Room 301 was even stranger than imagined.
There were clearly no people, nor had they found any fierce ghosts, yet everything—every single item—reeked of something unnatural.
But what made them most uneasy now was this:
The doll that had been inside the vegetable basket had vanished.
The room was not large.
Yang Jian searched it once but found nothing. In the end, he could only turn his attention to Li Yi, Yang Xiaohua, and Liu Qingqing. If that eerie doll was still here, perhaps one of them was hiding it.
The three of them had also noticed the strange state of the room, and all felt an inexplicable sense of panic.
"Where is that thing?" Yang Xiaohua's entire body was tense and stiff.
She did not even dare turn her head recklessly. Her eyes merely shifted around, trying to spot something nearby, yet she was afraid of actually finding anything.
Room 301 was not large.
If there really was something terrifying here, a messenger from the second floor like her would undoubtedly die. It would be difficult for her to survive in such an environment.
"Yang Jian, I didn't find it." Li Yi had grown much bolder. He was searching around as well, moving with considerable force.
But like Yang Jian, he had not found the mysteriously vanished doll.
"It's not on any of the three of them, either."
Yang Jian observed the three of them.
There was no sign of the doll on them.
Yet the more this was the case, the more uneasy he became. That thing had indeed disappeared, and it had vanished inside this room. It could not possibly have had the chance to escape outside.
