"That's strange, how come the passageway moves along with the planet?"
"Let me think about it, let me think about it."
"You'd better hurry, the swarm's output has already increased to 23, and it's still increasing. We don't know how many units of the queen will descend this time."
"High-dimensional passage, high-dimensional passage, I understand. This is the same principle as our four-dimensional passage. Our four-dimensional passage is also similar to the high-dimensional exit of the swarm. Our passage exit is located inside the ship. No matter where the warship moves, the space inside the warship moves with it, and the four-dimensional space can always remain in its original position."
"We just moved the planet of the Eastern Pearl Civilization. Because the space distortion of our warships included the high-dimensional portal of the insect swarm, the space where the portal is located will also move along with the planet."
"So what do we do now? Our warships can't get too close to the planet's surface and activate their warp drives, or they'll tear the planet apart. Besides, several exits are located near the planet's surface, so even if the warships dock on the planet's surface, it won't work. Or, how about we use the Reaper to push the planet away from its original position?"
"No, Academician Zeng said that celestial bodies fix a portion of space. For example, Earth has an atmosphere, and planets fix their atmospheres, which means they also fix that portion of space. So even if we use conventional engines to push the planet away, we can't change the exit location. We were too simplistic at first. We didn't realize that we can't do anything without the academicians. If the academicians were here, they would have solved it very easily."
"How about we find a way to destroy the higher-dimensional channel?"
"Our current capabilities might be able to disrupt higher-dimensional portals, but this planet can't withstand it. Let's wait and see if this planet can withstand the swarm's invasion. If all else fails, we can send down RoboCop, or wait for the Patrols and Destroyers to arrive; perhaps they have a solution."
"I reckon they'll have a hard time holding out. Look, they've added a dozen or so more exits in just a little while. We only had 13 exits to begin with, otherwise you and I would have been eaten by the bugs long ago."
"I'm lucky to be alive; I wouldn't feed myself to insects."
The two chatted casually. At this point, the life and death of other civilizations were completely in their own hands. Although they couldn't separate the higher-dimensional portal from the planet, as long as the RoboCop went down, they could easily stop the spread of the swarm. Even if more swarms came, it would be useless; they would only increase the mass of the planet.
"Your Majesty, the alien swarm has increased to 35, and the number continues to rise. Our entire military has been deployed, but it's still a drop in the ocean. I request permission to use nuclear weapons," the Minister of Military Affairs said.
"Nuclear bombs are extremely dangerous to our planet. Is there no other way?"
"Your Majesty, we have deployed all our troops and tanks, and used all our spare ammunition. We don't know how long we can hold out. I have already ordered the Ministry of Industry to send a large quantity of fuel oil over by transport plane, in preparation for burning these insects to death."
"Let's hold on for now. We can't use nuclear weapons on our planet unless absolutely necessary."
"Your Majesty, what I'm most worried about isn't the insects. No matter how many insects there are, we can mobilize the entire population and cut them all down with knives. But these aerial fleets are definitely beyond our current technological capabilities to contend with."
"Send radio waves to try and contact these extraterrestrial civilizations, to see what they really want. Send more information so they can better interpret our meaning."
"Will it be of any use, Führer?"
"Let's try it. If they keep hovering above us, even if we wipe out all the bugs, it won't help. Their fleet is simply too large; it completely blocks out the light of stars."
"Okay, I'll arrange it right away."
The Eastern Pearl Civilization also used electromagnetic waves for long-distance communication, which is a common means of communication in the early stages of almost all technological civilizations. The development of all civilizations is determined by the rules of the universe, and the simplest things are often the easiest to master. For example, electromagnetic waves and light waves are generally the first choice for long-distance communication in lower-level civilizations.
"Respected extraterrestrial visitors, welcome to the planet Eastern Pearl Civilization. Your arrival is a great honor for us, and your power is awe-inspiring. We wonder what brings you to Eastern Pearl Civilization? We, the Eastern Pearl Civilization, are willing to dedicate the full strength of our civilization to serving you."
" Old Hu, you're putting on quite a show of humility. You're clearly insisting that we released the swarm, yet you're behaving so obsequiously. It's truly laughable."
Everything in the Eastern Pearl Civilization has been secretly taken over by miniature spaceships. This kind of low-level civilization's network system intrusion doesn't even require an academician; any ordinary intelligent computer can easily accomplish it.
However, once a civilization reaches a certain level, it becomes extremely difficult to invade. Even some high-level Stellar-Level Civilization have encryption methods that are almost unbreakable. Most civilizations will complete this process after reaching the Star System Level. Even if you take their planet by force, it is impossible to decipher their technology tree. You can only reverse-engineer it bit by bit, like deciphering a warship.
This has nothing to do with civilization level. A higher-level civilization is not necessarily able to infiltrate the computer system of a lower-level civilization. It is a mathematical problem. Just like humanity now, even if the core computer were given to Great Star Region Civilization, they would not be able to infiltrate it. However, even so, the core of the fleet still has multiple layers of physical defense.
However, there are always exceptions. Take the Mu Star Civilization, for example. Their encryption method used a prime number with a value of 100 trillion trillion digits, supplemented by other complex encryption methods. They thought this would make them absolutely secure, without any physical layer of defense. But the human fleet arrived too quickly, killing all the Mu Star People on the planet in an instant and obtaining very useful information. With the efforts of human scientists and supercomputers, combined with bits and pieces of ordinary information, their technology was deciphered in just two years.
Deciphering codes is both a skill and an art. Clearly, the Mu Star Civilization lacked the necessary artistic skill. However, the information obtained from their civilian networks proved invaluable in deciphering other encryption methods.
"Your Excellency, they have replied!"
"Speak quickly."
"They say they didn't release the swarms; they are the rulers of this star system and are trying to figure out how to deal with the swarm problem for us. However, they haven't come up with a suitable solution yet, so we have to fight it ourselves."
"They didn't release the insects?"
"Your Majesty, do you believe it?"
"I cannot give a definite answer. Logically speaking, given their strength, dealing with the Zerg swarm should be a piece of cake. Why haven't they made a move yet? But they have no reason to deceive us; with their power, such deception is meaningless. Regardless of the truth, we can only rely on ourselves. We must mobilize the entire planet's inhabitants and act together. The Zerg may be numerous, but they are weak. Killing them is easy. For our home, let's fight together."
"Your Majesty, intelligence reports that the Separatist Faction has become active again, spreading rumors that Your Majesty's rule is cursed by heaven, and even plotting to assassinate Your Majesty and me, as well as various ministers and high-ranking officials."
"Have my guards coordinate with the intelligence department. At this critical moment, instead of protecting our homeland, they're disregarding the lives of the entire population for their own selfish interests. Execute the emergency military order: anyone involved, if the evidence is conclusive, execute them on the spot without approval. I thought letting them go would make them repent, but instead, they not only show no remorse but also take advantage of the chaos. Kill them! We must kill them until they're terrified before things stabilize. Don't worry about public opinion; I'll take responsibility for anything!"
"Your Excellency, I've been waiting for you to say that. These vermin are even more disgusting than insects. I'll go and issue the order right away."
