Shen Yun resolved the Great Thunder Sound Temple crisis and entered the examination, where his strength carried him to the tournament’s top three. As his clash with Ye Jiuge escalated, Ye Jiuge unleashed his concealed Purple Firmament Purgatory Lightning.

• Shen Yun debated the Demon Buddha, persuaded him to accept that he had lacked the strength to control demonic arts, and helped him become Kongwen.
• The Demon Buddha killed Commander Mo and the Mirror Division members who came to seize him, then vanished after promising Shen Yun future aid.
