Dai Lingfeng and Huo Yuhao joined Shrek’s inspection mission to the Ming Dou Mountain Range, where Dai Lingfeng expected the Death Messenger to attack. As the group prepared to hunt Evil Soul Masters, Dai Lingfeng armed Dai Yueheng with an Invincible Shield while Xuan Zi and Tang Hao settled in to feast.

• Huo Yuhao reminded his companions that he still had to win the ten-year agreement, and Bei Bei, He Caitou, and Wang Dong encouraged him.
• Xuan Zi recruited the main and reserve teams into the Inspection Corps and assigned them to eliminate the Hand of Death in the Ming Dou Mountain Range within three to five days.
• Dai Lingfeng agreed to join and recalled that the Death Messenger would attack, trusting that Xuan Zi and Tang Hao would protect the group.
• Xuan Zi led the students to the Ming Dou Mountain Range, where they gathered ingredients and Huo Yuhao began cooking for everyone.
• Dai Yueheng gave Dai Lingfeng a boxed meal, and Dai Lingfeng handed him a level-six Invincible Shield.
• Tang Hao emerged from hiding to eat and drink with Xuan Zi, while Dai Lingfeng silently equipped several more Invincible Shields.

Dai Lingfeng joined the assault on the Death Messenger’s hideout, where exploding corpses killed three main team members and wounded others. He survived by hiding, then killed the Death Messenger as Tang Hao destroyed the bodies to prevent another explosion.

• Dai Lingfeng and the others attacked the Death Messenger’s hideout, and Dai Lingfeng secretly prepared for trouble while fighting the Evil Soul Masters.
• Huo Yuhao noticed the corpses swelling, and the Ice Empress protected him and Wang Dong when the bodies exploded.
• Xuan Zi and Tang Hao rushed to the cave, where they found Xi Xi, Chen Zifeng, and Gongyang Mo dead, Ling Luochе lightly injured, and Ma Xiaotao wounded.
• Tang Hao destroyed the three dead team members’ bodies to stop the Death Messenger from detonating them again.
• Dai Lingfeng leaped from the shadows and killed the Death Messenger with Hell Stab.

Dai Lingfeng turned the Death Messenger and several other enemies into ghost minions, then led the surviving Shrek team toward the tournament in Star Luo City. As the team prepared to rely on him and Dai Yueheng to defend Shrek’s championship, Dai Lingfeng left to speak with his fiancée, Xu Jiujiu.

• Dai Lingfeng made the Death Messenger, Xi Xi, Chen Zifeng, and Gongyang Mo ordinary ghost minions under Electrolux’s command.
• Xuan Zi discovered the Death Messenger was dead, and Dai Lingfeng told him to answer to the academy for the team’s losses.
• Xuan Zi took Ling Luochеn and Ma Xiaotao back for treatment while Wang Yan led the remaining team members toward Star Luo City.
• At the hotel, Wang Yan urged Dai Lingfeng and Huo Yuhao to set aside their grudge and work together for Shrek’s tournament victory, and Huo Yuhao agreed.
• Dai Lingfeng excused himself to meet his fiancée, Princess Xu Jiujiu.

Dai Lingfeng reunited with Xu Jiujiu, then announced that he was leaving Shrek Academy and joining Star Luo Royal Academy. His betrayal left Shrek’s representatives panicked as Wang Dong angrily challenged him.

• Dai Lingfeng met Xu Jiujiu, who confronted him about his behavior at Shrek Academy and worried about his plan.
• Dai Lingfeng returned to Shrek’s meeting hall with Xu Jiujiu and criticized the academy’s ability to oppose the Sun Moon Empire.
• Dai Lingfeng announced he was quitting Shrek Academy and its team to join Star Luo Royal Academy and defend the tournament championship.

Dai Lingfeng openly betrayed Shrek and tried to recruit Dai Yueheng for the Star Luo Royal Team, insisting that Shrek’s glory was over. After clashing with Wang Dong and Huo Yuhao, he secured Dai Yueheng’s agreement to leave with him.

• Wang Dong condemned Dai Lingfeng for abandoning Shrek when its team was gravely injured, but he declared that the Star Luo Empire would win the championship.
• Dai Lingfeng called on Dai Yueheng to join the Star Luo Royal Team, and Wang Yan protested that Shrek would be left with only substitutes.
• Huo Yuhao angrily accused Dai Lingfeng of betraying Shrek, but Dai Lingfeng reminded him that Shrek had once denied him core disciple status.
• Dai Lingfeng claimed Dai Yueheng belonged to the White Tiger Duke's Mansion and said he was taking him, and Dai Yueheng agreed to go with him.

Dai Lingfeng abandoned Shrek and took Dai Yueheng with him, leaving Shrek's team devastated and facing the tournament alone. Tang San condemned the betrayal but, after deciding not to give Dai Lingfeng the Sea God inheritance, considered the vacant Rakshasa Godhood for him instead.

• Dai Lingfeng left Shrek with Xu Jiujiu, and Dai Yueheng followed after apologizing to Wang Yan.
• Wang Yan collapsed after ordering the academy to be notified, while Huo Yuhao urged Shrek's team not to give up.
• Dai Lingfeng explained to Tang San that he had betrayed Shrek to pressure Huo Yuhao and curb Shrek's power.
• Dai Mubai supported Dai Lingfeng's decision, arguing that Shrek had grown too powerful to govern.

Dai Lingfeng’s decision to withdraw from Shrek and undermine it alarmed Xu Jiujiu, Dai Hao, and Xu Jiawei, while Tang San considered helping him inherit the vacant Rakshasa Godhood. Dai Lingfeng faced his father and Xu Jiawei and claimed he could oppose the Sun Moon Empire himself.

• Tang San considered making Dai Lingfeng a successor to the Rakshasa Godhood to strengthen his own camp.
• Xu Jiujiu supported Dai Lingfeng’s actions against Shrek and promised to explain them to Xu Jiawei, while Dai Yueheng worried about the consequences.
• Dai Hao and Xu Jiawei learned that Dai Lingfeng had withdrawn from Shrek and mocked the academy, and they waited for him to explain himself.
• Dai Hao confronted Dai Lingfeng about endangering the three kingdoms by striking at Shrek.

Dai Lingfeng convinced Dai Hao and Xu Jiawei that Shrek was no longer needed, then took command of the Star Luo Team and replaced two members. At Shrek, Mu En learned of Dai Lingfeng’s betrayal, collapsed under the news, and called a final Sea God Pavilion Meeting.

• Dai Lingfeng promised Dai Hao he would prove himself in the Soul Master Tournament and argued that Shrek was no longer necessary.
• Xu Jiawei appointed Dai Lingfeng captain of the Star Luo Team, and Dai Lingfeng went with Xu Jiujiu and Dai Yueheng to meet its members.
• Dai Lingfeng reorganized the team, replacing Wang Yichen and Wang Shiying with himself and Dai Yueheng.
• Mu En heard that Dai Lingfeng had betrayed Shrek and spat out blood as Yan Shaozhe helped him up.

After Dai Lingfeng defected to Star Luo Academy, Mu En blamed Xuan Zi for Shrek Academy’s crisis and ordered reinforcements sent to Star Luo City. Mu En named Xuan Zi his successor as Sea God Pavilion Master and, near death, left him to seek Dai Lingfeng’s return; Ma Xiaotao learned of the betrayal and vowed to confront him.

• Xuan Zi knelt before Mu En and admitted that his negligence as team leader had contributed to the team’s losses and Dai Lingfeng’s defection.
• Mu En ordered Yan Shaozhe to send Ma Xiaotao, Ling Luochе, and five inner-court students to Star Luo City to fill the team’s vacancies.
• Mu En rejected the elders’ suggestion to hold the Star Luo Empire and White Tiger Duke’s Mansion accountable, then let Xuan Zi try to persuade Dai Lingfeng and Tang Hao to reconcile with Shrek.
• Mu En declared that he was near death and appointed Xuan Zi to succeed him as Sea God Pavilion Master.
• Ma Xiaotao raged at Dai Lingfeng’s betrayal and announced that she was returning to make him pay.

Ma Xiaotao prepared to return to the tournament and face Dai Lingfeng, while the Sun Moon Royal Soul Engineer Academy reassessed its strategy after Dai Lingfeng joined the Star Luo team. The Sun Moon team recognized him as their chief threat, though Elder Ma hoped Shrek’s split with Dai Lingfeng might create an opening.

• Yan Shaozhe warned Ma Xiaotao not to act rashly against Dai Lingfeng, and she promised to stay calm.
• Ma Xiaotao met Ling Luochе and the others, then traveled back to Star Luo City with Xuan Zi and Yan Shaozhe.
• Elder Ma told the Sun Moon team that Dai Lingfeng and Dai Yueheng had joined the Star Luo team, making Star Luo their primary target.
