Rogue Encampment and Service to Sun Fei

Elena grew up in the demon-infested Diablo World and fought to defend the Rogue Encampment from the time she could wield a bow. Kashya assigned her to accompany Sun Fei, making her service part of the camp’s effort to secure an adventurer’s assistance. She initially expected exploitation: the Rogues’ stories described mercenaries being sacrificed as bait or living shields 33 36 37 206.

Sun Fei instead bought her equipment and placed himself between her and attacking monsters. During their early exploration, Elena discovered the body of Nina, a seventeen-year-old companion who had disappeared while searching for food. After Sun Fei buried Nina, Elena preserved the seeds found on her body and fought the remaining demons with renewed fury. Her grief helped Sun Fei recognize Diablo World’s inhabitants as living people rather than game characters 34 35.

Her willingness to sacrifice herself nevertheless persisted. During the mission to rescue Cain in Tristram, she advanced into enemy arrow fire despite being wounded, urging Sun Fei to complete the rescue without her 37.

Arrival in Chambord and Recognition

Sun Fei’s Summon skill allowed Elena to enter the World of Light. She fell in love with Chambord’s peaceful landscape, studied its customs and political circumstances, and relayed information to Akara and Kashya. Initially, she was the only Rogue Encampment resident Sun Fei could summon 81 83.

Sun Fei deliberately gave her an opportunity to establish herself before Chambord’s leaders by fighting two injured Four-Star saber wielders. Without moving from her position, Elena froze both men solid and shattered them with ordinary arrows, publicly demonstrating that she was far more than the king’s companion 135.

The Mercenary Strength Stacking reward later forced incompatible elemental powers into her body, nearly killing her. Akara’s healing could not stop the conflict, and Sun Fei carried her to a secluded chamber to intervene. Elena ultimately survived and gained the powers of the other six mercenaries. Their relationship also became openly romantic during this period 143 145.

She subsequently defended Chambord alongside Brook and represented the city in the Empire Ranking Competition. Her victory over Kanute secured Chambord a place in the top four 206 207 336.

Twin Flag City and Recovery

Outside Twin Flag City, Elena supported Sun Fei against the Snow Mountain Hermit’s enormous palm attack. She refused to withdraw, continuing to fire arrows and use Prayer even though her attacks could not penetrate the palm’s overwhelming power 442 528.

She later lay unconscious with a damaged soul. Sun Fei’s search beneath Twin Flag City led him to a Soulstone that helped save both Elena and Angela. Once Elena’s soul was repaired, Diablo World’s laws could locate her again and forcibly returned her to the Rogue Encampment because she had exceeded her permitted time outside it 528 1171.

During her coma, Elena experienced a strange, cold world in which Angela was the only other person who felt real. The two shared their memories of Sun Fei and encouraged each other while waiting for rescue. After awakening, Elena resumed training despite her weakness and chose to continue fighting so that she and Sun Fei could protect Angela together 530 531.

Marriage and Defense of Chambord

After defeating Duriel, Sun Fei gave Elena M’avina’s Caster Grand Matron Bow and arranged a proposal in the Rogue Encampment with fireworks and a bouquet. The camp’s residents interrupted to tease the couple and demand a betrothal gift 570.

On the morning of the wedding, Elena joined Sun Fei and Angela in honoring Chambord’s former kings and fallen defenders. She appeared publicly as one of the king’s two queens, wearing a flame-red dress and M’avina’s True Sight Diadem 645 648.

During the wedding-night conflict, she healed wounded Chambord Saints and attempted to intercept an assassin targeting Angela. Later, acting on Brook’s orders to defend the royal city, she defeated Albelda and handed the nearly dead captive over to Garcia for delivery to Sun Fei 666 671 672 840.

Expedition Against the Goblins

As supreme commander of the expeditionary force, Elena directed its defenses against a numerically superior goblin army. She ordered senior fighters to secure the camp with Fist Intent Spiritual Imprints, shot down four goblin demigods, and fought two True God-level goblins with a spear, killing one with a thrust through the head 1373 1561.

The expedition advanced toward Iduna City, and Elena gained renown for killing more than thirty goblin experts. On the Westfalen Great Grassland, however, the Goblin God King Poldiğa forced her into a desperate battle. Sun Fei’s distant sword qi killed Poldiğa and more than fifty goblin True Gods, saving her force 1569.

Elena later accompanied Sun Fei to a jade-green mountain, where four God King-level goblins ambushed them. She held one opponent at bay with her longbow before being wounded. Sun Fei healed her, but the goblins regrouped and trapped the pair in a combined attack 1401 1589.

Elena is slightly shorter than Sun Fei, with a tall, shapely build, fair skin, and a pronounced warrior’s bearing 33.

In battle, she is ruthless, observant, and exceptionally composed. Outside combat, she can be gentle and emotionally vulnerable: Nina’s death overwhelms her, while small gifts from Sun Fei move her deeply.
