After struggling for more than two hours, Xiaoxue finally found the old CAD machine buried in the corner. Seeing her relieved expression, Yunyi nudged Anna sitting next to him with his elbow and said, "Why do I feel like this girl is acting a bit clumsy today?"
Anna frowned as she looked at Yunyi, somewhat Yunyi as to why he had said that.
"I wrote that spell. I'm right here. I can just rewrite the Activation Sequence for her. Why does she have to go through all that trouble to find that junk?" Yunyi said.
Anna blinked; she seemed to have forgotten about the question as well.
Xiaoxue heard Yunyi's words. Her excitement cooled down as if a bucket of cold water had been poured over her.
Sensing the awkward atmosphere in the living room, Yunyi coughed dramatically. He looked at Xiaoxue and said, "Anyway, the technique is now in your hands. Master it as soon as possible."
Xiaoxue rolled her eyes at Yunyi, then put the CAD file in her pocket before saying, "Don't worry, I'll get used to it as soon as possible. By the way, how did your chat with Captain Chen go?"
"I've arranged for him to lead a team to India to gather intelligence. From now on, you'll be in charge of liaison with him. We can equip them with some of our equipment and let them find an opportunity to test it in actual combat," Yunyi said.
"You're using those Special Operations Team members as an experimental force? Do you think Captain Chen would be willing to do that?" Xiaoxue asked, somewhat uncertainly.
"He's a smart man; he'll convince himself to agree. But you should still be careful. After all, they have some connection with that rat Zhou Gongjin, so don't neglect to keep an eye on them," Yunyi reminded him.
Xiaoxue nodded. She decided to try to win over one or two members of Chen Xiangshan's team to act as informants within the organization.
Just as she was pondering, Yunyi's voice rang out again.
"Now that you're back, dinner's in your hands. I'm going to lie down for a bit longer; wake me up when dinner's ready."
Hearing Yunyi's words, Anna frowned slightly. But before she could speak, Xiaoxue responded and went to the kitchen.
Watching her retreating figure, Anna's expression darkened. She got up and followed her, leaning against the kitchen doorway, and looked at Xiaoxue, who was starting to busy herself, saying, "Didn't you disagree with the engagement? Why are you still taking care of his daily needs?"
Xiaoxue continued working, and softly replied, "This is an agreement between me and his mother, Shen Yi. He helped me break free of my shackles, and I stayed within the alliance to pave the way for his plans. At the same time, when he returns to the Great Asian Alliance, I will become his secretary and help him handle affairs. This includes his daily needs."
"Really? It's not because you're interested in him?" Anna pressed.
Hearing this, Xiaoxue stopped what she was doing. She turned to look at Anna, her face filled with horror. "Are you kidding me? That bastard, am I blind to have fallen for him?"
Anna blinked blankly, somewhat confused. Was Yunyi really that bad?
Xiaoxue's words naturally reached Yunyi's ears as well. However, he didn't care what Xiaoxue thought of him, so he let her say whatever she wanted. Anyway, he was quite comfortable using this secretary, so he would just keep using her as she pleased. He would let her go whenever she wanted to. This was what Shen Yi had told him back then, and he remembered it very clearly.
Dinner was prepared quickly, but the atmosphere at the table was somewhat awkward.
Watching the two pretty girls, both quite attractive, feeding each other so affectionately, Yunyi felt like he had goosebumps that could fill a bowl of rice.
After dinner, Yunyi and Xiaoxue got to work. Anna sat to the side, watching the two of them huddle together discussing things, her head practically filled with question marks.
After the two finalized their plans, Anna finally asked, "Are you serious about this idea?"
Yunyi paused for a moment, then looked at Xiaoxue and said, "Didn't you tell her what we're going to do?"
Xiaoxue shook her head. " Nana is just an ordinary person. I don't want to drag her into this mess. She's with me simply because we're attracted to each other, nothing more."
Yunyi frowned. He glanced at Anna and, through the feedback from his domain, learned about Anna situation.
Calling her an ordinary person wouldn't be entirely accurate. However, Anna's magical abilities were indeed mediocre, and as for her talent, that was none of his concern.
"Choosing to be with you has already drawn me into a whirlpool. Whether you tell her or not is your choice, I won't ask. Things here are almost settled, and I should go back once the military has completely taken over," Yunyi instructed.
Xiaoxue frowned. She wanted to suggest that Yunyi reconsider his relationship with that girl from the Yotsuba in Japan. However, after thinking about it, she realized that this was not something she, as his secretary, should concern herself with, so she swallowed her words.
" The Regrowth of the military might cause some trouble, and there might be small-scale rebellions. How should we handle that?" Xiaoxue asked.
"If there's a rebellion, you decide how to handle it. Don't use those people from the army; after all, they were colleagues, and it will affect morale. Let me think... I'll let the 'Thunder' people handle it. I'll give you command; don't let me down," Yunyi said.
Upon hearing the word "thunder," Xiaoxue's body trembled slightly.
"Should we let them go? Wouldn't that make too much of a commotion?" Xiaoxue asked.
"Too much of a commotion?" Yunyi scoffed. "Isn't this a good thing? We've prepared for so long, shouldn't this first appearance of our trump card thoroughly intimidate those people?"
Xiaoxue glanced at Yunyi silently, inwardly thinking, "This is intimidation? This is bluffing! If those people from 'Lei' show up, they'll scare one or two to death, or at least paralyze many others."
Yunyi was naturally unaware of Xiaoxue's inner thoughts. He greeted the two women, yawned, and went into the guest room.
Looking at Yunyi's lazy demeanor, Anna felt that the powerful impression she had just formed of him was beginning to crack. She glanced at Xiaoxue Xiaoxue, who simply shrugged at her.
The two didn't linger. Xiaoxue knew very well that with the two of them around, Yunyi wouldn't be able to rest properly. However, as she left home, a slight resentment still welled up inside her. After all, this was her home, and now she had to leave; how could she feel comfortable?
