"Looks like you've got it set up?"
Duan Ming glanced at the bomb fixed to the wall.
He didn't know how powerful the bomb was.
But it was attached to a load-bearing column. Once it exploded, the entire building would collapse.
"Yeah, just about. Did you need something?"
"No, I'm just looking. Carry on."
As she watched the youth turn and head upstairs, the woman smiled wickedly. "You're already here, and now you want to leave?"
Hearing that, Duan Ming took to his heels.
Was she kidding?
Judging by the Qi radiating from her, she was definitely no ordinary person.
But the woman clearly wasn't going to let him leave.
She glanced at the bomb, which was more or less secured, and chased after him.
When she reached the second floor, Duan Ming jumped straight down without a second thought. He rolled as he landed, absorbing most of the recoil.
"Pretty fast."
The woman glanced at a young man standing by the stairwell above, but ignored him and jumped down from the second floor.
Compared to the young man standing there in a daze, unable to move, the youth who could run and jump seemed more appealing to her.
"Pretty fast."
"Not bad-looking, either. A little young, but I like that."
Duan Ming frowned slightly.
Did this woman have designs on him?
She was certainly attractive, but he just couldn't bring himself to like that head of braids.
Duan Ming looked around, picked a direction, and sprinted.
Whoosh!
The woman appeared in front of him, blocking his path.
He then tried to leave in different directions.
But every time, the woman blocked his way.
She's at least as fast as I am! Duan Ming thought with a sigh.
He knew that the woman standing before him was a true Divine Power Master.
The young man with two Divine Marks he had defeated before was just an amateur, but this woman was a professional!
Since he couldn't get away...
Shing!
He drew his cold blade with one hand and tossed the sheath aside.
Two Divine Marks lit up, and the Qi around him increased severalfold in an instant.
"Hm? Your Qi's pretty strong." The woman glanced down at the time on her watch. "Then I'll play with you for three minutes."
Duan Ming gripped his blade in both hands, his eyes fixed ahead. His body compressed like a spring, then burst with power as he charged straight at the woman.
Strike first to gain the advantage; strike later and suffer for it!
The cold blade thrust forward with a piercing whistle.
But the woman dodged it with a graceful turn.
"So fast!"
The woman wasn't sure whether Duan Ming was a first-year or a second-year.
But even a second-year shouldn't have such fast blade techniques.
Speed like that was impossible without more than ten years of practice, and even that was a conservative estimate.
Had this kid been practicing his blade techniques since kindergarten?
Swish, swish, swish!
He struck several times in one smooth sequence, but the woman dodged every blow.
She had dodged them all, but it hadn't been easy.
The woman gradually began to take him seriously, no longer intending to toy with Duan Ming.
Judging by his skill alone, he was no weaker than her.
His blade was completely shrouded in Qi, and its power was astonishing. If she let her guard down and took a slash, it would be no laughing matter.
Gradually, a green aura of Qi began to radiate from the woman.
"A Divine Power Master with two Divine Marks?"
Duan Ming murmured, knowing the real battle had begun.
Just now, the woman had dodged several of his attacks in succession using only the power of her first Divine Mark.
Now that she was using the power of her second Divine Mark, her speed and strength would increase by a much greater margin than before.
Like the young man he had defeated before, the woman was also a Divine Power Master with two Divine Marks.
But the Qi she possessed far surpassed that young man's.
She was probably at least five times stronger than him, if not more.
"From now on, I'm getting serious."
A cold glint flashed in the woman's eyes, and her figure flickered as she appeared before Duan Ming in an instant.
She attacked repeatedly with both hands. Her nails seemed to be made of iron, producing metallic clangs when they collided with Duan Ming's cold blade.
Duan Ming relied on his movement technique to dodge the woman's attacks, striking back from time to time.
The two exchanged blows back and forth.
But their Qi wasn't on the same scale, and Duan Ming's strength fell somewhat short.
How is this kid so fast?
The woman was deeply puzzled.
By rights, the people living here were all first- and second-year students, so she shouldn't have encountered any powerful opponents.
Yet the youth she had encountered was every bit her equal in skill!
His blade techniques in particular were simply too bizarre.
Like a demonic blade, it always came slashing at her from strange angles.
Although her Qi was stronger than his, after several exchanges, the kid still hadn't exposed the slightest opening.
She couldn't find a single chance to kill him in one blow.
Watching the cold blade fly up and down before her, the woman kicked out with her right foot.
A slender, silver needle flew from the tip of her shoe.
Duan Ming quickly twisted aside to dodge it.
The next second, the woman raised her right hand high and swung it down fiercely.
Rip!
The spray of blood she expected never came.
The woman stared in surprise at the special protective clothing over Duan Ming's chest. "What the heck?"
Duan Ming looked down at the five claw marks on his chest.
That was close!
If not for the protective clothing, his chest might have been a bloody mess by now.
"Qiu Yan, what's going on? Aren't you done yet?"
Hearing the voice in her earpiece, the woman frowned and said, "I ran into a troublesome kid. I'll be there soon, once I've dealt with him."
"Hurry up. Their people might be back before long. When that happens, our only choice will be to take them down with us."
Bang!
A gunshot rang out across the campus.
Fang Cheng stood in the second-floor corridor, his eyes wide. "What the heck? She dodged a bullet!"
"Little brat." The woman turned her cold gaze on Fang Cheng.
Duan Ming glanced at the bullet flickering with electricity on the ground and murmured, "She didn't dodge the bullet. She sensed the danger beforehand and moved out of the way."
But even if she could dodge bullets, it didn't matter.
As long as Fang Cheng was there, she would have to devote some of her attention to him to guard against another sneak attack.
The woman did indeed devote some of her attention to Fang Cheng. She looked at Duan Ming with a conflicted expression.
He clearly had only one Divine Mark, but the Qi he displayed was powerful.
A first- or second-year student shouldn't have that much Qi.
Had he been cultivating Qi since he was three?
Although she could win if they kept fighting, time was short, and there was also a kid with a gun upstairs.
"Looks like I have no choice but to use that method..."
The woman raised her head and looked at Duan Ming.
All of a sudden, Duan Ming felt a powerful sense of danger.
He quickly retreated several steps, putting distance between himself and the woman.
Under the night sky.
The woman's hair rapidly grew from her shoulders to her waist, then trailed onto the ground, still growing without pause.
It didn't stop until it was about three meters long.
The next second, her braids floated into the air as though they had come alive.
A feeling like watching a horror movie welled up in him.
"What the heck!"
"The Power of God!"
"She only has two Divine Marks. How has she awakened the Power of God?!"
