A total of five precautions left Mu Rufeng somewhat stunned.
The Fearless attribute made Mu Rufeng's mind exceptionally active.
The first point was easy to understand: do not smash the goods; keep them intact.
As long as he was careful, that would naturally be easy to accomplish.
The second point was to stack the goods neatly according to certain specifications. As for that, Mu Rufeng would have to determine it himself.
The third point was that he could not drag things out. He had to finish unloading at the fastest possible speed. If he was too slow, something bad would probably happen.
He did not know the exact time limit. The employees themselves were probably supposed to figure it out.
The fourth point: the driver asking for benefits? Was that basically extortion?
The fifth point was rather interesting.
He had to refuse if others proactively offered to help, yet he could ask others for help.
Wasn't that contradictory?
For the time being, Mu Rufeng suppressed his thoughts. The most urgent matter now was to unload this truckload of goods.
The loading and unloading worker precautions had made it very clear: he had to finish unloading the goods as quickly as possible.
Mu Rufeng did not know the time limit, so he could only go fast, faster, fastest!
When he had worked loading and unloading jobs at Scarlet Preferred in the real world,
if there were two people, it took a little over two hours to unload a semi-trailer.
With three people, it took about an hour and a half.
If there was only one person, he had never done it himself, but he estimated that it would take at least five hours.
Five hours to unload? By then, the yellow flowers would have gone cold.
Mu Rufeng reached out and grabbed one side of the goods. With a light tug, he removed a case of Scarlet Eyeball.
According to the label, one bottle of Scarlet Eyeball held a full 1.5 liters.
There were twelve bottles in one case, making eighteen liters in total, equivalent to thirty-two jin.
Holding thirty-two jin in his hands, Mu Rufeng felt as though he were carrying foam—exceptionally light.
This was the immense strength granted by the Zombie Template cheat.
Mu Rufeng immediately stacked the case properly. Then he stood up, raised both hands, grabbed a case in each hand, and swiftly began unloading.
Just as Mu Rufeng was loading and unloading, inside the cab of the truck,
a pitch-black figure abruptly opened his eyes.
He raised his head and glanced at the central rearview mirror. At some point, a countdown had appeared on it.
1:59:55
Two hours. So the unloading time limit was two hours.
That pitch-black figure was seated in the driver's seat. Clearly, he was the driver of this truck.
The driver did not get out, or rather, he still could not get out.
He merely raised his head, his eyes fixed firmly on the countdown in the rearview mirror.
The pallets at Scarlet Preferred were rather wide and could hold fourteen cases. They could be stacked four layers high, for a total of fifty-six cases.
In just two minutes, Mu Rufeng had stacked one pallet of goods. His speed could be called extremely fast.
He worked with both hands, and the goods were light as a feather, pushing his speed to its limit.
Nor did he need to worry about the goods being damaged, because that layer of film, made from who knew what material, was incredibly tough.
Mu Rufeng did not delay. He immediately slid a pallet jack beneath it and was just about to drag it out when he discovered that the goods had spread apart somewhat.
That way, even the slightest jolt could cause the goods to collapse.
"Almost forgot—I still need to wrap them in stretch film, or the goods will topple over easily." Mu Rufeng set down the pallet jack and immediately walked into the warehouse.
After looking around, he spotted some stretch film in the left-hand corner.
Mu Rufeng walked over and found a rule written on the wall beside it.
Stretch Film Usage Guidelines 1. Ten soul coins must be paid for each roll of stretch film taken. 2. Newly appointed loading and unloading workers may take one roll for free. 3. Please keep your stretch film safe. 4. Other than loading and unloading workers, do not lend your stretch film to anyone else.
Mu Rufeng pondered carefully, then committed those rules to memory.
Without any hesitation, Mu Rufeng took a roll of stretch film and headed toward the truck.
Although he did not know what soul coins were, he had better unload the goods first.
After returning to the truck, he wrapped the goods with several layers of stretch film. Then, gripping the film in one hand and pulling the pallet jack with the other, he headed toward the warehouse.
He glanced at the Tentacle Oddity nearby, who was also dragging a pallet of goods, and found that he had simply placed it in an open area in front of the warehouse.
Mu Rufeng also placed his nearby.
He knew that before the goods had been received, they could not be pulled into the warehouse for storage.
Although this Scarlet Preferred was somewhat bizarre, it was still very similar to the Preferred stores outside.
The large open area in front of the warehouse was meant for goods that had not yet been received.
Just as Mu Rufeng was pulling the pallet jack and preparing to return to the truck compartment to unload more goods, he saw the loading and unloading worker, the Tentacle Oddity, walk over.
"You're the new loading and unloading worker, right? Hello, my name is An Lu," the Tentacle Oddity, An Lu, introduced himself.
"Mm, I'm Mu Rufeng." One did not strike a smiling face, so Mu Rufeng introduced himself as well.
"There are only the two of us loading and unloading workers in the entire Liquor Warehouse. We should help each other," An Lu said.
"Mm, you're right. We should help each other." Mu Rufeng nodded.
"Oh, right. Let me remind you: the unloading time is two hours. If you can't finish, you can come find me for help."
An Lu smiled, then turned and left.
Mu Rufeng watched An Lu depart, deep in thought.
Returning to the truck, Mu Rufeng began unloading the second pallet of goods.
In the blink of an eye, ten minutes passed.
Mu Rufeng placed the fifth pallet of goods down and returned to the truck compartment.
Just as he was about to continue unloading, he suddenly sensed that something was wrong.
For some reason, the truck compartment had become colder.
Mu Rufeng was no longer afraid of the cold, but he could still clearly feel that the compartment had grown colder.
Even the slime beneath his feet had become increasingly abundant, making sizzling sounds whenever he walked.
Mu Rufeng paid it no mind and continued unloading.
Even when some indescribable sounds reached his ears, Mu Rufeng ignored them.
In the blink of an eye, another half hour passed.
More than half of the truck compartment was already empty.
Mu Rufeng stacked another pallet of goods and dragged it with the pallet jack. Just as he was about to leave, footsteps suddenly sounded behind him.
Mu Rufeng turned his head and saw a black shadow walking over from the rear of the truck.
"Hm? Why are you unloading so fast?"
The black shadow was immediately shocked.
The person was not tall, only around 1.7 meters. His entire body was shrouded in thick black mist, and one could barely make out a human shape.
"Fast? I thought I was being slow. I'm almost done unloading." Mu Rufeng spoke as he exerted force with both hands and pulled the pallet outside.
"Fast, too fast. How are you unloading this fast?" Yet the black shadow blocked Mu Rufeng's way.
"Who are you? Move aside. I need to drag these goods out," Mu Rufeng said.
It seemed the black shadow could not refuse Mu Rufeng's words. He actually obediently moved to the side.
"I'm the truck driver, Chang Feng," the black shadow said.
