"Let's pretend you didn't peek. Luffy and the others are alright, right?"
Robin looked incredulous, but she couldn't produce any concrete evidence; it was all just her speculation. Vic's methods were too clever; even if he had really been spying, she and Nami wouldn't have noticed.
But Robin doesn't really care about these things. Vic wants to see it, but they won't mind. They are all children of the world, and they don't want to lose a piece of meat. Just watch it. There are not so many conservative ideas in this world.
Putting all that aside, now that she was safe, she thought about Luffy and his crew's safety again.
"They're all fine! They were just scattered to different places. The real purpose is for you to focus on developing yourselves for two years, becoming stronger before embarking on new adventures!"
"By the way! The leader of the Revolutionary Army is Luffy's biological father. Although Luffy has never met him, his Pops still cares about him a lot. Just go with them to the Revolutionary Army Headquarters. They won't harm you. You can train with them there. You should have a deep understanding of your own weakness by now!"
Vic didn't continue the previous topic, but instead spoke seriously to Robin, saying that he didn't intend to change Robin's trajectory. The Straw Hat Pirates and the Revolutionary Army needed a bond of mutual understanding, and that bond was Robin. In any case, they could train peacefully at the Revolutionary Army Headquarters, so Vic didn't need to take her away.
"That infamous Revolutionary Army leader, Dragon? He's Luffy's father!... Isn't Luffy's grandfather the Marine Garp the Hero? His grandfather was a Marine, his father was Revolutionary Army, and he himself became a pirate! What's going on with this family? This is too... fantastical!"
Robin was shocked by Luffy's background. She had learned a lot of information through the Revolutionary Army's newspapers in the past few days, especially the rumors circulating about the Paramount War. Now, with Vic's explanation, she had a complete understanding. She was truly amazed by this family. Indeed, the children of monsters are little monsters too!
"That's right! Vice Admiral Garp is indeed Luffy's grandfather and Dragon's father, so you don't need to worry too much about the Revolutionary Army. With your strength and abilities, you're already hanging out with the higher-ups in the Revolutionary Army. They're all very strong, and you can ask them to give you some pointers sometime."
" Mr. Vic! Isn't Robin coming back with us? Is it really a good idea to send him to that organization?"
Olvia couldn't stand it anymore. Although her daughter wasn't in any immediate danger, the Revolutionary Army Headquarters was no safe place. It was a thorn in the side of the World Government, and they wanted Robin to stay there for two years. That was far too dangerous. It would be safer for her to go back to Titan Island with them. She trusted Vic's abilities more than the Revolutionary Army.
"That depends on Robin's own choice. I never force anyone. Robin herself chose to join the Straw Hat Pirates. I'm just telling her the facts objectively. The choice is hers."
Vic is inclined to let Robin stay with the Revolutionary Army, but he won't force her. If Robin doesn't want to, he can take her back and "train" her. Robin isn't that important a link in the Revolutionary Army; with him around, Robin seems dispensable. In the end, Vic will definitely coordinate everyone's situation.
"Mom! I want to go see our Captain Father's Revolutionary Army. I heard they're warriors fighting for freedom! Mr. Vic said it's fine, so it must be fine, don't worry!"
Robin seemed to sense Vic's inclination, so she took the initiative to persuade her mother. Since Vic had already said that it was Luffy's father's organization, her safety was definitely not a problem. Vic also seemed to have some connection with the Revolutionary Army!
Even Vic thinks so, so there's nothing to hesitate about. She still wants to fulfill her mother's wishes. There's been no progress after all these years, and she can't afford to be a third wheel now.
"Well...! Alright then!"
Although Olvia didn't want her daughter to suffer outside, since her daughter insisted, there was nothing more to say. Children and grandchildren have their own blessings. As long as Robin was safe, this trip would be considered a success, and she wouldn't ask for anything more.
"Mom! In all these years, have you seen any other Poneglyph?"
Having decided on her future, Robin brought up the more important matter. There was a Poneglyph in Ohara that she and her mother had both seen, but afterwards she only found two more: one in Alabasta and the other under the Golden Bell on Sky Island. Both of those Poneglyphs recorded the locations of the Ancient Weapon, which made her very frustrated and feel that the future was bleak!
So she wanted to find some confidence in her mother, who had searched for the Poneglyph for much longer and might have found something even better than she had.
"Of course I've seen them. Mr. Vic showed them to me, but they were all rubbings. There wasn't much proper historical record; it was mostly Poneglyph records of certain locations!"
Olvia was also disappointed. Vic had given her so many rubbings of the Poneglyph, but only a few sentences actually recorded history. Although she had already handed over the mission to Robin, she still couldn't let go of these things. The thought that such a large Ohara was now reduced to just her and Robin made her feel uneasy!
"Does it record the locations of Ancient Weapon?"
Robin's eyes lit up when she heard her mother's affirmation, but she was also disappointed when she heard the rest. However, the clever Robin quickly thought of something and blurted out the question.
How did you know?
"Because I also found two Poneglyph recording Ancient Weapon!"
Olvia was somewhat surprised. She hadn't gone into detail before because she didn't want to tell Robin about the Ancient Weapon, fearing her daughter would be used. But now that her daughter already knew, there was no point in hiding it anymore.
"You mean the Alabasta and Sky Island? I've already made copies of them. You should have seen the message Pirate King Roger left on the Golden Bell, right? The Void Century from 800 years ago lies ahead. As long as we keep following the trail, the truth will eventually be revealed!"
Vic sensed the mother and daughter's frustration, so he offered words of encouragement, saying that even if the entire Grand Line lacked a record of the Void Century Poneglyph the Poneglyphs, the Laugh Tale, Laugh Tale, would surely have one!
That truth is a nuclear weapon capable of shaking the rule of the Celestial Dragons and the World Government. Joy Boy couldn't possibly have left it behind. He laid out so many schemes and left so many contingency plans. Did he really think he could succeed with the passion of his descendants and Nika Form? That would be too naive!
That would inevitably require gathering the strength of the entire world to launch a combined attack. That was Vic's guess, anyway. It was enough to encourage the mother and daughter. They just needed a reason to persevere; whether it was true or not didn't matter.
"Yes! Mr. Vic must be right, Robin!"
"Um!"
"By the way, Mr. Vic! You've been to Sky Island? Then... is the gold there...?"
"That's right! I took them all. If it weren't for the important significance of that Golden Bell, I would have taken it too."
" Mr. Vic! You're really something else! We almost didn't even have the money to buy a ship. Nami said they risked being eaten by a giant snake to find some gold inside its belly. So it all started with you! I'll definitely tell Nami about this and see how you face her then!"
"Cause and effect! You can't blame the cause for the effect, can you? Even in a queue, there's a first-come, first-served order. I went to Sky Island a long time ago, and I didn't break your ship. This has nothing to do with me."
Vic didn't want to face Nami, that spoiled brat. She was a woman who loved money more than anything. If she knew he had taken so much gold from Sky Island, she would definitely fly into a rage and might even demand half of it from him. Nami didn't care who you were; when it came to money, she would switch to a completely different mode.
