Yang Jian led a pack of vicious dogs to the last remaining area of the castle.
This was a spacious assembly hall, and its decor was more refined than elsewhere. Rows of weapon racks stood along both sides, holding cold weapons such as swords, spears, and shields.
"Is no one here?"
Yang Jian swept his gaze around. There was not a single person here; the place was completely empty. Yet judging by the scene, people had been here moments ago, because several drops of fresh blood still lay on the floor. Those bloodstains should have dripped from Luo Sheng and the others.
"Every part of the castle has been searched. This is the last place. If no one is here either, then only one possibility remains: the few of them have already escaped the Nightmare World."
"If that's true, they'll be hard to kill."
Yang Jian entered the hall and surveyed his surroundings, seeing whether he could find any clues.
The vicious dogs were searching as well, sniffing for traces as they tried to track the enemy.
But there was nowhere in the hall to hide. Yang Jian did not even need to search carefully. After casually walking around once, he was certain that there was nothing here.
Still, out of caution, he chose to wait here for a while, to see whether the vicious dogs searching the castle would discover anything.

Inside a hidden, sprawling private estate overseas.
Liu and Luo Sheng were jolted awake from their dreams in the middle of the night. Cold sweat covered their bodies, and lingering fear filled their hearts as their minds replayed everything that had happened in the Nightmare World.
"Something happened."
They hurried out of their rooms and met up.
"We need to report this immediately.
