Background / History

Childhood and Gaming

Jiang Sui lost her parents in a car accident ten years before the main events. She suffered severe brain injuries and received intensive care. Kinship testing confirmed that she and Su Hang were biological siblings 497.

Su Hang introduced her to Honor of Kings when she was five. She wanted to reach King rank so they could play together, but her prolonged Diamond plateau embarrassed her. Rather than admit her difficulties, she told him she had quit. Players eventually nicknamed her the Grinding Overlord for her persistence 116 299.

Alongside playing, she spent ten years collecting game badges. Early in the story, she claimed to own every commercially available badge except the Strongest Overlord Gold Badge 9.

Joining Sovereign Dominion

Su Hang obtained the Strongest Overlord Gold Badge and gave it to Jiang Sui after she promised to help him. She subsequently reviewed more than 500 applicants in one day and asked to oversee Sovereign Dominion’s daily management. He refused her request for a vice-captain position, which required Overlord-level ability or an Overlord title 98 108.

She instead applied under the identity Tai Sui. Although Su Hang decisively defeated her in the one-on-one trial, she secured the team-leader position and a monthly salary of 10,000 yuan. He continued to believe that Tai Sui was someone else and that Jiang Sui merely acted as the player’s intermediary 116 117.

Her secrecy extended to staged conversations between her main and alternate QQ accounts. Other core members learned her identity before Su Hang did, allowing her to continue the deception 246 258.

Competing Beside Her Brother

During Su Hang’s push toward Thousand-Star Rank, Jiang Sui tried to obtain a 900-star account so she could enter his matchmaking range. She intended either to help him as a teammate or sabotage Imperial Emperor if placed on the opposing side. Huyan Ya supplied five million yuan for the bidding, while Hu Xiao later lent her four million 237 238 294.

Her identity finally came out when Huyan Lan became unable to compete at Clash of Kings. Rather than let Sovereign Dominion forfeit, Jiang Sui confessed that she was Tai Sui. Su Hang initially reacted with disbelief, then gently forgave her and brought her into the lineup 299.

Playing Xiao Qiao, she struggled under pressure but survived repeated attacks with protection from Su Hang and Yugong Liuli. Afterward, Huyan Lan suggested letting her continue competing to gain major-tournament experience 302 306 309.

Liuli’s Rescue and Kanzaki’s Intervention

When Su Hang decided to rescue Liuli from the Yugong Family, Jiang Sui immediately offered to accompany him. She became furious when Huyan Lan, Yin Long, and Hu Xiao initially refused to help, accusing them of abandoning their chief vice-captain 374.

Her appeal on QQ reached her longtime online friend Kanzaki Sakurazō, who intervened to protect Su Hang. Seeing him apparently killed during the livestream, she blamed herself for drawing him into danger. Huyan Ya helped her recognize that their friendship was genuine and that his intervention reflected his wish to protect someone she loved 410 413.

Kanzaki survived. Jiang Sui later worried that his killing of numerous enemies would result in imprisonment 425.

Imperial Emperor’s Identity and the Rewritten World

After leaving Sovereign Dominion and running away in anger, Jiang Sui resolved to return home. Whatever Su Hang’s identity as Imperial Emperor meant, she insisted that he remained her brother and needed her care 492.

Following Su Hang’s disappearance, collective memories and the lives connected to him were rewritten. In this altered life, Jiang Sui recognized Zhou Keyu, an unrelated boy adopted by her grandfather, as her older brother. She and Huyan Ya supported the household through part-time work 511 512 516.

She no longer remembered Su Hang and denied ever having learned to cook. Liuli’s descriptions of her former life—including her cooking skills and devoted biological brother—therefore sounded like an unfamiliar dream to her 514.

Future Consciousness and Time Travel

The person known as Su Sui is revealed to carry Jiang Sui’s consciousness from 2035. In that future, Liuli converted the damaged Imperial Crown into a consciousness-stream time machine and sent the twenty-five-year-old Jiang Sui twenty years into the past. A flaw placed her consciousness in the five-year-old Su Sui rather than her own younger body 544 549.

She lost the intervening memories from 2015 to 2025, then recovered her future memories after Su Hang disappeared. This leaves the younger Jiang Sui and her future consciousness in Su Sui’s body present as separate individuals 516 550.

The future remembered by Su Sui includes Jiang Sui marrying her beloved overseas and becoming a full-time wife. While her wife undertakes dangerous missions, she waits at home, weaving safety knots and praying for her return 518.

In 2035, Jiang Sui is taken to Imperial Crown Island alongside Huyan Lan, Yin Long, and Hu Xiao. They meet Eve, Su Liuli’s holographic supercomputer, and are transported toward the undersea Time Research Institute 554.

By the finale, the world has corrected the inconsistencies surrounding Su Hang’s disappearance. Jiang Sui remembers his military career and tells Liuli about his service and the circumstances that kept them apart for ten years 583.

Appearance

• Face: Pale skin, bright eyes, and slightly baby-faced cheeks; her eyes are also described as doll-like and almond-shaped 6 7.
• Hair: Long black hair worn in a high ponytail, with wispy strands framing either side of her forehead 6.

Personality

Jiang Sui is lively, theatrical, and mischievous. She flatters Su Hang when she wants money, invents elaborate bargaining stories, and switches rapidly between smugness and exaggerated obedience when he outmaneuvers her. Their pranks are reciprocal: her attempts to trick him regularly end with the joke turned back on her 6 7 9 62.

Her attachment to money and merchandise is pronounced, but it does not override every principle. She refuses a hundred-yuan apology in place of the one-yuan coin she considers rightfully hers. Later, despite financial hardship, she refuses Liuli’s million-yuan gift because she has not earned it 171 509.

Beneath the teasing, she is deeply attached to loved ones and easily moved by their affection or suffering. She saved more than 300,000 yuan over three years to buy Su Hang an Emperor Hero suit of armor. Her guilt over Kanzaki’s apparent death also exposes her fear that she has exploited friends whose kindness she treasures 117 413.
