Ming Zhao turned Yu Mengdi into his submissive Divine Chosen of Original Sin, then pursued the Sun Moon Team and recovered his Sword of Judgment. The team blamed the Star Luo Empire for Ma Rulong’s murder and fled, hoping to report the attack to their dean.

• Yu Mengdi awakened as a Fallen Angel, accepted Ming Zhao’s dress, and pledged to submit to him forever.
• Ming Zhao bestowed the Narcissus Jade Muscle Bone upon Yu Mengdi and took her with him to pursue the Sun Moon Team.

Ming Zhao took Yu Mengdi away to absorb an Immortal Herb, while Jing Hongchen learned that Ma Rulong had been murdered and his Soul Tools stolen. Jing Hongchen reached an agreement with the Sun Moon Emperor, then returned home to find Xiao Hongchen and Meng Hongchen sitting silently in the dark.

• Yu Mengdi called Ming Zhao wicked, and he ordered her to learn from his cruelty before taking her away to absorb an Immortal Herb.
• Xiao Hongchen told Jing Hongchen that a Titled Douluo had killed Ma Rulong and stolen his Storage Soul Tool on the journey home.
• Jing Hongchen ordered ten times the usual compensation and a grand funeral for Ma Rulong, and promised to carve his epitaph.

Jing Hongchen learned that Meng Hongchen had fallen in love with Ming Zhao and feared she had been deceived, but two extraordinary Soul Bones convinced him that Ming Zhao was sincere. He accepted Meng Hongchen’s choice and looked forward to meeting Ming Zhao when he came to Mingdu.

• Meng Hongchen told Jing Hongchen she was in love, and Jing Hongchen angrily blamed Xiao Hongchen for not watching over her.
• Jing Hongchen stopped when Meng Hongchen revealed two powerful Soul Bones and said Ming Zhao had given them to her.
• Jing Hongchen examined the Soul Bones, recognized their extraordinary power, and agreed that they could strengthen or evolve Meng Hongchen’s Vermilion-Eyed Ice Toad Martial Soul.

Ming Zhao brought Yu Mengdi to Mingdu, where he heard about the Sun Moon Empire’s clashes with Dai Hao and the empire’s reactions to the tournament. He then took Yu Mengdi to the Ordinary Alliance to see whether Shangguan Wei'er had recruited Ye Guyi.

• Yu Mengdi soothed Ming Zhao’s anger after she absorbed her Soul Ring, and he took her through a spatial gate to Mingdu.
• The Sun Moon Empire bombarded Dai Hao’s forces with Level 7 Fixed Soul Guidance Shells, then its Imperial Dragon and Dreadclaw Soul Engineer legions routed the Northwest Army Group and forced Dai Hao to retreat into the Ming Dou Mountain Range.
• Xu Jiawei punished Dai Hao after his defeats, while the Sun Moon Empire halted its attacks rather than risk starting a war early.
• Ming Zhao heard Sun Moon Empire citizens discuss the border clashes, the Sun Moon Team’s victory, and Shrek Academy’s absence from the tournament.
• Ming Zhao took Yu Mengdi to the Ordinary Alliance to check whether Shangguan Wei'er had recruited Ye Guyi.

Ming Zhao confirmed that Ye Guyi was being trained by the Ordinary Alliance and secretly marked her, planning to corrupt her later. He returned to his Mingdu courtyard with Yu Mengdi, where he warned her against challenging his authority and ordered her to wait for him hungry.

• Ming Zhao searched the Ordinary Alliance and found Shangguan Wei'er managing its affairs while Ye Guyi practiced carving a Core Array in a research facility.
• Ming Zhao decided to leave Ye Guyi alone for now, secretly branded her Sea of Consciousness, and departed with Yu Mengdi.

Ming Zhao convinced Jing Hongchen that he was the last survivor of the Tang Sect’s Breaking Clan and a lone wanderer. Jing Hongchen believed his story and welcomed him into the Sun Moon Empire under his protection.

• Ming Zhao met Jing Hongchen, who praised his apparent Soul Power cultivation and asked why he had claimed to be a lone wanderer.
• Ming Zhao brought up the Tang Sect and revealed a spear, leading Jing Hongchen to suspect he had Twin Martial Souls.
• Ming Zhao claimed the spear was the Breaking Clan’s Soul Breaking Spear and described the Tang Sect’s decline and the Breaking Clan’s destruction.
