Sun Fei nodded
During that night's flight, the giant goose Lianna reached its maximum speed. Nash wasn't exaggerating at all; such speed was indeed far beyond the reach of even True God- level powerhouse. They had likely already flown tens of millions of miles, finally crossing the vast ocean before them and seeing land.
Sun Fei guessed that this should be an island.
However, its area is so vast that it is comparable to a complete continent; from above the coastline, the distant edge cannot be seen.
The island was covered with strange rocks, their edges a dark red, seemingly devoid of any green vegetation. At dawn, when everything should have been at its most tranquil, tornadoes raged across the island, whipping up vast clouds of dust that resembled a colossal wall reaching to the heavens, obscuring the view and making it impossible to see what lay beyond.
Before coming here, Sun Fei had heard from high priest Nash and other Fox powerhouses like O'Neal that the natural environment was extremely harsh, practically like purgatory. Seeing it now, it was indeed terrifying.
"This is the edge of the Starfall Shamo, where hurricanes rage, quicksand rages, birds and beasts alike are barren, and even insects are extinct. It's utterly impossible to survive here. We need to cross this Shamo to reach a relatively safe place, where the Behemoth Beastmen tribe lives."
High Priest Fox patiently explained.
Sun Fei nodded
They then continued forward for another hour and a half.
After traveling more than 100,000 kilometers, the vast red Shamo below gradually disappeared.
Then came an endless range of mountains—dark gray or barren mountains, stretching as far as the eye could see. Vegetation was scarce, with red, yellow, and black soils interspersed throughout. Countless large gullies and rivers Zongheng the landscape like malevolent dragons, the somber gray color inspiring despair.
Here, one can finally vaguely see signs of the presence and activity of some intelligent beings.
On some of the higher peaks, towering statues of deities, some reaching a thousand meters in height, stand majestically.
"This is the habitat of the Behemoth Beastmen."
High Priest Fox looked down at the desolate mountains and treacherous waters below and said with deep emotion...
Compared to the world beyond the Endless Forest Sea, this place is utterly hopeless, a barren wasteland where, according to legend, gods banished the most heinous criminals—and that's where its name comes from.
Lianna the giant goose did not land.
"This is just the outer area, with an extremely harsh natural environment. Only a small number of beastmen with extremely strong reproductive and survival abilities, such as the Mouse Rat Clan, live in caves. Further inland, the conditions are slightly better, suitable for the survival of ordinary beastmen, but it's still not much better, even though that's the heartland of the entire Orc Clan."
Under the guidance of High Priest Nash of Fox, the group from Chambord's understanding of the Behemoth Beastmen was gradually deepening.
Sun Fei couldn't help but feel sorry for the fate of this once powerful race.
Below, the vast expanse of earthen hills is extremely barren, devoid of both vegetation and mineral resources; it's nothing but soil. Even the statues atop the hills are made of fired red clay.
Living in such an environment, without any resources, it's no wonder that even ordinary steel longswords make the orc warriors drool.
After another thirty minutes or so, signs of the Orc Clan activity below gradually increased.
From Sun Fei's and the others' perspective, they could finally see signs of life activity below.
In the distance, a magnificent and vast earthen city appeared, seemingly carved directly from a giant earthen hill. It stretched as far as the eye could see, with countless earthen fortresses and brick-and-wood palaces nestled within. Flags fluttered faintly in the air, and various flying animal mounts hovered low overhead. Thousands of enormous totem poles stood everywhere, releasing strange energy that enveloped the entire earthen city.
Finally, we can see some traces of green vegetation here.
A tranquil river flows gently through the city, and in its center, the waters converge to form a sky-blue lake, like a jewel embedded in the earth. The presence of water brings a touch of life to this earthen city.
This is
"We'll land on the outskirts and then walk into the city. All the major royal families and the orcish high temples are located within the city."
The giant goose landed about 30 kilometers away from the giant city.
About fifteen or sixteen hours later, everyone finally stepped back onto the ground.
A group of porcupine riders from the Pig Clan were already waiting below.
The porcupine mounts are slightly taller than human horses, their backs covered in black scales, giving them a fierce appearance. Their bodies and limbs are covered in barbs, and they stand atop a thick layer of hard, sturdy sand, making them awe-inspiring. The riders are all pig-headed, human-bodied, over two meters tall, with imposing physiques and considerable strength, all around the Early-Tier Moon Class, exuding a powerful and intimidating presence.
Chieftain Artest of the Pig Clan took some green, plant-like substances from his tribesmen and fed the giant goose for a while. Then, he affectionately patted the goose's head, leaving the rest of the tribesmen to care for the large creature.
The porcupine riders who came to greet them were clearly surprised to find humans accompanying Fox Priest Fox and his entourage. While wary, they also looked at Sun Fei and his group with curiosity, as if they were visiting pandas in a zoo.
Having not seen humans for a thousand years, the orcs' curiosity about humans was not much less than the humans' curiosity about orcs.
The ground was extremely dry, the soil was cracked, dust filled the air, and the air was extremely dry.
This place is 30 kilometers away and is a relatively open area.
Looking around, the Gobi Desert is filled with all sorts of low-lying buildings—mostly dilapidated tents and dugouts, as well as semi-subterranean houses, built of Rock or bricks, incredibly old and run-down.
Clearly, there are differences between the different orc races. They built earthen fortresses tens of meters high on the ground, protecting these structures within. Sharp Rock and wooden spikes, angled at forty-five degrees to the ground, were buried beneath the fortress walls, resembling the barbs of a hedgehog—a truly terrifying sight.
The earthen forts, spaced about a kilometer apart, are densely packed together, resembling piles of cow dung scattered on the ground, forming a defensive network that stretches out into the distant gray-black mountains.
Strange-looking orcs of unknown race, covered in dust, bustled about among the earthen fortresses. Amidst the swirling dust, the noisy roars and howls of various tamed wild beasts filled the air.
These fortresses were the places where the orcs defended themselves from danger and ensured the continuation of their race.
According to Fox Priest Fox, most of the people living outside are from mid- to low-level orc tribes. Relatively speaking, the living conditions here are quite good, and it's relatively safer.
Sun Fei's eyes were opened
His King felt as if he had traveled back millions of years to the Loess Plateau, witnessing the primitive lifestyle of countless uncivilized ape-men.
Artest whispered a few words in the ear of a tribesman wearing these animal skins, and soon more than twenty mounts were brought by the Pig Clan, including all sorts of wild beasts except for porcupines.
Sun Fei chose a mount that looked like a land velociraptor, sharing one with the Valkyrie Elena, Little Raccoon perched on their shoulders. Together with the others, they shouted and set off into the distance.
The people of Chambord City were also shouting and cheering. It was their first time riding such a mount, and everyone felt extremely excited.
At first, these beastmen mounts were slightly wary of humans, but fortunately, everyone was extremely strong and their riding skills were superb. After only a few hundred meters, they had already tamed these strange beasts.
These seemingly clumsy wild beasts can run several times faster than a human horse, and due to their enormous size, they possess tremendous impact power.
Sun Fei couldn't help but imagine it.
These beast riders possess immense strength, capable of bearing thousands of kilograms of force. If they were equipped with fine armor and joined by exceptionally skilled and fully armed orc warriors to form a knightly legion, their combat power would absolutely be able to annihilate dozens of human knightly orders of the same number.
If combined with the Orc Clan ' innate abilities and Totem Power, their combat strength would be...
Tsk tsk, just thinking about it is terrifying. He could definitely become the king of the knightly legions.
The beast riders covered a distance of over thirty kilometers in less than ten minutes, and had already arrived below.
Only by seeing it up close can one truly appreciate the grandeur and magnificence of this orc city.
Torres and the others gaped in astonishment, while Sun Fei secretly admired them.
Saint Petersburg and Lyon, the imperial capital, are both quite magnificent cities, but compared to this city before us, they seem to fall short. It lacks the opulent grandeur of Saint Petersburg and Gerland City, possessing instead a breathtaking sheer size and solidity. If Gerland and Saint Petersburg are elegant, jewel-encrusted, and radiant ladies, then this city is a rugged, hardened man emerging from the deep mountains, wielding a giant axe and shield, rugged to the extreme, weathered and valiant, inspiring a sense of heroic grandeur in those who behold it.
More than twenty Minotaur Clan warriors with strength at the Early-Tier Moon Class stood at the city gate.
Upon seeing Chief Nowitzki and his entourage return, the Minotaur warriors cheered and, without much questioning, let the group in.
The air in the city was slightly more humid, and there wasn't as much dust as outside.
The ground was paved with bricks and stones made of red clay. Pavilions and stone halls stood on both sides of the road, along with meticulously designed flowerbeds. In the well-cultivated black soil, clusters of budding plants grew. These touches of green, so common on the human continent, blossomed with unparalleled beauty in this harsh place of survival.
A bustling crowd of beastmen moved about, their cries of vendors filling the air, finally revealing a hint of the prosperity of a society inhabited by intelligent races.
Before entering the city, Sun Fei and his group had already changed into full-body cloaks to cover their faces, so as to avoid causing unnecessary disturbance among the orcs with their human faces.
Even so, the black cloak still attracted the attention of countless orcs.
In the City of Behemoths, being able to afford cloth clothing meant one was undoubtedly a very important person. The powerful orc warriors following closely behind, including High Priest Fox, exuding a strong aura, were mistaken for guards. The orcs instinctively assumed this was a high-ranking member of royalty on an inspection tour.
The journey was relatively smooth, and we soon penetrated more than 60 kilometers into the city.
The group stopped beside a river in the city.
"We must return to the Beast God Temple to report our gains to His Majesty Entes. The six royal families are also awaiting us," Fox Priest Fox said to Sun Fei with a slight apology. "They are unaware that His Majesty and the others have also arrived. Therefore, before the royal families and the Beast God Temple make a decision, please wait a moment with Chieftain Artest. We will arrange lodging for His Majesty and the others as soon as possible."
"Well, that's fine. I was just thinking of asking Artest Atest to show us around the city and let us see the splendor of the Behemoth Orc Clan."
Sun Fei had no objection to this.
Pedro unleashed a punch that shattered the last Byzantium warship.
On the sea, shattered ship debris floated everywhere, interspersed with the bloated corpses of soldiers from both sides, their blood staining the water crimson. Carrion birds circled overhead, and amidst the rolling waves, carnivorous fish and sea monsters with sharp white teeth devoured the corpses with frenzied abandon, as if enjoying a gluttonous feast.
The air was thick with the smell of death and blood.
Faintly, mournful wails could be heard coming from all directions.
The severely wounded soldier did not die immediately. Struggling, he floated in the blood, his eyes wide open, taking one last look at this cruel world, filled with a deep attachment to life. Perhaps in his final moments, he vaguely saw his parents, wife, and children at home, and his lover waiting faithfully for his triumphant return...
But soon, the icy seawater and ferocious sea monsters swallowed them up.
The poor souls who sank into the cold sea, perhaps countless years later, will still be the object of a young girl's springtime dreams, but they can never return.
Meanwhile, in the smoke-filled sky, two enormous Black Warship had retreated to the edge of the battlefield.
"Fire! Bow-mounted anti-tank guns! Fire! Blast him to pieces! Blast him to pieces! We must avenge His Constantine!"
Both beams of light, each a meter in diameter, shot down towards Pedro with a destructive aura. On the deck, the effeminate Jack and the cunning Barbossa appeared frenzied, their eyes gleaming with rage, like gamblers who had lost everything, brandishing their swords and roaring.
Below, Pedro stood indifferently atop the flagship, his hands drawing a semi-circle in front of his chest before suddenly thrusting them out, unleashing two crimson pillars of fire.
Boom
He intercepted the two beams of light from the divine and demonic cannons. The terrifying shockwaves spread in all directions, like the radiation waves of a nuclear explosion, creating towering waves on the sea.
Pedro's brows were furrowed
He had tried countless times in the previous battles, but unfortunately, the magical shields of these two ships were simply too powerful; even with his strength, he couldn't break through them. These two persistent, massive Black Warship were the only ones who could inflict heavy casualties on the Barcelona fleet.
Seeing that less than ten of his own ships had survived, Pedro felt a sense of utter despair.
It wasn't until recently that he realized Emperor Yassin wasn't actually in the opponent's formation. The Fist Intent Spiritual Imprint Void Sword Formation was actually set up by King of Chambord six months prior, and the young King he had mistaken for King of Chambord was merely an unknown Byzantium King.
This series of discoveries enraged and shocked him.
His rage stemmed from his preoccupation with guarding against an attack by the so-called Emperor Yassin, which prevented him from diverting any attention to aid his own fleet, resulting in heavy losses and near annihilation of his fleet.
What shocked him was the incredible strength displayed by the Zenit; the small, first-class vassal state of Byzantium had almost completely annihilated the Imperial Vanguard Legion's more than a thousand warships...
Could such a nation truly be struck down by lightning, just as everyone in Barcelona had predicted?
Especially the power of the King of Chambord...
Previously Pedro and many of his colleagues had dismissed the King's title as a " Young Supremes" as a joke, something to be taken lightly. But now, he felt a chill run down his spine.
The Fist Intent Spiritual Imprint Void Sword Formation, set up six months ago, already left me scrambling and taking half a day to break. Just how powerful is Chambord City?
Behind Pedro, the Barcelona naval commanders stood speechless, utterly dumbfounded.
What happened today was a visual shock that Barcelona residents could never have imagined.
It was like a nightmare.
"Take him away and let the mage treat him properly. I want to find out Zenit's true strength from him."
Pedro exhaled a breath of stale air and pointed to King of Byzantium Constantine, who had lost both legs and an arm and lay unconscious on the deck—it was he who had defeated and captured this stubborn King just half an hour earlier.
I've had a migraine for three days straight, it's driving me crazy. I was forced to go to bed really early last night.
I'll write a long chapter today to make up for it, brothers.
Thank you for your support.
