• Yang Jian returned to the meeting and said Zhang Xianguang and his group were in Dahan City, then invited the captains to go with him.

When Yang Jian and the captains rejected him and attacked, Zhang Xianguang returned in multiple identical bodies as Ghost Messenger’s darkness closed around them.

• Liu San led Yang Jian, Li Jun, Wei Jing, He Yin'er, Lu Zhiwen, Zhou Deng, and Li Lepeng to the abandoned Shuangqiao Town Elementary School, where Zhang Xianguang appeared.

• Outside Shuangqiao Town Primary School, Zhang Xian and Chen Qiaoyang watched as Zhang Xianguang fought eight captains inside the Ghost Messenger’s deadly arena, ready to unleash the Ghost Messenger if needed.
• Inside the oil painting’s Ghost Post Office, Zhang Xianguang told Yang Xiao and the other messengers that he was the third administrator and intended to move everyone into the Ghost Painting world.
• Zhang Xianguang escaped through an exit in the oil painting, appeared beside Sun Rui, and left with Nie Yingping carrying a derivative Ghost Painting.

As Yang Jian, Liu San, and Li Lepeng moved to break in, He Yin'er summoned a powerful decaying old man, who swiftly turned all five Zhang Xianguangs into graves.

• He Yin'er summoned three deceased spirits, and two of them joined forces to kill one Zhang Xianguang while Yang Jian and the others killed another.
• Four more Zhang Xianguangs emerged from the teaching building, forcing Yang Jian and the others to retreat and reconsider their approach.
• Lu Zhiwen deduced that the real Zhang Xianguang and the secret of his restart were inside the teaching building, and Yang Jian planned to enter with Liu San and Li Lepeng while He Yin'er held off the others.

Yang Jian later traced signs that Zhang Xianguang might have escaped and rushed back toward the other captains after finding an oil lamp outside the school.

• Zhang Xianguang dismembered Yang Jian’s body and split his Ghost Shadow, but Yang Jian’s cracked spear pinned one duplicate while his vicious dog dragged another into a dream.
