Background

Wu Ling'er is a Witch Clan Legendary and the twenty-third generation Holy Maiden. She entered the Land Abandoned by the Gods after the Witch Clan learned that the Blood Curse and Blood Tide had returned. Her clan could offer little direct aid because the Shadow Legion had launched a full-scale invasion of Witch Clan territory. 208 216

As a non-native, Wu Ling'er was heavily suppressed within the Land Abandoned by the Gods. The destruction of the Evil God Altars also stranded her there by severing her teleportation route home. She approached Han Xing for help, explaining that the Ancient Wildfire Seed could reveal the shifting location of the Dragon Road. 215 216
