ended with him confronting Wan Jian and revealing that he could diagnose, and perhaps treat, Wan Jian’s fatal condition.

• Yang Zhen’s Heavenly Radiance surged to a hundred streaks during a heavenly phenomenon, and he later admitted to cultivating twenty strands while helping Wu Tao, Mo Shuiyan, and Jin Heng advance.
• Yang Zhen taught Jin Heng Buddha’s Wrathful Fire Lotus and fused his own Golden Lotus Heavenly Fire and Netherworld Karmic Fire into a black lotus, while Wu Tao entered the Dao through observing him.
• Yun La brought Yang Zhen and the others to the Western Region, where Yang Zhen claimed to have cultivated a hundred strands of Heavenly Radiance and boasted about meeting the Third Holy Maiden.
• Yang Zhen entered the Jade Pool Grand Assembly and, instead of joining the contestants fighting over the summit ruins, jumped to Eaglefall Cliff and countered its corrupting Common Qi with Heavenly Radiance.
• The Third Holy Maiden and the Holy Land’s elders watched Yang Zhen’s progress, while Wan Jian approached him during his sudden enlightenment.
• Yang Zhen greeted Wan Jian, identified his hidden injury and scorpion poison, and told him he could survive even without finding a Heavenly Transformation Fruit.

Yang Zhen outwitted the Grievance-Dissolving Valley disciples, found Mount Sumeru, and outclimbed Lin Haotian before entering the mountain’s core. When Yue Qian threatened him, Yang Zhen confronted him in a fight that ended with Yang Zhen striking him with Buddha's Wrathful Fire Lotus.

• Yang Zhen tricked Le Ying and her companions into surrendering their tokens, then used his Heaven-Befuddling Grand Formation to defeat them and leave them hanging unconscious from trees.
• Yang Zhen used foundational techniques to locate Mount Sumeru, while Lin Haotian obtained the Sumeru Seal and set out to challenge him.
• Lin Haotian killed Tuoba Hai and took tokens from other Heaven-Favored People before confronting Yang Zhen, who followed him toward Mount Sumeru.
• On Mount Sumeru, Lin Haotian challenged Yang Zhen to race to the summit, but repeatedly fell to the mountain’s shifting hazards as Yang Zhen mocked him and climbed ahead.
• Yang Zhen reached the summit, announced that he had removed the restrictions, and led the others toward the core entrance, where Lin Haotian’s Sumeru Seal failed.
• Yang Zhen entered the core after Lin Haotian’s Companion Heavenly Fire triggered an explosion, then refused Yue Qian’s demand to come out until Yue threatened his companions.
• Yang Zhen challenged Yue Qian, kicked Lin Haotian off Mount Sumeru, and faced Yue Qian in a fight.
• Yue Qian blasted Yang Zhen underground and sent Heavenly Fire after him, but Yang Zhen emerged with the Great Deficiency Sword and struck Yue Qian with Buddha's Wrathful Fire Lotus.

Yang Zhen killed Yue Qian, mastered the Nine-Character Mantra, and helped the Third Holy Maiden refine the Heavenly Star Stele while confronting the Emperor Blood. He then led his companions toward the Land of Seven Yin and Seven Yang, where he fought the Heavenly Pivot Holy Land’s ambush until Ding Dian arrived.

• Yang Zhen broke through Yue Qian’s sword net, destroyed Mount Sumeru with his Buddha’s Wrathful Fire Lotus, and killed Yue Qian with a primal Qi arrow.
• Yang Zhen entered the Heavenly Star Stele with Wang Yuxuan, found its hidden golden characters, and led the Third Holy Maiden through the layers until they reached the ninth world.
• Yang Zhen and the Third Holy Maiden endured the ninth layer’s pressure as she refined the stele and Yang Zhen mastered the Nine-Character Mantra.
• Emperor Blood emerged from the Heavenly Star Stele, and Yang Zhen fought through the Great Tribulation of Heaven and Earth while protecting the Third Holy Maiden.
• Yang Zhen sealed the Blood Seed, and Heavenly Eclipse crushed Zhu Yingting before the Third Holy Maiden completed her work in the stele.
• Yang Zhen left the Jade Pool Holy Land with Hua Youyue, Han Yan'er, and Shameless Cat, heading for the Land of Seven Yin and Seven Yang to revive Flirtatious Chicken.
• Yang Zhen used his Shadow Clones and Momentum against the Heavenly Pivot Holy Land’s ambush, then absorbed Elder Hu’s lightning and charged through the enemy camp.
• Elder Hu set his soul ablaze and rushed Yang Zhen, but Ding Dian descended from the sky and drew everyone’s attention.
