Yunyi's words made Mayumi Saegusa's mood even heavier.
" Mayumi, the way these people interfere with the competition is by tampering with the CAD software. The Seventh High School team was probably targeted in the Chairwoman Watanabe incident using the same method. Mayumi Saegusa responded and relayed what had happened earlier and Yunyi's plan to Katsuto Jumonji.
Katsuto Jumonji has reserved his opinion on this matter for the time being. He hopes to discuss countermeasures face-to-face tomorrow during the day to prevent the students of First High School from being in danger again.
After doing all this, Mayumi Saegusa Nanagusa got up to leave. But before she could make a further move, Yunyi grabbed her arm.
"The hotel might not be safe until those guys are caught. So Mayumi, you'll have to stay here for the next few days."
"Huh?" Mayumi Saegusa was stunned for a moment before she realized what was happening.
" Yunyi-kun, is that really the only reason?" Mayumi Saegusa asked in return.
Yunyi rolled his eyes, wanting to say that she was asking a question she already knew the answer to. However, the attack that had just occurred tonight made him genuinely feel that the hotel might not be safe, which was why he let Mayumi Saegusa stay. Otherwise, if Mayumi Saegusa wanted to leave, he wouldn't have stopped her.
Although Yunyi didn't say much, Mayumi Saegusa still sensed his worry. However, even if she really wanted to stay overnight, she would have to go back and get a change of clothes. "I understand. I'm sorry, I need to know the truth to make the right judgment. I will support your plan as much as possible. I will also urge the players to be more careful. But I hope that you—no, you, Liu Yunyi —will stop using the students of First High School as bait."
Katsuto Jumonji's tone was very serious; clearly, he had a strong opinion about Yunyi's inaction and passive-aggressive behavior during the previous Mari Watanabe incident.
Yunyi nodded.
He had nothing to explain about Mari Watanabe's matter. Katsuto Jumonji's current attitude was also within his expectations. In fact, if he and Mayumi Saegusa weren't now a couple, and if she didn't know a lot about the plan, Mari Watanabe's matter might have really become the fuse for their complete break.

Mayumi Saegusa pinched Yunyi hard.
"If Mari hadn't said she'd settle the score with you herself, I wouldn't have let you off so easily. But Yunyi-kun, I won't allow you to use the students' safety as a bargaining chip a second time, do you understand?" Mayumi Saegusa said solemnly.
Yunyi responded. However, the details of the second attack remained very vague in his mind. Therefore, he couldn't give Mayumi Saegusa any reminders, and could only ask her to remind the contestants to pay close attention to the CAD situation before the competition.
Hopefully, nothing serious will happen.
