He rescued elders from the Cloud-Hidden Pavilion and fought off three black-robed brothers, then let the survivors leave before calling after them at the doorway.

• Xiao Yan followed the clans and cultivators to the blood lake, where the ruins opened and deadly blood pillars and mist killed many Half-Emperors.
• Xiao Yan saved Xiong Gang and used the Great Dao of the Void to devour blood pillars, then gave Tian Ying, Yan Shi, and Xiong Gang Void Robes to protect them.
• Xiao Yan used Gu You’s power to defeat Zhuo Bentang and injure Zhuo Lin, then entered the ruins with his companions after burning away the blood mist.
• Xiao Yan escaped the formation’s illusions and reached a golden hall, where he searched chambers and collected Spirit Stones, pills, medicinal ingredients, and rare metals.

Xiao Yan survived Sun Hanxi’s attack, found the Soul-Congealing Fruit, and gained the One-Horned Whale Serpent as a companion. At the golden hall, Sun Hanxi’s death fueled a clash between the clans before a hidden chamber’s treasures triggered a deadly battle.

• Xiao Yan stopped the black-robed boss from fighting the Cloud-Hidden Pavilion elders, gave him pills, and collapsed from exhaustion.
• After recovering, Xiao Yan learned the Soul-Congealing Fruit might be in the Ancient Forest, then fought Sun Hanxi until the Northern King broke through to One-Star Dou Di and defeated him.
• Bai Zhan confronted the wounded Sun Hanxi, while Sun Shuo later discovered his son’s Soul Tablet had shattered and blamed the Zhuo Clan.
• Xiao Yan entered the Ancient Forest, found the lake and Soul-Congealing Fruit Tree, and reunited with the One-Horned Whale Serpent, which had become a powerful Dou Di.

Xiao Yan and the clans fought through the ruins’ formation and battled over the inheritance, which the One-Horned Whale Serpent swallowed. After Xiao Yan’s Fire Lotus devastated the plaza, he disappeared from the ruins and reappeared beyond the snowbound mountains with Tian Ying and two others, facing Leng Bingshuang.

• Xiao Yan stole Spirit Stones from the giant beasts, destroyed several of them, and climbed the pressure-stricken stone platform with the One-Horned Whale Serpent.
• The experts gathered before the statue, where Mu Kunlun’s attack triggered a formation that trapped them and killed many with golden beams.
• Zhuo Lin organized the experts to destroy the formation’s pedestals, and Xiao Yan helped break it before the survivors raced for the inheritance.
• Sun Shuo exposed Xiao Yan’s identity, then fought him as the clans battled for the inheritance, and the One-Horned Whale Serpent swallowed it and grew stronger.
• The Four Great Clans joined Sun Shuo against Xiao Yan, but the serpent defeated Sun Shuo and swallowed Huo Tianyi before its inheritance-fueled energy encased it.

• Leng Bingshuang suppressed the violent energy inside Xiao Yan and demanded that he deliver a Bodhi Restoration Pill within two years, then took responsibility for the One-Horned Whale Serpent.
• Xiao Yan refined the Soul-Congealing Fruit, advanced his Spiritual Strength to the third tier, and learned the Four Saints Manifestation Technique before choosing the Strength Elephant Art.
• After half a month of cultivation, Xiao Yan used the Strength Elephant Art to destroy two mountain peaks with a punch that used no Dou Qi.
