This guy was completely devoid of humanity.
Even his own subordinates were expendable to him... heh, how ironic.
Wang Xiaoming looked at him coldly and did not take the attack head-on.
He raised a hand and opened the Dimensional Wall in front of himself, then stepped through and vanished, leaving the dark red sound wave to strike empty air.
"Damn it... you!"
Before Boss Tu could get another curse out, Wang Xiaoming had appeared behind him, the tip of the Kunai Sword pressed against his thick neck.
The icy touch made every hair on Boss Tu's body stand on end.
"Do you have any other branches, or a boss in charge? Tell me and save me some time, and I can leave your corpse intact."
Hearing the childish voice that did not quite match his appearance, Boss Tu grew more contemptuous and suppressed the terror in his heart.
"Little brat, want to be a hero? I'm afraid you don't have what it takes!"
"Third Soul Skill-Mad Lion Transformation!!"
Boss Tu roared, and the Third Soul Ring beneath his feet suddenly lit up. A scarlet blast erupted around him, knocking the Kunai Sword from Wang Xiaoming's hand.
Boss Tu's body grew even larger, his hands became broader and thicker, and his golden mane instantly turned blood red.
Seeing this, Wang Xiaoming leaped backward, putting some distance between himself and the man.
"Kid, do you know why I bathe in blood?"
Boss Tu's scarlet eyes stared straight at Wang Xiaoming, and the corners of his mouth rose in a crazed smile.
"It's because my Martial Soul lets me grow stronger whenever I bathe in blood...
A genius like you probably wouldn't understand. My Mad Lion Transformation could only increase all my attributes by one percent at first, but now I've strengthened it to nine percent!
As I am now, I'm not afraid of even a Soul King! What have you got to fight me with!?"
Boss Tu's figure swelled, and the blast lifted his blood-red mane like a raging fire.
Wang Xiaoming stood more than three zhang away, his Kunai Sword held across his chest. The blue light in his compound eyes flickered faintly.
"Nine percent."
He repeated the number, his voice icy.
"So you bathed in the blood of all those people and only gained eight percent."
The savage grin on Boss Tu's face froze for a moment.
He had thought his words would draw at least a hint of fear from the brat before him, but those azure compound eyes were unnervingly calm, and even his voice had not wavered.
"Kid, still talking tough? When I tear you in half... you'll find out what cruelty means!"
Before he had finished speaking, Boss Tu shot forward, almost twice as fast as before.
Blood-red claws tore through the air with a piercing whistle, heading straight for Wang Xiaoming's face.
Wang Xiaoming turned sideways, and the claws grazed his shoulder armor, throwing off a shower of sparks.
He pivoted with the movement, sweeping the Kunai Sword upward at Boss Tu's wrist.
The blade cut half an inch in before it caught on the layer of blood-red fur on his wrist.
Boss Tu swung his arm back, hurling Wang Xiaoming away, sword and all. Wang Xiaoming flipped over in midair before landing steadily.
"See that!"
Boss Tu held up the wrist, a shallow bloody mark on it, and laughed wildly.
"You can't even break my skin. What can you do to me? That lousy sword of yours is only good for slitting the throats of small fry!"
Wang Xiaoming lowered his head and glanced at the edge of the Kunai Sword.
It was coated in a layer of dark red, greasy substance that smelled of rust and rotting flesh. It did not look like something a Soul Skill alone could explain.
Did this guy absorb impurities into the surface of his body every time he drank blood, forming a rough keratin shell that appeared whenever he used this so-called Soul Skill?
After that enhancement, his attacks really were somewhat lacking.
Unless he unlocked Rider Kick...
But by his reckoning, he probably could not unlock that until he obtained his Second Soul Ring.
Boss Tu was still chattering away, pacing around Wang Xiaoming as he boasted about how he had grown stronger.
"Do you know how many people I've killed? Five hundred? A thousand? I can't even remember anymore!
Those scum would only be wasting food if I left them in the ground anyway. They might as well make me stronger!
If you want to blame someone, blame your own bad luck for running into me!"
"How many of the people you killed were Soul Masters?"
Wang Xiaoming suddenly asked a seemingly unrelated question.
"Huh?"
Boss Tu voiced his confusion.
"You killed so many, but they were probably all just ordinary people, weren't they?"
Looking at the arrogant man before him, Wang Xiaoming had already thought of a way to deal with him.
Hearing this, Boss Tu said with a look of contempt,
"Ordinary people? So what?
Kid, you'll soon be one of them, and I'll keep using this method until I become a Titled Douluo. What can you do about it!?
Go to hell!"
He could not be bothered wasting any more words on Wang Xiaoming. He would deal with the brat quickly; he still had to move somewhere else.
"First Soul Skill-Stone-Shattering Claw!"
His claws gleamed with light capable of splitting metal and shattering stone as he charged straight at Wang Xiaoming.
But Wang Xiaoming did not panic in the slightest. Just as Boss Tu was about to reach him, he opened the Dimensional Wall directly in front of himself.
Boss Tu plunged headlong into it and vanished from the spot.
Watching him disappear before his eyes, Wang Xiaoming smiled faintly.
"Have a good trip... scum. You don't count."
With that, he left.
Meanwhile, in the central square in front of the Pope's Hall.
A gray curtain silently opened in the sky, and a figure fell out of it, crashing heavily to the ground.
That figure was Boss Tu.
He had fallen to the ground, and for the moment he had yet to realize where he was. He was still cursing.
"Damn brat, come out and face me if you've got the guts! Don't play these dirty tricks on me!"
His arrogant shouting instantly attracted a Spirit Hall patrol.
"Who goes there? How dare you trespass in Spirit Hall at night!?"
"???"
What did they say? What Spirit Hall?
Boss Tu stared blankly at the Angel Statue behind him, and his eyes widened.
Damn it, that brat tricked me!!
"Seize him!"
The temple knights closing in around him saw Boss Tu covered in scarlet and reeking of blood. They rushed him together and threw the man, who looked just like an Evil Soul Master, into a cell.
By the time Bibi Dong returned to the village with the people from Spirit Hall, Wang Xiaoming had already taken out a shovel and buried most of the people, excluding the villains, of course.
At first, Bibi Dong was very happy to see Wang Xiaoming, because he was all right.
But she soon noticed that the familiar figure was nowhere nearby.
Could they have missed each other when she went to look for her?
She forced back her sorrow and came up to Wang Xiaoming.
"Big brother... have you seen my mom?"
