Looking down from the top of the bean vine, you can see the small Island Cloud that holds the Golden Bell. The altitude here is estimated to be around 12,000 to 13,000 meters, and the air is even thinner. However, Vic still easily jumped onto that Island Cloud.
The Golden Bell is truly enormous, and it's entirely cast in gold. The patterns on it are exquisite, and the whole thing looks absolutely magnificent!
The Golden Bell is suspended by a huge golden frame, supported by two thick golden pillars on either side. The place with the most gold is the base containing the Poneglyph.
This large base could easily be used as a sumo ring, and it stands four or five meters tall; it is truly a tremendous treasure.
However, Vic didn't get greedy. He already had enough gold, and there was no need to fleece people in one place. The Golden Bell carried a promised mission, and he didn't need to take it with him now. He could come back when he really needed it.
"Given Nami's wit and greed, she'll definitely find her way here. The Straw Hat Boy came to Sky Island for adventure, but Nami is definitely here for the City of Gold."
The Going Merry was already in bad shape when it arrived at Sky Island; without gold, they couldn't change ships. I can't take all the gold.
Without Enel and the others, it's uncertain whether the Straw Hat Pirates will be able to enter the Sky Lord's belly to search for treasure.
"Then let's leave some gold here. If it's Nami, she'll definitely find this place!"
Vic placed some gold on the base of the Golden Bell, enough to buy a new ship.
This place has remained undiscovered by the Skypieans for centuries, and it will likely remain so in the future. It requires outsiders to break through these barriers. Without Enel, Nami and Robin will probably be the first to arrive here. This world needs the Straw Hat Pirates to disrupt its corrupt order.
After carefully placing the gold, Vic then approached the Poneglyph, the object of protection for Shandora of City of Gold.
Vic already knew the general content, but Vic didn't let it go. He took out paper and ink and started making rubbings. He wanted to study Poneglyph in the future, and since there were more Ancient Script, there would be more learning materials.
"Eight years ago, Pirate King Roger and his crew stood right here visiting the Golden Bell! It was here that they learned of the existence of Poseidon."
Therefore, they must have visited Alabasta and read the records about Pluton before this.
Roger, relying on his ability to Voice of All Things, was able to know where the stones containing the Poneglyph were located.
Therefore, the journey after borrowing Kozuki Oden is a journey of deciphering the Poneglyph, all the way to the Laugh Tale, Laugh Tale!
He already knew the locations of many Poneglyph from his previous travels, and he even obtained the Road Poneglyph from the Big Mom's place before Oden boarded the ship.
With thorough preparations, Roger reached the end of the Grand Line in one fell swoop, accomplishing this feat and becoming the Pirate King!
Standing in front of the Golden Bell, Vic felt as if he were witnessing the Roger Pirates holding a banquet here, experiencing a sense of time travel. This is the charm of pursuing the past and history!
Vic was also very excited. The last time was at the Execution Platform in Loguetown, but back then Vic was weak and longed to be strong. His feelings were different from now. Vic has now gained a foothold in this world, and as time goes by, he will be able to stand more firmly.
"The native inhabitants of Jaya were driven from their homeland and lived in the shadows for nearly four hundred years. They were a pitiful group of people. Let's leave them with a little hope before we go!"
The plight of the natives of Jaya reminded Vic of a race from his past life.
Vic went directly to the Golden Bell and pulled the pendulum rope inside the bell. As a result, Upper Yard rang out a huge bell once again after four hundred years. The residents of Angel Island seemed to be put on pause, all stopping what they were doing and listening intently to the deafening bell from the sky!
In the Shandia tribe, the old chief listened to the legendary bell and wept with joy, his heart filled with hope. Their nearly four hundred years of struggle had not been in vain; the light of Shandora had not gone out. They would surely return to their homeland. Today's bell was the instruction given to him by the great warrior Calgara.
In the tribe, young Wyper and several of his friends were also listening to the beautiful bells. It was the most beautiful sound they had ever heard since they were born. The sound seemed to come from the depths of their blood, and it had a deep sense of intimacy. They knew that it would be their lifelong pursuit.
The Sky Lord, lying dead in the Upper Yard, also heard the long-lost bell. It was the companion of its childhood, but everything changed after it came to this place with thin air. It could no longer hear that enchanting bell. It had searched for it on this island for four hundred years, and finally! Today it heard it again! At this moment! The Sky Lord completely forgot its pain, and a human-like, silly smile appeared on its serpentine face.
"The last bell tolled, bringing immense destruction to Upper Yard. Who knows what changes this time the bells will bring to Angel Island! The war has gone on long enough; isn't there a perfect solution?"
God's Shrine, the god Gan Fall listened to the bells in a daze. The legend was true; the bells really did ring out throughout heaven.
The bells rang again, and Gan Fall felt a mix of emotions. He recalled the report from Amazon: what was the connection between the mysterious man and the bells? Was he comparable in significance to Upper Yard, possessing the same size and power?
The people of Angel Island, including Gan Fall, were unaware that the bells came from the Great Golden Bell. They had been fighting the Shandia and would not have learned these things from them.
I've always believed that the tolling of the bells came from the true divine guidance. The last time it rang, it brought precious, vast land—a gift from heaven. What changes will occur this time? What will change?
Vic rang the Golden Bell for a full quarter of an hour, and the sound echoed throughout Angel Island and the tribes of Shandia, even reaching the Jaya below.
The legend of the mysterious bells that once rang on Jaya has been preserved here, and Venblad Kurikai, who later came here, was also trapped on the island by this legend.
He was even more convinced of the existence of the City of Gold than in the original story. His ancestor Noland had not lied, because the sound of the bells was recorded in Noland's diary.
He abandoned his identity as a pirate and spent every day searching for the whereabouts of the City of Gold. He had deduced earlier that the City of Gold had been swept into the sky.
But when the time actually came, he didn't have the courage to look up at the sky. He was afraid it wasn't just his guess, because he had never heard the legendary bell on Jaya. He could only place his hopes on someone with more courage.
"The sound of this Golden Bell is truly extraordinary, soul-stirring! It's definitely the work of a master craftsman, not just some random gold ornament made by melting gold and pouring it into a mold. This is a work of art!"
After a moment of reflection, Vic left. Hope had been planted. Little did Vic know that ringing the Golden Bell to give the Shandia hope would bring about many changes and impacts!
Aside from the Golden Bell, there's nothing special here. He now needs to find Gan Fall to get Birka's address and how to get there.
He still doesn't know how people travel between the Sky Island Sky Island.
Gan Fall is easy to find; just use your Observation Haki to locate him. He's in the God's Shrine that Enel later occupied.
Now that Gan Fall is a god, it makes perfect sense for him to live here. Vic quietly bypassed the guards of the God's Shrine and arrived at Gan Fall's residence.
The layout here is very simple, not luxurious at all. Perhaps it's because there are too few resources in the sky, so even if you wanted to be luxurious, you couldn't.
"You must be the god of Angel Island? I have something I'd like to ask you?" Vic's voice startled Gan Fall, who was dozing with his eyes closed.
