Lumine agreed to seek out the adepti so they would confront the Qixing and give her a chance to investigate the Geo Archon's death. After Childe left, Bai You confessed to Varesa that she knew many things about the future, and Varesa comforted her.

• Childe explained that Lumine could bring the adepti down from the mountains and become their messenger, and Lumine agreed to find them.
• Childe named the four adepti whose locations could be traced and told Lumine he would wait two days for word.
• Childe insisted he would obtain the Tsaritsa's target and challenged Bai You to fight him again after his plans were settled.
• Bai You warned Childe that his plan would fail because Liyue's affairs were deeper than he realized, but he remained determined.
• Childe told Bai You and Varesa to stay at the Northland Bank while the Millelith watched the streets.
• Varesa comforted Bai You after Bai You admitted she knew many things that were going to happen.

Childe gave Lumine a Sigil of Permission so she could seek the adepti, while he arranged a meeting with someone who could help her see Rex Lapis’s Exuvia. At the Liuli Pavilion, Bai You recognized the man Childe brought as Zhongli.

• Childe caught up with Lumine and gave her the Sigil of Permission, explaining that it would let her enter the adepti’s abodes.
• Lumine accepted the sigil, warned Childe not to use her, and left to investigate his claims herself.
• Over the next two days, Lumine visited Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, and Cloud Retainer; Mountain Shaper and Cloud Retainer agreed to come down the mountain.
• Childe arranged rooms at the Northland Bank for Bai You and Varesa and later invited them, Lumine, and Paimon to a banquet at the Liuli Pavilion.
• Childe arrived at the banquet with a slender man, and Bai You recognized him as Zhongli.

Zhongli recruited Lumine and the others to help prepare the Rite of Parting, which would let them see the Lord of Geo’s divine form. Bai You supported Zhongli’s decision to lay down his burden, and the group began gathering ritual items, starting with Noctilucous Jade.

• Childe introduced Zhongli, a Wangsheng Funeral Parlor consultant, to Lumine, Bai You, Varesa, and Paimon.
• Zhongli explained that Liyue needed a Rite of Parting and offered to lead it while gathering the required items with Lumine’s help.
• Zhongli asked Bai You whether someone who had carried a burden for too long should set it down, and she told him the people he protected could now walk on their own.
• The next day, Lumine, Zhongli, Bai You, and Varesa visited Jade Mystery to buy high-grade Noctilucous Jade for the rite.

Ningguang explained to Lumine that the Qixing had hidden Rex Lapis’s body to protect Liyue from the Fatui, and warned her that Childe was pursuing the Gnosis. As the Rite of Parting approached, Bai You feared the disaster she knew was coming, but Varesa comforted her and promised to stay by her side.

• Ningguang told Lumine that she had concealed Rex Lapis’s body to protect Liyue and revealed that the Fatui were making counterfeit Sigils of Permission linked to a seal beneath Guyun Stone Forest.
• Ningguang said the Qixing were not Lumine’s enemies and pledged to support the Rite of Parting, while Lumine promised to stop Childe if he made a move.
• Lumine confronted Bai You, who warned her that Childe wanted the Gnosis and would oppose her once he failed to obtain it.
• Lumine decided to finish the Rite of Parting before dealing with Childe, while Bai You privately anticipated that Osial would rise and the Jade Chamber would be sacrificed.

The adepti confronted the Qixing over Rex Lapis's death while Childe attacked the Golden House, searching the Exuvia for the Gnosis. After Lumine defeated him, Childe discovered the Gnosis was missing and suspected the Geo Archon had never died.

• Moon Carver, Mountain Shaper, and Cloud Retainer confronted the Qixing at Yujing Terrace, demanding access to Rex Lapis's body.
• Bai You warned Varesa that someone might exploit the standoff, while Zhongli helped Lumine realize Childe was heading for the Golden House.
• Lumine and Paimon rushed to the Golden House, and Bai You and Varesa followed.
• Childe fought Lumine in the vault, then slipped past her to search Rex Lapis's Exuvia for the Gnosis.

Childe fought Lumine in his Foul Legacy form, but she shattered his armor and defeated him. After discovering the Gnosis was missing, Childe concluded Rex Lapis was alive and revealed his plan to unleash Osial.

• Childe used his Delusion to transform into Foul Legacy and attacked Lumine, sending her crashing into a pillar.
• Lumine endured Childe's attacks and struck through a crack in his failing armor, breaking the transformation and leaving them both exhausted.
• Bai You and Varesa rushed down from the gallery to help Lumine as Childe recovered and noticed the adeptus vessel was empty.
• Childe concluded Rex Lapis was alive and had hidden the Gnosis, then said he would force the Geo Archon out of hiding.
• Childe revealed replica Sigils of Permission and announced that he intended to open the seal beneath Guyun Stone Forest and release Osial.

Childe broke the seal beneath the Golden House and released Osial, throwing Liyue Harbor into chaos. Bai You briefly suppressed the Archon, but Zhongli intervened and revealed that Osial was a trial meant to show whether Liyue could protect itself; Bai You agreed to stand aside as the battle at the Jade Chamber began.

• Childe used the imitation Sigils of Permission and his power to break the seal, releasing Osial from the seabed.
• Osial’s rise flooded the docks, while the Millelith evacuated civilians and held a defensive line; Lumine hurried to the Jade Chamber.
• Bai You used half her Primordial Power of the Light Realm to pin Osial down, astonishing Childe with her strength.
• Zhongli shattered Bai You’s suppression and explained that he had feigned his death and allowed Osial’s release to test Liyue’s people.

Lumine and Liyue’s defenders fought Osial on the Jade Chamber, then used the Guizhong Ballista to wound the archon before Osial destroyed it in a furious counterattack. With the weapon gone and Liyue still in danger, Ningguang prepared to sacrifice the Jade Chamber to protect the harbor.

• Lumine joined Ningguang, the Qixing, the adepti, and Xiao in defending the Jade Chamber from Osial’s endless tentacles.
• Cloud Retainer proposed restoring the Guizhong Ballista, and Ningguang agreed as the defenders combined their powers to fire it at Osial.
• The ballista pierced Osial’s main tentacles, but Childe warned that the wounded archon would become more dangerous.
• Osial launched a fierce counterattack and destroyed the Guizhong Ballista despite the defenders’ efforts to protect it.
• Ningguang looked from her cherished palace to the endangered people of Liyue Harbor and declared that the Jade Chamber’s purpose was to fall for Liyue.

Ningguang and Liyue’s defenders sacrificed the Jade Chamber to seal Osial, but the wounded Archon escaped into the deep sea. Zhongli told Bai You that his test was over and asked her to use her strength against the future threat.

• Ningguang gathered the power of Keqing, Ganyu, the adepti, Xiao, and Lumine into the Jade Chamber and sent it crashing down on Osial.
• The Jade Chamber’s impact drove Osial beneath the sea, but the seal failed to close as the exhausted defenders struggled to hold it in place.
• Osial broke free of the wreckage and fled into the deep sea, leaving Liyue’s defenders shaken by the failed sealing attempt.
• Childe admitted that the creature he had released had escaped, and Zhongli said Osial would return after lying dormant for decades.
• Zhongli told Bai You that Liyue had passed his test and asked her to make her move against the future threat.
