"Be careful!" Tian Flying Swallow's alarm bells rang in her mind. She quickly summoned the nine divine dragons to form a shield of light. The giant blade struck the shield with a crisp "clang," the golden light flickered, and the nine dragons roared simultaneously. She herself was jolted back three steps, her throat feeling sweet—this Ghost King's strength was even greater than that of High Immortal Level immortal in the Shinobi World!
"Little brat, stop dodging!" The scarred-faced ghost king swung his blade again. "No matter how strong your National Fortune is, you're still just flesh and blood. My Soul-Shattering Blade has wounded the Ghost Emperor before, so why should I be afraid of not being able to kill you?"
Tian Flying Swallow didn't reply, but instead controlled the Crimson Dragon to crash into the giant sword. The flames spewed from Crimson Dragon crimson dragon licked the blade, causing the scarred-faced ghost king's hand to tremble, almost causing the giant sword to slip from his grasp. He paused, then cursed, "Why does this National Fortune Dragon Fire hurt so much?"
"Because you kill the dead, and protect me is the faith of the living." Tian Flying Swallow said coldly, suddenly rushing forward two steps, causing the nine divine dragons to scatter and circle behind the Ghost King. The scarred Ghost King thought she was going to fight head-on, and raised his sword to strike, but he didn't expect the divine dragons to suddenly turn around, and all nine dragon tails struck his back at the same time—"Bang!" He staggered forward a few steps, and a crack appeared in the armor on his back, from which black blood seeped out.
"A golden opportunity!" Tian Flying Swallow seized the chance and pushed the Nine Dragons Jade Seal forward. Nine divine dragons simultaneously swooped down, their claws grabbing at the other nine ghost kings. A ghost king with an armored shell had a piece of its shell torn off by the Azure Dragon, spitting out acid in pain; a ghost king with eight arms had three arms frozen by the White Dragon, its weapons falling to the ground. Hundreds of Asura ghost generals tried to help, but were swept aside by the dragons' tails. The thousand ghost soldiers who had surrounded them fared even worse; those that got close to the light shield were instantly burned to ashes by the National Fortune.
Just as she was getting into the swing of things, she suddenly felt a chill on the back of her neck—not a murderous aura, but something far more sinister, like a pair of eyes staring at her from a great distance, with an indifferent look down on an ant. Tian Flying Swallow abruptly looked up, towards the deepest part of the Asura Prison, where the black mist was as thick as ink, obscuring everything, but she was certain that something was watching her, more terrifying than the Ten Ghost Kings combined.
"It's the Ghost Emperor..." The scarred Ghost King noticed her gaze and suddenly laughed, his smile making the scar tremble. "It seems your National Fortune's fortune is too good; even the Lord of the Asura Prison has been alarmed... If he were to make a move, you wouldn't even have any bones left!"
Tian Flying Swallow's heart sank. She had never met the Ghost Emperor, but she had heard Tsubasa say that the various lords of Hell were ancient monsters who had lived for countless ages and were not people that mortals could defeat. Although that gaze had only swept over her once, it had made her Chakra in her chest stagnate—like being stabbed by an ice pick, making her shiver.
"We can't afford to waste any more time." She gritted her teeth and controlled the nine divine dragons to crash into the ten ghost kings. The Crimson Dragon bit the arm of the scarred ghost king and wouldn't let go, while the purple dragon burrowed into the eye socket of the burning skull. Taking advantage of the ghost kings' screams, she bent down to pick up the Soul Crystal that had just fallen on the ground, and then took out a jade bottle and stuffed all the Soul Crystal into it.
"Trying to run?" The Scarface Ghost King, his eyes bloodshot with pain, ripped his arm off, spraying black blood all over the Crimson Dragon, weakening Crimson Dragon flames. He raised his giant sword and slashed at the Tian Flying Swallow's leg, "Leaving behind the National Fortune of the human world!"
Tian Flying Swallow rolled to the side, the giant blade slashing the ground, splitting a crack ten feet wide. She had just gotten up when she suddenly felt a weight on her feet—it was that shelled demon king! It had somehow burrowed underground and used its shell to bind and imprison her feet, the barbs digging into the soles of her boots, making her gasp in pain.
"We've got her!" the Shell Demon King roared, tightening its shell. The other eight demon kings surrounded it at the same time, some raising their swords, others clenching their fists. Dark purple malevolent energy condensed into sharp spikes on their hands, ready to pierce it.
Tian Flying Swallow grew anxious, slamming the Nine Dragons Jade Seal to the ground and shouting sternly, "The people of the thousand cities of Yan Nation pledge allegiance to me— the National Fortune of Yan Nation rests on my divine power!"
As she shouted these words, a blinding golden light suddenly erupted from her body, and a sun seemed to appear on her chest. The nine divine dragons suddenly tripled in size, their roars so powerful that even the Ten Ghost Kings covered their ears. The Crimson Dragon shattered the shell of the Carapace Ghost King, the white dragon froze the scarred face's giant sword, and the most powerful of all was the black dragon, which plunged directly into the black mist, sweeping away a group of Asura Ghost Generals who were about to approach—she had borrowed the faith of the Yan Nation's people to push the National Fortune to its limit.
Taking advantage of the fact that the ghost kings were blinded by the golden light, Tian Flying Swallow suddenly pulled back her foot and ran towards the edge of the battlefield. Nine divine dragons protected her from behind, ramming into anyone who chased after her. The Crimson Dragon even grabbed a ghost general who tried to ambush her and slammed him to the ground, causing Soul Crystal to fall out.
She ran towards the part of the black mist that was thinnest, which should be the spatial node she had entered from. As she ran, she suddenly felt the chill on the back of her neck return—even stronger than before, as if a pair of eyes were right above her head. Tian Flying Swallow didn't dare to turn around, but simply threw the Nine Dragons Jade Seal behind her, and the nine divine dragons immediately turned around and formed a wall of light.
With a muffled "bang," the wall of light shook, and the nine divine dragons simultaneously let out a mournful cry, their colors fading considerably. She vaguely saw a dark figure flash through the black mist, taller than the Ten Ghost Kings, seemingly holding a scepter, but her face was obscured.
"Ghost Emperor..." A chill ran down her spine, and she ran even faster. Finally, she saw a hazy gray light ahead—a spatial node! She leaped into it, and in the last moment before her body disappeared, she glanced back—the dark figure stood atop the mountain of corpses, his scepter tapping the ground, causing all the black blood of the Asura Prison to flow towards him. The ten Ghost Kings and hundreds of Ghost Generals knelt on the ground, their heads bowed low, as if in worship.
When she opened her eyes again, Tian Flying Swallow was already standing on the blood-red plain, with a red stream beside her, its water gurgling and a fishy smell in the air. Her legs went weak, and she sat down by the stream, looking at her reflection in the red water—her hair was disheveled, her skirt had a hole in it, and her arms were stained with black blood, but the National Fortune in her chest was still beating warmly, protecting her.
" Flying Swallow, are you alright?" Tsubasa's voice came from behind, tinged with urgency. "Why did you take so long to come out? I sensed a strong fluctuation of National Fortune emanating from you..."
Tian Flying Swallow turned around and saw Tsubasa running towards her. He noticed the black blood on her arm, his expression darkening. He crouched down, grabbed her wrist, and examined it before letting out a sigh of relief, "It didn't damage your foundation... Did you run into a tough opponent from the Asura Prison?"
She handed him the Nine Dragons Jade Seal, then took out the two jade bottles containing Soul Crystal from her spatial ring, dumped them on the grass, and red and dark red crystal cores rolled all over the ground. "We encountered the Ten Ghost Kings and a Hundred Ghost Generals, and even alarmed the Ghost Emperor, who was trying to seize the National Fortune. Quickly check if the Nine Dragons Jade Seal is damaged."
Tsubasa picked up the Nine Dragons Jade Seal, rubbing its surface with his fingertips to warm it, his brows furrowing even more. "The seal is damaged, but it's alright, the National Fortune will repair it. I didn't expect even the Ghost Emperor to be tempted by your national National Fortune? Your National Fortune is too conspicuous; don't venture into Hell again." He took out a clean handkerchief from his robes, dipped it in stream water, and wiped the blood from her arm. "But... these Soul Crystal are quite good."
Tian Flying Swallow watched him wiping away blood, then suddenly laughed, "What's there to be afraid of? The Emperor of Yan Nation, afraid of being targeted by ghosts? How can he break through his limits then?" She picked up a Soul Crystal, held it up to the sun, and saw the red light spinning within its core. "Next time I break through, I'll come back. I'll bring the National Fortune of Yan Nation and snatch that Ghost Emperor's precious scepter for you to play with."
Tsubasa chuckled and patted her head, "Let's go back to the human world first! The Ghost Emperor are all itching to make their move."
Tian Flying Swallow stood up and walked back across the blood-red plain, still clutching the Nine Dragons Jade Seal in her hand. The wind ruffled her skirt, seemingly blowing away the murderous aura she had felt in the Asura Prison, leaving only the cool touch of her hand and the sound of footsteps beside her. She thought: It's alright to come again next time. With the Nine Dragons Jade Seal, the protection of the National Fortune, and him by her side, even the Ghost Emperor couldn't do anything to her.
