Arrival in Fallen Maple Territory

Lei Lin is a surviving descendant of the ancient Qilin Clan. After mistakenly entering a spatial rift, he reaches the continent, suffers an ambush by a black-robed attacker, and escapes into the Kane Lineage’s forbidden grounds. There he forms a contract with Loran; the contract mark resembles the Kane family crest 1.

Despite his injuries, Lei Lin spends almost all his remaining strength shielding Loran from a black-robed cultist’s attack. Loran and Old Byrne subsequently take him into the lineage’s secret chamber, where a purification crystal cleanses his wounds and merges into his body 2 3.

The Bone-Eroding Cult

Lei Lin helps defend Fallen Maple Territory against Rotting Bone Bats and Bone-Eroding Vines. During the battle, he initiates his first mental exchange with Loran and teaches him to combine Dou Qi with Qilin flames to purge poison. Their combined attack destroys the enemy leader’s phantom, although the leader escapes 4.

After activating the Frostfire Ice Crystal, Lei Lin accompanies Loran into the Blackthorn Mountains. They rescue the Icefield Wolf and reach the Frostfire Secret Realm, where Lei Lin holds off the Bone Serpent Priest while Loran attempts to free Snow Spirit Qilin. The two Qilins’ forehead marks resonate, drawing together the realm’s ice and fire elements 5 6 7.

Lei Lin later reaches the fifth tier through ice-fire spring cultivation and develops radiant flames in the Holy Spring. He continues fighting beside Loran against the Bone-Eroding Cult, including protecting him during the assault on the pope’s evil mine 9 12 16.

The Abyss Campaign and Reconstruction

Lei Lin and Snow Spirit Qilin contribute their thousand-year-cultivated origins to Loran for the continent’s protection. The expenditure damages Lei Lin’s essence: his wings become thinner and tremble during flight, requiring support from Loran and later nourishment from the Life Crystal Core 19 23 26.

During the campaign against the Abyss Matriarch, Lei Lin helps power the dwarven warship, reinforces its defenses, and fights through insect swarms. He suffers wing injuries while restraining the Matriarch but continues channeling fire against the evil-energy storm so Loran can strike its source 33 40 47 48 49.

Lei Lin insists on accompanying the expedition against the Matriarch’s Origin Worm and later helps the allies reach and overcome the Evil Energy Hive. After the abyss is purified, he returns to Qilin Radiance Peak with Snow Spirit Qilin to rebuild their holy land and teach the next generation 51 52 59 61 62 63 68.

The Youth Camp and Contract Rifts

While traveling with Loran and the Youth Camp, Lei Lin reaches the Spirit Core Transformation Realm in the Eastern Realm Bamboo Sea. His new crystal power helps repair the Crystal Vein Mother Stone, and his plant-language ability enables direct communication with the Bamboo Spirit 114 116.

The group subsequently frees the Ancient Wood tree spirit and restores the Ice Soul Flower mother plant. At the Far North Rift, visions reveal that the Black Ice Giant raised Lei Lin as a juvenile Icefield Wolf and gave him his golden crystal pendant. Lei Lin offers to become the rift’s permanent anchor, but he and Loran instead stabilize it through consensual spirit-core sharing, freeing the giant without sacrificing either partner 118 120 124.

Their Spirit Core Symbiosis later projects evidence of the Ice Spirit Clan’s ancient sacrifice onto the steles at Crimson Flame Peak. With Lord Fire Rock’s cooperation, the party repairs the breach there and continues toward the final contract 130.

Divine Springs and the War Against Chaos

The Spirit Marrow Spring strengthens Lei Lin and awakens his horn lightning. He protects Loran during recovery, kills Mo Chen and Qin Feng after Loran is struck unconscious, and transfers vitality and lightning into his partner to revive him. Further nourishment leads to the awakening of Thunder Domain 141 142 147 150.

In the Magical Beast Forest, Lei Lin fights the Blood Bone Demon God and helps Loran purify the chaos contaminating the World Tree’s origin of the laws. His contract resonance supplies Qilin divine power, strengthens their purification domain, and eventually contributes to Loran’s breakthrough to God Lord 156 164 165 166 167.

Lei Lin becomes a Sovereign-level divine beast through resonance with Loran’s ascension. During the final purification, his Qilin origin power fuses with Loran’s creation power to activate the Ancient Sovereign Rune. Afterward, he returns with Loran to the restored Kalon Continent and chooses a peaceful life guarding their homeland 180 183 185.

• Early Qilin form: A steed-like body with crimson scales, a crimson mane, golden slit pupils, a long tail, and a contract mark between the brows. Two pairs of thin crimson fire wings unfold behind his shoulders 2 3 4.

Lei Lin repeatedly places Loran’s safety above his own. He protects him while barely recovered, takes the full impact of an unstable crystal current, and intercepts a chaos blade powerful enough to kill a peak Deity-level expert. His determination not to let Loran be hurt directly triggers his Spirit Core Transformation breakthrough 2 114 116 160.

His loyalty extends beyond their contract. He willingly contributes his cultivated origin for the continent’s safety, insists on confronting threats at their source, and later teaches young Qilin Clan members to control fire. After reaching Sovereign level, he asks only to remain in their homeland with Loran 19 51 68 185.

With Loran, Lei Lin is openly affectionate, frequently nuzzling his hand or resting against him. Their bond develops into explicitly described mutual feelings during the Youth Camp journey, accompanied by promises to remain together 116 118 119.
