Chapter Summaries

The Third Mizukage surrendered Kirigakure’s fleet to Konoha’s overwhelming blockade, and Uchiha troops began shackling the captured ninja. Karatachi Yagura resisted, revealing the Three-Tails’ chakra and declaring he would rather die than submit.

• The Uchiha pilot shot down a seagull attempting to escape the blockade, convincing the Third Mizukage that there was no way out.
• The Third Mizukage ordered Kirigakure’s forces to surrender, and tens of thousands of ninja threw down their weapons.
• Konoha’s landing craft rammed the flagship, and Uchiha Jōkan boarded to fit electronic ankle shackles on the captured ninja.
• Two Jōkan ordered Karatachi Yagura to drop his staff and submit, but he awakened the Three-Tails’ power and refused to become a dog.

Shu Shiraishi used a wide-area Kotoamatsukami projection to subdue Yagura and ordered Kirigakure’s prisoners enslaved for labor. At the east coast camp, Granny Chiyo recognized Shu and watched him with deep hatred.

• Yagura unleashed Isobu’s power and began forming a Tailed Beast Bomb, but Shu Shiraishi activated Orochimaru’s Kotoamatsukami projection and made Yagura collapse and kneel.
• Shu Shiraishi ordered Yagura returned to Konoha so the Three-Tails could be drained, and directed that the Kirigakure prisoners be shackled and sent to the east coast labor camp.
• At the labor camp, Granny Chiyo struggled to push a rock-filled wheelbarrow through the mud while an Uchiha Jōkan threatened the workers with an electrified whip.
• Granny Chiyo spotted Shu Shiraishi surveying the camp and stared at him with venomous hatred.
