The village shrouded in darkness had begun to grow dangerous.
Yang Jian wandered through the village. Along the way, he did not see a single person or hear any movement. The place was utterly silent, devoid of any noise. He had not even heard the screams people made before they died.

Knowing that, an ordinary person would have been too terrified to move after standing here for just a minute or two.

From afar, someone seemed to be standing at the entrance of the ancestral hall. But because of the lighting, he could not see clearly. He could only make out a blurry silhouette pacing back and forth beneath the light, seemingly restless.
