Vic didn't say anything more, greeted Dr. Tsukimi, and walked out. Wendy, however, grasped the key point in Kureha's words. This was the second time she had heard about it, and the repeated emphasis meant it was definitely not simple.

Wendy guessed that Vic had agreed to something very important in order to get Kureha to save her. She was starting to lose control of herself and quickly pulled her hand out from under the covers to cover her mouth, trying her best to suppress her emotions!

She was afraid that if she slowed down any further, she would burst into tears. She was afraid that Vic, who had just stepped out of the treehouse, would hear her. Although she tried her best to suppress it, tears kept flowing from her eyes.

Kureha had told her before that she almost died, and if Vic hadn't brought her here in time, she would be a cold corpse by now!

The Black Death only had a death cycle of a few days, and she was delayed on the warship for almost two days. Add to that the time spent at sea, and most people would have died en route.

When she was conscious, she knew it was Vic pulling the ship forward, even though she was unaware of the specifics of what had happened during the voyage, especially with a sick person on board amidst such a natural disaster.

Few people could bring her out unharmed. It's fair to say that Vic snatched her life back from the jaws of death. If she knew these things, she might not be able to control herself and her emotions would completely collapse.

"Cherish it, girl! A friend like this is hard to come by; you might only find one in your lifetime!"

Kureha glanced at Wendy, who was somewhat out of control on the bed, tilted her head back and took a sip of her drink, then sighed as if she had remembered something.

Dr. Tsukimi knew more, and his feelings were even more complicated. He didn't reveal what had happened to Wendy, Wendy was already feeling terrible. Even though Vic, who was directly involved, hadn't explained it to her, he wouldn't.

It was still night, Vic didn't choose to go find Dalton right now; even in a hurry, he couldn't wait a whole night.

He would only train outside for one night, and then go directly to Dalton at dawn. Drum Island was only so big; he could find Dalton with a quick scan using his Observation Haki. Vic needed a cold environment to temper his will.

At dawn, Chopper groggily opened his eyes and saw a figure beside him. He was startled and his short legs swung like wheels, but there was nowhere to hide in the tree hole. He ran back and forth for a while and got a little tired, but the figure did not move an inch.

Seeing that the figure didn't harm him, Chopper finally calmed down. He stopped and slowly turned to look at the figure.

It was the back view of a shirtless, black-haired man. Chopper felt a sense of familiarity with the figure; the only human he knew was Vic.

Chopper slowly moved towards the front of the seated figure. Seeing the familiar face, Chopper breathed a sigh of relief. However, he almost didn't recognize Vic as the naked person, which showed that Chopper had face blindness since childhood.

" Blue Nose! Did that scare you?"

Seeing that Chopper had stopped moving, Vic opened his eyes and asked with a smile.

He returned to the tree hollow last night, but Chopper was already asleep. Vic didn't disturb him and instead sat cross-legged in the hollow to meditate.

He didn't know how long he would be gone. He was afraid that if he disappeared for a few days, Chopper would come looking for him, and then there would be some danger.

So Vic came here just to say hello to Chopper. Young Chopper is very dependent on Vic, and if he disappeared without a word, Chopper would definitely cry his eyes out; he wouldn't be able to be comforted unless Vic showed up.

" Vic! When did you get here? Why didn't you wake me up!"

Chopper was overjoyed to see Vic and immediately jumped into Vic's arms. Chopper was a baby reindeer who hadn't been born long and lacked the love of family. Seeing Vic by his side made him feel incredibly happy. He was willing to give up some sleep. However, he didn't know that Vic had come to say goodbye.

"Hehe, I just came here to tell you that I have some things to do these next few days."

I'll leave some books for you to study on your own. I'll check them when I get back, so don't slack off while I'm away!

Vic didn't want Chopper to focus all his attention on the fact that he was going to be gone for a few days, so he used studying and checking on the young Chopper to distract him. Sure enough, when Vic was going to check on him, Chopper didn't seem too upset; his attention had clearly been diverted.

"Are you going to be gone for a few days, Vic?" Chopper asked, propping his head up in Vic's arms and looking at Vic's face.

He looked a little nervous; he was afraid Vic had been gone for too long. Vic was the first creature to be kind to him, and he wanted to live with Vic forever.

"It could take two days, or even four or five days. Blue Nose, study hard so you can better integrate into this world! Keep it up!"

Vic reached out and gently rubbed Chopper's fur, trying to focus on his studies to better ease the sadness of parting.

"Okay! I'll definitely study hard. You can check on me when you come back!" Chopper's eyes were filled with tears. Although his attention had been diverted, he was still very reluctant to part, but the sadness of separation was overshadowed by Vic.

"Okay, Blue Nose! I'm off now. Take good care of yourself, study hard, and I'll come see you when I get back."

Vic chuckled and pushed Chopper aside. Then, he stood up and waved his hand, and food and books appeared in the tree hollow. There were quite a few books, but only enough food for a week. After putting the things down, Vic didn't linger and left the tree hollow using Geppo.

Chopper stared blankly at Vic's shrinking figure, his eyes crinkling with tears streaming down his face. He felt an emptiness in his heart; he had finally found someone to rely on and find comfort in, but he felt he could lose them at any moment. The sadness was unstoppable, and the tears flowed involuntarily.

After saying goodbye to Chopper, Vic headed towards the place where they had landed earlier. His Observation Haki detected that Dalton was lingering there, and Vic guessed that Dalton was looking for him, but he didn't know why. Vic sped up and soon arrived above Dalton.

Dalton was indeed looking for Vic at that moment, and he had been searching for more than just one day. He reported the events to the King that very day, and the King immediately ordered Dalton to find Vic.

Vic saved Dalton and so many top doctors; he is a hero of the country, and the King wants to thank Vic in person.

So Dalton came here the next day to wait for Vic, and even had people keep watch there that night, fearing that Vic would leave the country silently because of his companion's death.

So many doctors were at a loss, and he didn't think Wendy would survive. He was also afraid that Vic would be upset about his companion's death and wouldn't accept his invitation. To be honest, Dalton was extremely conflicted and was staring blankly at the river in front of him.

Suddenly, several familiar sonic booms sounded overhead, followed by a light thud as the ground touched the ground beside me.

Looking back, Dalton felt like he was dreaming. He had just been wondering if Vic was still on the island when he saw him again, and Vic was even smiling at him. How could he smile after his companion died? Was he seriously ill? He couldn't help but wonder if he was hallucinating. Dalton raised his hand and rubbed his eyes hard, but Vic's figure did not disappear.

"Waiting for me?" Vic asked with a smile. Wendy was no longer in mortal danger, and he was in a much better mood, even managing a smile when he saw Dalton.

"Ah? Yes, I've been waiting for you!" Dalton was finally sure that he was seeing a real person. He was pleasantly surprised. This was his savior, powerful and mysterious.

" Dalton! Don't be so polite, just call me Vic. What can I do for you?"

Vic chuckled and patted Dalton on the broad shoulder. Dalton had a lute-like saw slung across his back. Vic wondered if the original had been repaired or if it had been remade. He couldn't help but admire the design.
