Background / History

Uka is a transmigrator who entered the shinobi world from birth rather than inheriting an existing person’s memories. His attachment to family is sincere. Despite possessing an adult’s memories, he instinctively fears disappointing Toka and remains openly affectionate toward her. He also regards Tsukika as family, insisting that his home should remain hers after her teaching assignment ends 9 244 245.

He is playful in domestic life, teasing Chiharu and joking with friends, but can be severe when exercising authority. As Soratate’s branch head, he uses death threats and sweeping marriage restrictions to end a feud; in warfare, he carries out mass killings for military objectives and system gains. As Soratate’s branch head, Uka handles disputes involving families tied to the Senju through several generations of marriage. He ends one feud with threats, punishments, and a sixty-year ban on new marriages into the clan 224 225.

At twelve, his team receives permission to undertake missions independently. After overcoming his transformation-training bottleneck and becoming a Jōnin, he takes responsibility for twenty-four subordinates, with Kenchū’s squad providing additional protection 227 242 244 245.

Resource Campaigns and Summoning Island

Uka oversees the transfer of the Merchant Ninja Organization to Senju control, while Masamae Kamijō retains its name and control of Kisen Island. He later secures agreements with the Bear Valley bears, Albatross Clan, and Golden Eagle Clan 261 266.

During the ensuing conflict, Katsuyu brings him to Shikkotsu Forest. She asks him to reach Six Paths strength, break the space’s restrictions, and summon her outside; she also warns that his energy absorption could attract Hagoromo’s attention 274.
