"Ha ha, I got lucky today." Big Mouth Ghost immediately stepped forward and reached out to grab Mu Rufeng.
Mu Rufeng did not resist, allowing Big Mouth Ghost to drag him into Room 302.
Click! The door shut.
The layout of Room 302 was almost identical to Room 301.
It was just that the beds here seemed to all be occupied.
Moreover, the scene inside this dormitory was somewhat strange.
Three bizarre-looking oddities sat around a table.
Each held a hand of cards, playing a silent game.
Of the three oddities, two had cigarettes dangling from their mouths, while the other chewed betel nut.
There was not the slightest stench in the entire dormitory; it had all been smothered beneath the smell of smoke.
When Big Head Ghost brought Mu Rufeng into the room, the three oddities all turned to look over at the same time.
"A living human?" one oddity with a slit opened atop his head exclaimed.
The other two immediately lit up, abandoning their cards as they rose to their feet.
"Heh heh, I'm not keeping this living human all to myself. I want his head, plus one thigh."
"You three can split the rest. Then the debt I owe you will be wiped clean. What do you say?" Da Tou said with a chuckle.
They spoke very quietly—so quietly that even someone pressing an ear against the door outside would not have been able to hear them.
The three oddities exchanged glances and nodded in unison.
They had witnessed Big Mouth Ghost's tireless efforts all night.
They had not held out any hope to begin with, yet somehow he had actually pulled it off.
Since they could sit at home and feast to their hearts' content, they did not mind writing off the gambling money he had lost.
"I want one thigh and one arm."
"Then I want one arm and half his body."
"Then I'll take the loss. I only want the heart and the remaining half of the body."
The three oddities finished dividing him up in an instant.
"Say, have you already finished dividing up my body?" Mu Rufeng slowly asked.
"This living human is really quite bold."
"How could he not be? He was strong enough to beat the vending machine to pieces."
"Strong? Could he be stronger than us? Hmph. If that vending machine hadn't shut down after work, I'd have robbed it long ago."
At that moment, Big Mouth Ghost said, "Then I'll take his head first."
As soon as the words fell, Big Mouth Ghost's huge mouth abruptly doubled in size and lunged straight for Mu Rufeng's head.
From the look of it, he intended to bite Mu Rufeng's head off in one mouthful.
Mu Rufeng said nothing. He extended his right hand and, with speed too swift to cover one's ears, seized Big Mouth Ghost by the throat.
Then, before Big Mouth Ghost could react, Mu Rufeng squeezed hard. Big Mouth Ghost's entire body immediately stiffened.
At some point, Mu Rufeng's left hand had already pressed down on Big Mouth Ghost's head.
With only a slight exertion of force, Mu Rufeng gave Big Mouth Ghost's head a full five-hundred-and-forty-degree turn.
In an instant, the stink from that foul mouth weakened considerably.
Mu Rufeng opened his mouth, revealing sharp fangs, then bit down on Big Mouth Ghost's neck.
The blood-red gleam in Mu Rufeng's eyes deepened further.
As he drank blood, he looked toward the three oddities ahead.
The sight was exceedingly sinister and terrifying.
The three oddities were stunned by what they saw.
What was going on? What was this living human doing?
Fangs? A living human had fangs?
"A zombie! Isn't he a living human? How is he a zombie?" one oddity said.
"A zombie? How could there be zombies in the Oddity World? Have any of you heard of them?"
"I've seen corpse ghosts, but I've never seen a zombie with fangs that drank blood."
The three were truly frightened by Mu Rufeng's terrifying appearance.
Although Big Mouth Ghost was the weakest in the dormitory, he had not even had room to resist before being drained dry of blood.
His originally scrawny body had been drained of blood and energy until it resembled a desiccated corpse, a horrifying sight indeed.
Mu Rufeng casually tossed Big Mouth Ghost's corpse onto the floor.
"Your turn. I hope the blood in your bodies doesn't have any strange taste."
Mu Rufeng licked his lips and stared viciously at the three oddities.
"Kid, don't think that just because you killed Big Mouth, you—"
One oddity had barely begun to speak when Mu Rufeng's figure suddenly vanished.
The next second, he felt a palm cover his shoulder and another cover his right ear.
Tremendous force bore down upon his shoulder and head.
His head involuntarily tilted left, while his shoulder sank, perfectly exposing his neck.
Not good. The oddity was greatly alarmed, and a dense black mist swiftly rose from within his body.
Yet Mu Rufeng's fangs still sank into the oddity's neck without the slightest obstruction.
The oddity's body instantly stiffened, leaving him unable to move at all.
Mu Rufeng narrowed his eyes, thoroughly enjoying the moment of drinking blood.
The other two oddities beside him were greatly startled and immediately pulled away.
Then they came to their senses and flew into a rage. Without even needing to speak, the two attacked Mu Rufeng at the same time.
The oddity on the left thrust out his belly. Then a huge mouth appeared and spat out a mouthful of dark-green, bubbling corrosive liquid.
Before the gastric acid could splatter, the bandages around Mu Rufeng suddenly surged forth and interwove into an airtight shield.
The gastric acid poured over the bandages, but with a slight rebound from them, it actually flew back along its original path and splashed directly onto that oddity.
The bandages, meanwhile, remained completely undamaged.
The oddity on the right had, at some point, pulled the knife embedded in his head free and viciously slashed at Mu Rufeng's neck.
Mu Rufeng did not move and continued drinking blood.
Clang! A crisp sound rang throughout the dormitory.
"Ahhhh!" Gastric Acid Ghost was drenched in his own gastric acid. The intense pain made him forget the rules, and he cried out loudly.
"H-how is this possible?" Knife Ghost stared at the mere white mark his cleaver had left on Mu Rufeng's neck, so shocked that he was utterly speechless.
His cleaver was extraordinarily sharp. Against ordinary oddities, it could sever a body with a single stroke.
Yet now, it could not even break the skin on a living human's neck?
Knife Ghost refused to believe it. He drew back his cleaver and swung again, this time aiming for the back of Mu Rufeng's head.
Just as the cleaver was about to strike, a hand suddenly clamped firmly around its blade.
"Your knife is not bad. It belongs to me now!" Mu Rufeng snatched the cleaver straight from Knife Ghost's hand.
Resentful Cleaver: This cleaver carried the powerful resentment of a certain woman. It wanted to kill every man. Effect: Exceptionally sharp and hard. It could slowly repair itself when damaged, and increased damage against men by fifty percent.
