Uchiha Takashi snorted and raised his head, only to meet the curious stares of a large group of clansmen.
The surrounding crowd, civilians, and Guard Force personnel all looked on with curiosity, seemingly wondering what exactly was this thing and how it could be so powerful.
Uchiha Takashi glanced at them. "Go away, get out of the way. What are you doing here? Don't you have anything better to do? Guard Force, get the order under control! Can't you see the traffic jam here?"
After Uchiha Takashi's rebuke, the surrounding crowd scattered like birds, but they still looked back longingly at the scene.
The members of the Guard Force looked at each other in bewilderment, then approached and asked, "Clan leader, what exactly is that? Is it some new, high-damage Ninjutsu?"
Seeing the curious look in the eyes of the Guard Force member, Uchiha Takashi reached out and patted him on the shoulder. "Hey, this thing is much more effective than Ninjutsu."
You can use it if you have Chakra, and you can use it even if you Chakra n't. If things get really heated, you can throw any weapon made from this thing at civilians and they'll be ambushed and killed!
"What?" The Guard Force ' eyes widened in disbelief. "So powerful?"
Uchiha Takashi nodded. "Of course, this is the power of technology, you know gunpowder, right? Oh well, it's no use telling you."
All you need to remember is that this thing is the absolute core of the Uchiha Clan's power, their trump card. You must keep this secret and not allow anyone to know!
Upon hearing this, the Guard Force immediately stood at attention. "Yes, patriarch! This is the clan's top secret! It must be handled with the highest level of confidentiality!"
Uchiha Takashi was very satisfied with his answer, smiled and nodded before leaving.
Just then, he suddenly noticed the injured researchers, who were tearing off pieces of cloth with their hands to bandage their wounds.
The cloth, which looked like it had been found somewhere, was covered in dust and was obviously very dirty; it was stuck to the bleeding wound.
This made Uchiha Takashi grimace, inwardly wondering, "What the heck? A full-scale attack? Won't this cause an infection?"
Upon thinking about this, Uchiha Takashi's mind suddenly clicked, and he suddenly remembered the casualty reports from the battlefield.
The wounded soldier died inexplicably without any medical-nin assistance... Could it be that he died from an infected wound?
This situation is quite common, and often occurs among seriously injured patients.
It's likely that those ninjas had better physical constitutions, so the infection was less deadly to them. It was only after suffering severe injuries that their bodies' resistance was greatly reduced, and without the help of medical-nin, the infection caused them fatal damage.
Uchiha Takashi thought this made a lot of sense; people in this era simply didn't know what bacteria or wound infection were.
If you get injured, you can just grab a cloth and bandage it up; if you can handle it, you can handle it; if you can't, you'll die. Thankfully, there's still medical care.
Our ancestors also left behind several medical books so that the Uchiha Clan members could find some herbs to play with.
However, this method of bandaging, which completely disregards bacteria, will inevitably lead to wound infection.
Uchiha Takashi hadn't noticed it before; his mind was preoccupied, and he wouldn't have remembered it unless he saw it directly.
But now that he has seen it, he absolutely will not allow his people to die from infected wounds!
Thinking this, he turned and headed straight for the hospital.
This hospital was also built on his orders; it didn't even exist last year, it was only built this year.
It houses the clan's most elite medical-nin, and all the herbal medicine books are stored here for use. Clan ninjas or civilians alike come here for treatment when they are injured or sick.
Uchiha Takashi stepped into the hospital, where medical-nin were treating some patients.
Uchiha Takashi wasn't in a hurry; he just watched from the sidelines, very curious about how this medical-nin treated patients in an era with such limited medical knowledge.
The medical-nin glanced at the patient with feigned concern, then crudely sensed their presence with Chakra, casually pulled out a few herbs from a drawer, tossed them over, and that was it—the patient simply took the herbs and left.
The next injured person was even more outrageous. The medical-nin glanced at him briefly, extended a hand, and used Chakra to perform a simple treatment. After that, without even using herbs, he simply grabbed a cloth and wrapped the wound up.
"Put it there!" Uchiha Takashi could no longer stand still and shouted to the medical-nin and the injured civilian.
He immediately drew everyone's attention.
"Clan leader? What brings you here?" The medical-nin only then noticed Uchiha Takashi and quickly stood up to greet him.
Uchiha Takashi waved his hand and strode up to him. "Tell me, what the hell were you doing just now?"
The medical-nin paused for a moment, then replied, "Is it to see a doctor? Is there a problem?"
Uchiha Takashi rubbed his forehead. "This is a huge problem! Tell me, what kind of doctor are you seeing? Is this how you treat patients?"
I don't care about the sick person; at least I prescribed medicine and told him to go home and take it. But tell me, what happened to this injured person?
The medical-nin looked bewildered, tilted his head, and said, "Just do it like that? Use Medical Ninjutsu to heal him, then wrap him up in a cloth, no problem!"
Uchiha Takashi said speechlessly, "That's the problem I was talking about. Where did you find this cloth? Has this cloth even been washed? It's so filthy, and you dare to put it on your wound?"
Are you really not worried about your wound getting infected?
"Wound infection? What's that?" The medical-nin was completely bewildered, utterly unable to understand what Uchiha Takashi was saying.
Uchiha Takashi looked at the medical-nin and said, "I asked you, after you were wounded on the battlefield and received some basic treatment and bandaging, did those wounded people develop a fever?"
When you open the packaging, will the wound fester and ooze pus?
"Huh, clan leader, how did you know? Sometimes wounds do fester, and the injured do get fevers, but some people don't. We categorize this as individual differences," the medical-nin said, stroking his chin.
Uchiha Takashi: "It's true that there are individual differences, but have you considered why the wound might still worsen and rot even after treatment?"
This is a wound infection. When you bandage a wound with something unclean, bacteria can get onto the wound and multiply.
When bacteria multiply excessively, it can cause wound infection, leading to various symptoms such as fever, coma, dizziness, and in severe cases, even death!
The medical-nin's eyes widened. "What the hell? So it was that thing that was behind it all? That thing called bacteria, is it some kind of insect?"
Uchiha Takashi: "... Hiss, you could call them bugs, right? They're the kind of bugs you can't see with your eyes, tiny, tiny, just this tiny bit, but their reproductive rate is terrifying. They can multiply several times in just a short time."
The medical-nin didn't understand what bacteria or microorganisms were, but he knew about insects. Insects that crawl onto wounds and burrow into the body—what good could they be?
