When Luffy and Helmeppo got into a fight, the orange-haired girl eating nearby had been watching the situation closely. She had noticed the Straw Hat boy, whom she had met once before, as soon as Luffy entered the restaurant.
She never expected this boy to have such a strong sense of justice. For the sake of some strangers he had just met, he dared to go against the infamous Marine Branch Captain Morgan. He was a pirate who robbed people before, and now he was a wicked young naval officer. The orange-haired girl felt a greater understanding and affection for this Straw Hat boy. Fate seemed to have brought the two of them even closer!
Luffy beat up Helmeppo, he left the restaurant to rescue Zoro, who was tied up and roasting under the scorching sun.
Similar to the original story, Luffy tells Zoro about Helmeppo's plan and offers to rescue Zoro in exchange for him joining his pirate crew. Zoro's ambitions haven't been realized yet, and he hasn't fulfilled his promise to Kuina. How can he die? Especially not in the East Blue!
If Kuina knew that Zoro had been killed before even leaving the East Blue, she would be very disappointed! So, for the sake of that promise, and for his own ambition, he agreed to the Straw Hat boy's request!
Zoro felt no resentment or hatred towards the Straw Hat Boy's opportunistic behavior. He could sense the Straw Hat's ambition and their hearts resonated with each other, which was why he ultimately agreed!
Just as Luffy was causing a ruckus at the Marine Base, a slender figure slipped past the guards and infiltrated the Marine Base, heading straight for Nami, who had accessed the Grand Line map.
When she overheard the Straw Hat Boy wanting to rescue the Pirate Hunter Zoro at the small restaurant, she knew there was bound to be a commotion at the Marine Base, which would be the perfect opportunity for her to take advantage of the chaos.
In the original story, Nami wanted to find this sea chart because she had already stolen from almost all the pirates in the East Blue. In order to raise 100 million Beli, she had no choice but to go to the extremely dangerous Grand Line, which is why she wanted to find this sea chart.
Another possibility is that she was making preparations in advance for breaking free from the Fish-Man Pirates and going to the Grand Line to fulfill her dream. Nami, in her naive mind, was probably thinking about the second possibility!
But now that the Fish-Man Pirates are no longer a threat, Nami's trip to steal the sea chart is not only to fulfill her own dream, but also to find the benefactors of her family and village on the Grand Line!
Her benefactor Vic, has never returned to Orange Town since leaving, but the image of that man in her heart cannot be faded; on the contrary, it has become more solidified as she grows up. She cannot let go without seeing that man one last time!
Needless to say, Luffy and Zoro won the battle inside the Marine Base. Morgan's promotion to branch captain was only due to favors bestowed upon him by others; his actual strength is quite limited.
Afterwards, Marine Branch captain Morgan was imprisoned by his subordinates. These subordinates had been holding back for too long, but their own strength was insufficient to defeat this captain. Now, with the help of external forces, they finally brought down this local tyrant, and of course, they immediately locked up the unconscious Morgan!
They then relayed the captain's actions over the years to the Marine Headquarters Marine Headquarters, requesting a ruling from them.
The news that pirates had overthrown the local tyrant of Shells Town spread like wildfire, and the townspeople cheered. Luffy and his two companions were also invited to a lavish meal by a mother and daughter at a restaurant.
Nami also obtained a map inside the base, but when she opened it, she discovered that it wasn't a map to the Grand Line, but rather the symbol of the Buggy Pirates.
Nami knew that the map had already been stolen by the Buggy Pirates. Her eyes changed slightly. She crushed the piece of paper with the Joker's image on it in her hand and quickly left the Marine Branch base.
After Luffy and Zoro had eaten and drunk their fill, they were expelled from Shells Town by the Marines, while Koby stayed at the Marine Base with Luffy's help.
Of course, Koby is only a temporary worker right now, responsible for cleaning with Helmeppo at the Marine Base. Formal training is none of their business. Without external intervention, this is how their lives will be!
Although Zoro was somewhat surprised that he was Luffy's first crewmate and didn't even have a decent ship, he quickly came to terms with it. He recognized Luffy as a person, not as Luffy's power and wealth. He firmly believed that everything else could be obtained through their own efforts, and that Luffy's ambition was great, which complemented his own ambition!
Sometimes sea voyages are incredibly boring, Zoro drifted off to sleep amidst the swaying and rocking. He dreamt of Kuina again, and of the lost old man who had taken Kuina away.
During the time Kuina was away from Shimotsuki Village, Zoro learned from his teacher Koshiro who the lost old man was, and it turned out he was his senior apprentice!
Moreover, he and the World's Greatest Swordsman, Dracule Mihawk, are both members of the Shichibukai, making them roughly the same level of powerhouses. So, if he can defeat the World's Greatest Swordsman, he can defeat that man, right?
Zoro doesn't know his current strength, but he hasn't encountered an opponent in the East Blue who can make him go all out.
He had no idea about the East Blue's standing in the world. Among the Four Blues, the East Blue's overall strength was at the bottom, let alone on the Grand Line.
Zoro's vision is limited by the East Blue, and he has some misunderstanding about his own strength. He hasn't met that person yet, the one who can wake him up!
Meanwhile, Luffy looked at the Straw Hat that had just been blown away by the wind, and he thought of his old friends. The first one, of course, was Shanks, who had guided him onto the path of a pirate!
He recalled everything that happened in Foosha Village, until Shanks lost an arm to the Lord of the Coast while protecting him, and then left Foosha Village with his Straw Hat.
Next, Uncle Vic flashed through my mind, the one my grandfather initially brought to Foosha Village and made a good impression on me, and whose influence was inseparable from my growth thereafter.
Uncle Vic would spend time with him and train him every year. He both liked and feared Uncle Vic, and his fear of Uncle Vic was similar to that of his own grandfather. He almost killed him many times.
The joy he felt was naturally in companionship and good food, so his feelings for Vic were quite complex. However, the importance of Vic was still somewhat less than that of Shanks, who had lost an arm to save him. After all, Shanks had genuinely saved his life, for which he had lost an arm, and he had always felt guilty about it!
Whether it was fate or Luffy's overwhelming aura, after regaining his senses, he was still carried away by a large bird because he wanted to eat meat.
Zoro was speechless and anxious, so he quickly rowed off to chase after them. Meanwhile, Nami had already arrived in Orange Town because of the mark that Buggy the Clown left at the Marine Base!
