• Doctor Doom attacked Reed, but the Fantastic Four and Tony Stark defeated him by cooling him into a metal statue, which Sean later took into Umbrella’s custody.

Sean confronted Mephisto’s Ghost Rider, learned magic at Kamar-Taj, and joined Mordo to hunt Mephisto in Romania. The arc ended with Mephisto revealing that the reincarnation ritual was a decoy and preparing a supernatural assault against the sorcerers.

• Gali revealed that she had run away from her father, the Planet Eater, and Sean let her absorb his energy while Mephisto restored Matt Murdock’s sight in exchange for his service as a knight.
• Johnny Blaze agreed to help Moro find Danny in return for help lifting his Ghost Rider curse, while Justin Hammer hired Wade Wilson to pursue Sean and Umbrella’s Arc Reactor.
• Matt Murdock became Daredevil and killed Ramon Phillips and other members of The Hand before confronting Elektra and Sean in the Star Ring Building.
• Sean defeated Matt’s Spirit of Vengeance and battled Mephisto until the Ancient One intervened and brought Sean to Kamar-Taj.
• Sean studied magic at Kamar-Taj, but his exploration of other dimensions drew Dormammu’s attention and forced the Ancient One to confront him in the Mirror Dimension.
• Sean left Kamar-Taj with Mordo, joined the Demon Hunter mission against Mephisto, and traveled to Romania to investigate Carrigan’s criminal network.
• Sean and Mordo raided Carrigan’s estate, where Sean killed the werewolves and mercenaries, while Johnny Blaze arrived and the three let Carrigan escape to lead them to Mephisto.
• Carrigan summoned Mephisto, who revealed that the reincarnation ritual was a decoy, transformed Carrigan into a Hellspawn, and summoned the former Daredevil to help attack the sorcerers.
